Abstract

The low quality of education in Indonesia is actually a long-standing discussion. But until now permasalahn the quality of education is also finished. Quality education is the expectations and demands of all stakeholders in education. Everyone will certainly prefer menntut science at an institution that has a good quality. On this basis, schools / educational institutions should be able to provide good service and quality in order not to be abandoned and unable to compete with other educational institutions. From a variety of views, criteria and indicators that we can take that quality education could be improved if the school has one) support from the government, 2) Leadership Principals effective, 3) Performance good teacher, 4) relevant curriculum 5) graduates quality, 6) culture and climate of effective organization, 7) the support of the community and parents. Implementation of management in improving the quality of education is a real solution is to be hope in order to manage the indicators of the quality of education to create a synergy in efforts to improve the quality of education. Abstrak Rendahnya mutu pendidikan di Indonesia sebenarnya merupakan diskusi yang telah lama ada. Namun hingga saat ini permasalahn mutu pendidikan tidak juga kunjung selesai. Pendidikan yang berkualitas merupakan harapan dan tuntutan seluruh stakeholder pendidikan. Semua orang tentunya akan lebih suka menntut ilmu pada lembaga yang memiliki mutu yang baik. Atas dasar ini maka sekolah/ lembaga pendidikan harus dapat memberikan pelayanan dan mutu yang baik agar tidak ditinggalkan dan mampu bersaing dengan lembaga pendidikan lainnya. Dari berbagai pandangan, kriteria serta indikator yang dapat kita ambil bahwa pendidikan yang bermutu dapat ditingkatkan apabila sekolah memiliki 1) dukungan dari pemerintah, 2) Kepemimpinan Kepala sekolah yang efektif, 3) Kinerja guru yang baik, 4) kurikulum yang relevan, 5) lulusan yang berkualitas, 6) budaya dan iklim organisasi yang efektif, 7) dukungan masyarkat dan orang tua siswa. Implementasi manajemen dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan merupakan sebuah solusi nyata yang menjadi harapan agar dapat mengelola indikator mutu pendidikan untuk saling bersinergi dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan Kata Kunci: Peningkatan Mutu, Manajemen Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of lecturer competence on the character of students at IAIN Lhokseumawe. The research method used is quantitative with a path analysis model. The research subjects were students of IAIN Lhokseumawe. With a total sample of 351 people. Sampling was done using the proportional random sampling technique. Based on the research findings, professional competence has the strongest and most significant impact on character development followed by pedagogical, social, and personality competencies. This finding implies that higher education institutions need to develop lecturers' competencies, especially professional competencies to realize better character education among universities.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi Dosen terhadap karakter mahasiswa IAIN Lhokseumawe. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan model analisis jalur. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa IAIN Lhokseumawe dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 351 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik proporstional random sampling. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi profesional memiliki dampak paling kuat dan signifikan terhadap pengembangan karakter diikuti oleh kompetensi paedagogik, sosial dan kepribadian. Temuan ini berimplikasi bahwa lembaga pendidikan tinggi perlu mengembangkan kompetensi dosen terutama kompetensi profesional guna mewujudkan pendidikan karakter yang lebih baik di kalangan perguruan tinggi.Keywords: pedagogical, professional, personality, social, Islamic student character

Abstract

This article aimed to determine: (1) the effect of Principal Leadership in Effectiveness Islamic School (2) the effect of Teacher Commitment in Effectiveness Islamic School. This article aimed to obtain the effect of exogenous variables on endogenous variables of research and this research use Path analysis. Subjects were principal and teacher in Lhokseumawe Islamic School. The sample was 108. Based on the hypothesis testing can be concluded: (1) there was a direct effect Principal Leadership to Islamic School Effectiveness by t count ρ31> t table α=5%(3,787> 1,659); (2) there was a direct effect Teacher Commitment to Islamic School Effectiveness by t count ρ32> t table α=5%(3,481> 1, 659). The results provided an overview of the Principal Leadership and Teacher Commitment effect in Effectiveness Islamic School. Abstract

