Abstract

The science of Islam sourced from the Qur'an and Hadith should not be positioned in a place apart from other clusters of science, but should be put as a source of knowledge. The Qur'an and Hadith as the source of Islamic teachings serve as guidance (al-huda), explanation (at-tibyan), differentiator (al-furqan), and even healer (as-syifa'). There are many mathematical studies in the Qur'an that describe the science integrated in the Qur'an. One of the Qur'an explains about mathematical concepts such as set, line, calibrate, integer, fraction, and circle. Mathematics is a central science in everyday life and mathematics has been introduced early on. Mathematics is the language used in the creation of the universe. Thus, to learn and understand the verses of Kauniyyah is necessary mathematics. Understanding of the universe will lead to the awe of the power of Allah SWT. In addition, mathematics is also capable of providing a deeper approach to understanding Qawliyyah verses. Muslim scientists contribute thoughts and findings on mathematics. Abstract

Religious life in Indonesia is very dynamic with the emergence of various cases set to religious radicalism.. The phenomenon is not only growing at a particular community, but its existence has been developing in the form of transnational institution. Even pesantren as part of Islamic tradition of archipelago is often associated as' base or central understanding of Islam fundamental become root for growth radical movement that in the name of Islam. The radicalization of understanding at certain pesantren huts that impact on acts of radicalism in Indonesia should be laid in the context of the development of transnational Islamic movements due to the various developments of the existing world. The results of this study concluded that Islam as a universal religion of love (rahmatan lil 'alamin) which teaches education by upholding human values, respecting human rights, respecting cultural and cultural diversity, craving peace, justice, tolerance and a balanced attitude, and other noble manifestations. Dogmatic groups that justify acts of violence in the name of religion have reduced and injured the teachings of rahmatan lil 'alamin. Islamic education (Pesantren) that teaches hatred against different opinions and beliefs is not ideal for the continuity of diversity and diversity in Indonesia. Pesantrens infiltrated by radicalization need to be reoriented in a direction compatible with the Islamic spirit that teaches mutual respect and brotherhood. A number of values that are taught are tolerant, moderate, togetherness, equality, mutual respect and degrees of Islamic multicultural education

Abstract

Islam Nusantara is not a new thing. The word "Islam" combined with "Nusantara" is not only confirmed the name, but also the characters to show the pattern of a heterogeneous entity. The concept of Islam Nusantara face (vis a vis) with Islam in the Middle East (Islam Arab). Diversity as a typology of Islam Nusantara is the result of the struggle that the length between religion and dimensions of life (social, economic, politic, culture and etc.), the text of the context that complement one another so that spawn Islam friendly, peaceful, anti-radical, harmony and rahmatan lil 'alamin. Departing from the historical and epistemological approach, this article tries to provide a long discourse that was raised again in the "Declaration of Nahdlatul Ulama" at the International Conference of Islamic Leaders Moderate (ISOMIL) which took place from 9 to 11 May in Jakarta. The purpose of writing this article is actually also want to answer the issues pointed out that Islam Nusantara models reflect the teachings of Islam are not singular.

Abstract

The things of initiating the discourse about the thinking of Islamic Education from the perspective of Hasan al-Banna is a result of thought he was about the concept of Islamic education, namely to return it to the Qur’an and the hadiths. An extensive microinsurance conducted a type of qualitative research and library research. With the method and approach such technique is expected can be known exactly how the Islamic education from the perspective of Hasan al-Banna, and how the relevance of education thought Hasan al-Banna in developing the Islamic education in the future. From the research that has been done, it is known that the perspective of Islamic Education according to Hasan al-Banna on the fact is concerned with the overall aspects of the authors mentioned above and want to realize all kinds of education as a whole. Because of Islamic education is education man completely; the mind and heart, spiritual and physical, morals and skills. Hasan al-Banna formulate Islamic Education built on the religion of Islam that originate from: First, the Qur’an and tafsirnya, which prioritizes the misinterpretation of Salafist insurrection. Second, the United States of the Sunnah with keauntentikan and syarahnya with keep on the priests of the hadiths is trusted.

Abstract

Various multidimensional crises that exist in Indonesia which is recognized or not is the part of cultural problem, one of the reasons is the diversity of the cultures that exist in our society. The diversity of culture should not be the cause of the existence of discrimination, injustice, suspicion and a variety of human rights violations, but being the power to build a community sense. The multiculturalism thought that exists in Indonesia resting on Islam as a source of thought. With the implementation of multicultural education, teachers are expected to be able to encourage learners to have an awareness and understanding to always uphold the values of justice, democracy, humanity and pluralism in the association in the middle of the national reality that is full of diversity.

Abstract

Most of academicians argue that islamophobia is more enlarge after 9/11—troppled the twin towers of the World Trade Center by attacking three commercial jetliners. It is no doubt that 9/11 has hold the comeback of religion into world agenda which situated in political, ideological, religious, economic, sociological, cultural and other questions. Under such conditions, the authority announced the dangerous climate, constitutes the military to begin “war on terror” intent to safety; in other way, it makes way to invoke a battle ethic between “good and evil” such as the meaning of dangerous and safety. In the present article argues that such global waron terror and its prevention policies can lead to the institutionalization of Islamophobia, circulate for extremism to flourish of public imagination. It is a project of terror and also counterterror as discourse of islamophobia. Base on Runnymede Trust, Islamophobia coined to describe racism of Muslims and intolerance of their religious and cultural beliefs. This discourse turn up after Cold War as Huntington clash of civilizations’ thesis and Fukuyama’s declaration of capitalism and liberal democracy along with Gulf War and Islam revolution. Afterward, this paper will not fully demonstrate alldiscussions, but instead will look briefly at make sense of islamophobia with some discriminations, intimidations and exclusions on the muslim and its impact on the cultural measures.

