Abstract

AbstrakKeberadaan komunitas literasi terus mengalami perkembangan. Secara kritis, komunitas literasi hadir untuk memajukan aktivitas literasi. Pada perkembangannya, kehadiran komunitas literasi bukan hanya berada di kota besar. Komunitas literasi semakin eksis di berbagai kota di Indonesia, salah satunya berada di Kabupaten Sumenep. Eksistensi dari komunitas literasi di Sumenep memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan, karena memiliki tujuan yang positif.  Namun, setiap masyarakat Sumenep memiliki cara pandang yang berbeda dalam menilai kehadiran komunitas literasi. Oleh karenanya, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna komunitas literasi bagi masyarakat kota Sumenep dalam pembangunan SDM. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi constitutive. Fenomenologi costitutive mengkonfigurasikan kesadaran individu berdaasrkan pengalamannya dalam ralitas sosial. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pengambilan subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive. Dengan begitu, subjek penelitian adalah masyaraka yang berada di kecamatan Kota Sumenep. Alasannya adalah kecamatan Kota Sumenep menjadi pusat dari berbagai aktivitas komunitas literasi di Sumenep. Perspektif teori dari Herbert Blummer mengenai interaksionisme simbolik menjadi alat analisa dalam fenomena ini. Dengan menggunakan teori Blummer diperoleh 3 makna komunitas literasi bagi masyarakat Kota Sumenep. Pertama, komunitas literasi bermakna sebagai tempat untuk melahirkan penulis. Kedua, bermakna membentuk kaum intelektual. Ketiga, memiliki makna sebagai tempat mempebaiki minat baca. Ketiga pemaknaan tersebut, terjadi melalui proses interaksi, melakukan penafsiran, dan membentuk objek sosial.AbstractThe existence of the literacy community continues to develop. Critically, the literacy community exists to advance literacy activities. The presence of the literacy community is not only in big cities. literacy community increasingly exist in various cities in Indonesia, one wich in Sumenep regency. Excistence of  the literacy community in Sumenep has a significant influence, because it has a positive purpose. However, each Sumenep society has a different perspective in assesing the presence of the literacy community. Therefore, this study aims to determine the meaning of the literacy community for the peoplo of Sumenep in developing human resources. This research uses a qualitative method with a constitutive phenomenologyl. Constitutive phenomenolgy configures individual consciousness based on his experience in social reality. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Taking research subjects using a purposive technique. The research subjects are people who are in the Sumenep City subdistrict. The reason is that sub-dictrict of Sumenep City is the center of various literacy community activities in Sumenep. Herbert Blummer theoretical perspective on symbolic interactionisme becomes an analytical tool in this phenomenon. By using Blummers theory 3 meaning of literacy community are abtained for the society of Sumenep City. First, the literacy community is meaningful as a place to give birth to writers. Second, it means forming inttelectuals. Third, it has meaning as a place to improve reading interest. Three meanings occur through the process of interaction, interpreting, and forming social objetcs.

Abstract

Abstract— Education and the body are closely related. School as a means of education does not only transfer knowledge to students, but also hones awareness of their bodies. However, in the field, it shows that Madurese female students who study in Madura do not realize that their bodies are the objects of power relations that operate through a hidden curriculum. This research tries to explain the cause. In order to obtain data about it, a case study approach, as a cluster of qualitative methods, was used in this field work. The data, which were mostly obtained from unstructured interviews, were then explained using social body studies. The results of this study indicate that the body as an object of power relations appears in the regulation of the use of the headscarf (“Jilbab”)for Madurese female students, especially those who attend SMPN 1 Labang, Bangkalan. Thus, the public schools there seem to discipline Madurese female students as if they are undergoing a regular Islamic boarding school or madrasah education almost everyday life. Abstract

Masyarakat Sumenep memegang teguh nilai patriraki dalam kehidupannya. Salah satu nilai patriarki yang diterapkan oleh masyarakat Sumenep adalah seorang pemimpin harus seorang laki-laki. Namun, pada kenyataannya kepala desa di Desa Lalangon saat ini dpimpin oleh perempuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat rasionalitas masyarakat desa Lalangon memilih kepala desa perempuan. Metode yang digunakan berupa kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penggunaan prespektif fenomenologi diharapkan dapat memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih luas dalam diri individu mengenai motif sosialnya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan juga menggunakan sumber sekunder dari jurnal dan buku. Penggunaan teori dalam penelitian ini menggunakan konsep teori rasionalitas dar Max Weber. Weber melihat jika individu memiliki tahapan ideal dalam melakukan tindakan sosialnya. Oleh sebab itu, dengan menggunakan teori rasionalitas dari Max Weber, dapat membantu untuk melihat tindakan sosial dalam pemilihan kepala desa perempuan di desa Lalangon Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan ada 4 rasionalitas, yakni rasionalitas afeksi, rasionalitas instrumental, dan rasionalitas nilai.

Abstract

The schools in Sumenep still become spaces that reproduces patriarchy. Documentation data at two high schools, SMAN 1 Kalianget and SMAN 1 Sumenep, show that for 15 years the majority of teachers selected to participate in the selection of principal candidates were male teachers. This study aims to analyze the patriarchal habitus of selecting prospective principals at SMAN 1 Sumenep and SMAN 1 Kalianget. So far, the selection of school principal candidates has been a contested space that is full of conflicts, but is often forgotten. The method used is qualitative with a Schutz phenomenological approach. Interviews, observations, and documentation became tools for data collection. Through Bourdieu's theory, the result is that the reproduction of the patriarchal teacher selection to participate in the selection of prospective principals occurs due to the defeat of female teachers' accumulated capital with male teachers. In addition, there is the politicization of religion and matrilineal relations with patriarchy being the main habitus. This condition causes female teachers to experience defeat in an arena.