Leadership is a key factor in the success of Islamic education institutions to achieve the desired quality. Leadership can be define and interpreted as a process of influencing other people to be involved and to bring change to the desired future. Some theories and models of leadership have existed so far and become the main reference in Islamic education institutions. But it has not been able to make Islamic education institutions a quality educational institution. There are still many people who think that Islamic education institutions are second-class educational institutions. Prophetic leadership is one of the comprehensive leadership models because it is taken directly from the style, method, type carried out by the Prophets. The internalization of the value of prophetic leadership allowsIslamic education leaders to be better because in the process of leadership adhering to the Qur’an and hadith.

Abstract

Manajemen strategis merupakan implementasi perencanaan, pemantauan, analisis, dan evaluasi yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dari semua kebutuhan yang diperlukan oleh organisasi dalam upaya mencapai tujuannya. Perubahan yang terjadi secara cepat dan spontan di lingkungan organisasi akan membutuhkan organisasi yang mampu untuk terus melakukan evaluasi strategi. Implementasi manajemen strategis membantu organisasi mengetahui kondisi organisasi saat ini, kemudian menyusun strategi, menyebarkannya dan menganalisis keefektifan strategi manajemen yang diterapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi manajemen strategi dalam lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kepustakaan (library research). Dalam memperoleh data penelitian, peneliti mengumpulkan, menganalisis, mengorganisasi, sumber dari artikel, buku, penelitian terdahulu tentang implementasi manajemen strategi dalam bidang pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa dalam implementasi manajemen strategik lembaga pendidikan harus merumuskan beberapa aspek, yaitu: 1) visi, misi dan nilai-nilai lembaga pendidikan, 2) tujuan jangka panjang, 3) menentukan strategi priorotas, 4) menyusun indikator kinerja, 5) menguraikan tujuan secara operasional, 6) memperhatikan kebutuhan sumber daya (fisik, manusia, keuangan), 7) memantau dan melaksanakan perencanaan operasional secara rutin dan terjadwal.

Abstract

The increasing public interest in Islamic Education Institutions has not been followed by efforts to improve the quality of Islamic Education Institutions (IEI). The quality of IEI will have an impact on its competitiveness. This research uses a qualitative method of literature type. The data collection technique starts from mapping, analyzing, and evaluating data from primary sources in the form of scholars' results of previous studies. The findings in this study are four main things that must be achieved or maintained by Islamic educational institutions to improve quality and have competitiveness: 1) Islamic educational institutions must have a high quality that follows the wishes of parents, government, and society in general. 2) Islamic educational institutions need to pay attention to and examine every customer response from Islamic educational institutions because the main goal is to provide satisfaction to customers of Islamic educational institutions (students, parents, government, and the world works). 3) Innovation is necessary because Islamic educational institutions can respond to changing times. Islamic education institutions must continue to innovate, including institutional innovation and management, curriculum innovation, learning innovation, innovation of learning facilities and infrastructure, and innovation by educators and education staff. 4) effectiveness and efficiency is the estuary of the management process.

Abstract

This study aims to portray internal and external quality assurance at higher education institutions, and the purpose of implementing quality assurance at educational institutions. In obtaining the data, this study used a library based qualitative approach by collecting data from books, journals, and articles. Based on the content analysis of the data, this study found that internal quality assurance includes: 1) policies and procedures for quality assurance; 2) approval, monitoring and periodic review of programs and awards; 3) student assessment; 4) quality assurance of teaching staff / lecturers; 5) resources student learning and support; 6) information systems; 7) public information. The external quality assurance includes: 1) use of procedures; 2) process development; 3) criteria for decisions; 4) processes in accordance with objectives; 5) reporting; 6) follow-up procedures; 7) periodic implementation reviews; and 8) system-wide analysis. The five objectives for quality assurance in educational institutions are improvement, innovation, communication, motivation, and control.