Abstract

Teachers have a great responsibility towards the continuity of the learning process in school. Be aware or not, in addition to the tools and all things related to the teaching and success of educational goals, it turns out the personality of teachers is a very decisive success of learning. To avoid apathy and students' forced  obedience, the teacher should improve his personality competence, how a teacher can be a student learning partner, featuring a good personality that can serve as a role model for her students and become a driving force in learning. This research is a research with quantitative approach. The population of this study are all students of class VII SMPN 7 Kediri amounted to 317 students. While the sample in this study as many as 175 students. Sampling is determined by Random sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaire and documentation method. While statistical data analysis uses product moment correlation formula. Based on the research results, it is obtained a conclusion that the personality competence of PAI teachers included in good category. Based on the results of correlation calculations, it can be deduced that there is a strong and significant correlation between the teacher's personality competence to student learning motivation. The magnitude of the correlation coefficient is 0.616, while the correlation significance results obtained the value of t count = 10.2858. The value is greater than t table = 1.654 at the error rate of 5%. While the determination coefficient test obtained results 0.3794.

Abstract

Madrasah is part of educational organizations that provide Islamic education. Madrasah continues to innovate and reform in their implementation to become educational institutions that have advantages and can compete in the midst of globalization.. One form of effort to improve teacher performance is the actualization of madrasah organizational culture, which is reflected in aspects of values and norms that are believed to be true, attitudes and behavior of madrasah residents, and all habits traditions that are internalized with educational programs in Madrasah. This study aims to describe the organizational culture of madrasah by referring to the concept of theory, descriptive analysis to improve teacher performance. The method in this reseach used an approach mixed method. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, documentation, interviews, and observation instruments. The data are presented with quantitative descriptive analysis accompanied by qualitative descriptive analysis. Respondents and informants in this research were selected through cluster sampling, which consisted of madrasah principals, teachers, and private madrasah aliyah committees in Jepara. This study describes that the achievement of madrasah organizational culture in the dimensions of values, attitudes, and habits reaches an average value in the excellent category. It is necessary to increase the collaboration indicators between teachers and appreciate the performance. There are organizational cultural values that are believed to be a form of worship and a spirit of devotion (hidmah), and prioritize education based on exemplary, habituation of religious activities and the formation of ahlakul karimah.

Abstract

Krisis yang merambah Indonesia kini adalah krisis multidimensional, mulai dari krisis moral, etika dan toleransi. Kemunduran nilai-nilai moral anak didik saat ini telah menjadi peringatan bagi semua pihak, terutama lembaga pendidikan dan orang tua. Banyak kasus yang menimpa generasi muda, mulai dari kasus tawuran, narkotika, pergaulan bebas dan perbuatan menyimpang lainnya. Perpustakaan memiliki peran sebagai pelestarian ilmu pengetahuan, informasi, pendidikan, penelitian, rekreasi, dan kultural. Perpustakaan yang ideal pada dasarnya adalah sebuah perpustakaan yang mampu memberdayakan masyarakat, melakukan revolusi minat baca dan mampu mengubah karakter masyarakat dari masyarakat tuna informasi menjadi masyarakat yang berliterasi. Hal ini mejadi dasar pemikiran untuk mengoptimalkan peran perpustakaan dalam pendidikan karakter bagi generasi muda. Perpustakaan berperan mengajarkan beberapa karakter, yaitu cinta ilmu pengetahuan, gemar membaca, perilaku disiplin, berbagi dengan orang lain, serta mengajarkan tanggung jawab. Kajian ini termasuk kajian library research dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis empiris, metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasilnya bahwa Perpustakaan dapat menjadi unsur penting dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter. Diantara caranya adalah keteladanan layanan dari pustakawan, pengadaan buku dan koleksi yang lebih lengkap dan menarik, kemudahan akses, kedisiplinan manajemen sirkulasi, serta layanan mandiri virtual libarary yang terintegrasi dengan akses buku elektronik maupun e-jurnal.

Abstract

Upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan menjadi isu strategis nasional serta kajian manajemen mutu pendidikan. Faktor kinerja guru menjadi salah satu faktor yang menentukan capaian kinerja madrasah dalam memenuhi standar pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dimensi dan indikator kinerja guru, selanjutnya menganalisis kontribusi variabel kinerja guru terhadap mutu pendidikan madrasah. Sampel penelitian ini adalah guru Madrasah Aliyah swasta di kabupaten Jepara. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster sampling sebanyak 178 responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis konfirmasi faktor pada pemodelan struktural dengan aplikasi SmartPLS.30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor kinerja guru direfleksikan dengan baik pada empat dimensi pembentuk, yaitu dimensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial dan kepribadian. Dimensi profesional dan kepribadian guru memiliki kontribusi yang kuat dalam memprediksi peningkatan capaian standar mutu madrasah. Secara keseluruhan indikator pada variabel kinerja guru memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap capaian mutu pendidikan madrasah dengan nilai koefisien jalur adalah 0,494 atau sebesar 49,4% dipengaruhi oleh kinerja guru.
