Abstract

In learning a foreign language such as Arabic, vocabulary is a very important aspect. This study discusses an android-based picture guessing game in increasing the Arabic vocabulary of MI Hasyim Asyari Jember students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness or not of the Android-based picture guessing game in increasing vocabulary. The object is students of class II MI Hasyim Asyari Jember. This research is included in the pre-experimental research because it only uses one class as the experimental class as well as the control class. The design used was one group design pre-test post-test. Researchers used the data method in the form of a test with ten multiple choice questions. Based on the results of the pre test and post test, the average pre test result was 61.5 and the post test average was 83.5. In addition, the calculated t value is greater than t table so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So, an android-based picture guessing game can be said to be quite effective in increasing the vocabulary of grade II students with a percentage of 65.75%.

Abstract

Mastery of Arabic vocabulary is very important for Indonesian Umrah pilgrims. In today's digital era, the difficulties in mastering vocabulary faced by pilgrims can be overcome by developing digital dictionaries. This study aims to develop and evaluate an Android-based Digital Indonesian Arabic Dictionary and Website. This study used the ADDIE Model. The instruments used were user assessment questionnaires, vocabulary mastery tests, interviews, and participatory observations. Data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test. From the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores of users of the Digital Indonesian Arabic Dictionary, it is known that there is an increase in mastery of Arabic vocabulary in Indonesian Umrah Hajj pilgrims. They rated this dictionary product as good, sufficient, and excellent in aspects: user interface, word search, usage examples, translation features, and application quality. The Digital Indonesian Arabic Dictionary still has to be developed with new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Metaverse, and so on.

Abstract

Abstrak : Arabic is a very important language for millions of Islamic people around the world both Arabic and non-Arab, al- Imaratul Mustaqimah islamic boarding school is one of the islamic boarding schools that creates cadres of Islamic cadres and cadres of the nation by equipping their students with learning Arabic. The existence of phesantren as an uplifting educational institution is increasingly challenged to improve itself in every activity carried out in the book, for example in the practice of teaching methods. Learning methods are one of the important factors in the continuity of learning Arabic. for the success of teaching relating to the methods used . MIM stands for mimicry which means to imitate and memorization which means memorization. the methods used in teaching at Al Imaratul Mustaqimah islamic boarding school are usually very monotonous and even the use of methods is not in accordance with the learning objectives The main problems of this study are: (1)How is the application of the mimicry and memorization method in kalam skills in pesantren (2) how is arabic learning in pesantren? This type of research is an experimental research design with the use of pretest and posttest in one group. the sample of this study was some of the students of Al-Imaratul Mustaqimah Islamic boarding school. The results of this study can be concluded as follows that the method of mimicry and memorization in order to improve the development of speech skills is very effective.