Abstract

In a strict and competitive work environment, educational institutions require a strong and supportive organizational base. This research was conducted to find a conceptual framework of reliable organizational conflicts to improve the effectiveness of school organizations. Research methods use library studies by relying on data sourced from a variety of relevant literature, both research journals and books. Data is analyzed by critical analysis of conflicts that occur in Indonesian schools. The results of the study found a conceptual framework of organizational conflicts that mediated the influence of transformational leadership and interpersonal communication on organizational effectiveness. The conceptual framework is expected to be beneficial to organizational managers, educational practitioners, researchers and academics as an effort to revitalize and develop higher competitive organizations. In general the organizational effectiveness studies are concerned with aspects of motivation, leadership and communication, however the originality of the study this time makes organizational conflict a contributing factor for organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

Professional character development necessitates a variety of outcome-based evaluation strategies. This article suggests modifying the concept and substance of the lecturer evaluation system to improve professional lecturer characteristics. Qualitative research using the grounded approach, technological data mining, and experience Data analysis on MPI professional practice at IAIN Lhokseumawe utilizing analytic research. The study's research boundaries represent instructors' professional competency in the aims of the Tri Dharma of higher education. The results of the study revealed that the new subject offered by the MPI IAIN Lhokseumawe. To begin, lessons learned about professional traits based on religious beliefs and job evaluations have implications for classroom instruction, research, and community outreach. Second, the identification of empirical indicators of professionalism outcome attainment is identified by performance assessment reports and procedures for building a culture of professionalism that is regarded as ideal for formalization through a reward and punishment system. Third, professional growth in higher education is accomplished by strategic evaluative personal skills, substantial education, institutional training, job autonomy, and adherence to an ethical code. When the principle of professionalism is studied, the practical implication will be the establishment of a global management professional who will contribute qualitatively to the demands of the industrial world and raise the growth of the global economy as a whole.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Peningkatan mutu merupakan tugas yang paling utama, dan menjadi prioritas utama bagi setiap lembaga, termasuk Ma'had Bukit Shafa. Standar pendidikan ditentukan oleh kualitas yang dihasilkan oleh fasilitas pendidikan. Hal ini dapat diketahui dengan menghitung jumlah santri yang berprestasi, baik akademik maupun ekstrakurikuler, serta lulusan yang sesuai dengan tujuan lembaga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1)  Perencanaan efektivitas manajemen dalam mewujudkan mutu lembaga Ma’had Bukit Shafa Kecamatan Pintu Rime Gayo Kabupaten Bener Meriah menggunakan berbagai startegi diantaranya: startegi evaluasi diri, strategi komunikasi, strategi target mutu, dan startegi kerjasama. (2) Pelaksanaan efektivitas  manajemen dalam mewujudkan mutu lembaga Ma’had Bukit Shafa Kecamatan Pintu Rime Gayo Kabupaten Bener Meriah yang terdiri dari beberapa aspek diantaranya:  aspek kurikulum, aspek penerimaan santri,  pola penempatan guru, sarana dan prasarana, dan anggaran (3) Faktor pendukung efektivitas manajemen dalam mewujudkan mutu lembaga Ma’had Bukit Shafa yaitu: kepemimpian yang kuat, ustadz dan ustadzah, kemauan motivasi belajar santri yang kuat, lingkungan, kemandirian, kerjasama/teamwork, kepercayaan masyrakat, bantuan masyarakat dan pemerintah. Faktor penghambat efektivitas manajemen dalam mewujudkan mutu lembaga Ma’had Bukit Shafa yaitu: minimnya tenaga pengajar,  sarana prasarana, kurangnya sumber belajar, kurangnya kedisiplinan, anggaran belum mencukupi. Kata Kunci: Efektivitas Manajemen, Mutu Lembaga
