Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam motif tenun lawo Mbuli Lio yang dihasilkan oleh penenun Mbuli. Meskipun berupa hasil dialog dan observasi didapati prinsip-prinsip geometri seperti simetri, trnsformasi, refleksi dan pengulangan. Disamping itu juga didapat konsep-konsep matematika dalam motif lawo Mbuli Lio seperti garis lurus, garis lengkung, lingkaran dan bangun polygon seperti segitiga, segiempat, bentuk binatang, piramida dan lain-lain. Penting bagi kita terutama guru di sekolah untuk mempelajari dan mengajarkannya kepada siswa untuk dijadikan sumber dalam pembelajaran konstekstual disamping itu juga siswa memperoleh wawasan baru tentang pengetahuan matematika yang pada hakekatnya memiliki wajah yang beragam, bukan hanya matematika formal di sekolah, sehingga pebelajaran matematrika dapat dimulai dari suatu kehidupan nyata yang dialami oleh siswa secara langsung.

Abstract

This research focused on the difficulty of students doing interaction activities in learning mathematics in school. Sometimes even smart students will get used to silence in class. Students are not accustomed to actively interacting, even though student activities are very important in the process of learning mathematics. Activities that occur in learning, include several aspects such as listening to the teacher's explanation, asking if there is something that has not been understood, answering the question of the teacher or other friends, having active discussions if allowed group work, solving practice questions if they are given by the teacher and so on. The activities included in it are interactive activities. Interaction in this research is an activity that occurs about the needs of the learning process, namely the relationship between teacher and student, student and teacher, student and student, and student and learning resources. The method used in this research is how the interaction that occurs is related to the interaction model. The expected results of this study are students can actively interact in every learning process in school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of students' critical thinking in solving realistic mathematical problems of geometry material in terms of learning styles. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Critical thinking in this study refers to critical thinking with FRISCO criteria. In this study, subjects were taken from students of class VII SMP N 2 Ende Selatan. Each student's research subjects have visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Data collection is done by providing a Problem Solving Test (TPM) and an interview. The results obtained, subjects who have a visual learning style, critical thinking processes in solving realistic mathematical problems, able to understand problems, the subject has not been able to determine ways to solve problems, the subject has not been able to carry out the settlement and the subject does not re-examine. Subjects who have auditory learning styles, critical thinking profiles in solving realistic mathematical problems are able to understand problems, but the subject does not re-examine. Subjects who have kinesthetic learning styles of critical thinking processes in solving realistic mathematical problems are able to understand problems, are able to plan problems, subjects can carry out well and check the results.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the activities and learning outcomes of students on integer operating materials using beaded props. The type of research used is PTK research. The population used is all students of Grade Vll Grade SMP Sokoria, and the sample in this study was 20 Students of Class Vll SMP Negri Sokoria. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive statistic analysis. Based on activities in cycle I and cycle II, the percentage of students' learning outcomes increased, namely cycle I students who completed only 13 people or with a percentage of 65% while those who had not completed 7 people or with a percentage of 35%. While in cycle II students completed 20 people or with a percentage of 100%. From cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that the percentage of students' learning outcomes increase from 13 complete people to 20, complete people. All students sampled in this study achieved KKM scores.

Abstract

This study aims to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes of geometry material by applying problem-based learning. This research is a type of classroom action research with the John Elliot model with four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection, which is carried out in two cycles. The data obtained were obtained from instruments in the form of an assessment rubric for critical thinking skills and tests to determine student learning outcomes on geometry material. The subjects in this study were class VII students of SMP Rewarangga Ende, totalling 20 people. Technical analysis of the data using a comparative descriptive technique between cycles. The results showed that: (1) there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills from the initial conditions, cycle 1, and cycle 2. In the initial condition the level of critical thinking skills in the critical category was only 43%, in cycle 1 76%, and in cycle 2 increased to 97%; (2) student learning outcomes of geometry material also increased. In the initial condition, only 42% of students experienced completeness, in cycle 1 it increased to 51% of students who completed, and in cycle 2 it increased to 68%.

Abstract

Learning mathematics must be related to the real context of everyday life. Contextual learning is learning within the context of everyday life, ethnomathematics is the knowledge that links mathematics with cultural elements, and ethnomathematics is the concept of knowledge about the development of mathematics in various cultures. This study aims to improve students' activities and learning outcomes through ethnomathematical-based contextual learning in terms of students' mathematical abilities. This type of research is classroom action research with four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, a reflection which is carried out in two cycles. Data were obtained from instruments in the form of rubrics for assessing students' mathematical abilities and tests to determine student learning outcomes. The subjects in this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Ende Selatan, totaling 20 people. The data analysis technique used a comparative descriptive technique between cycles. The results showed that: (1) there was an increase in students' mathematical abilities from the initial conditions, cycle 1, and cycle 2. In the initial conditions students' mathematical abilities averaged 48%, with the implementation of the model in cycle 1 65%, and in cycle 2 80 %. (2) student learning outcomes have also increased. In the initial condition, only 37% of students experienced completeness, in cycle 1 it increased to 65% of students who completed, and in cycle 2 it increased to 86%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical dispositions using the PBL model setting STAD. The sample in this study was the second-semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at the University of Flores for the academic year 2020/2021 as many as 20 people. This study uses survey and correlational methods. The research instrument used a non-test instrument, namely a questionnaire composed of 27 statements based on indicators of mathematical disposition, namely: 1) self-confidence, 2) self-efficacy, 3) curiosity, 4) happiness to do assignments, diligent and diligence, 5) flexible, and 6) reflective. The results showed that learning number theory using the PBL model setting STAD in second-semester students of the University of Flores' mathematics education study program for the 2020/2021 academic year got a positive response were on average students had a high mathematical disposition attitude indicator, namely 68.5%.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to find out student activities by applying realistic mathematics learning, SPLTV material in class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Ende for the 2021/2022 academic year, (2) to find out students' mathematical representation abilities by applying realistic mathematics learning, SPLTV material on class X SMA Negeri 1 Ende for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with data collection techniques namely observation, testing and documentation. This research occurred in two cycles with the same implementation stages. Based on the research data it can be concluded that learning planning using realistic mathematics learning received a positive response from students. This can be seen from the percentage of student activity of 69% in the pretty good category. Cycle II showed a very good change in activity, where the percentage of student activity was recorded at 94% in the very good category. The realistic mathematics learning used in this study also had a positive impact on students' mathematical representation abilities. Verbal representation ability 69.83% in cycle I increased to 79.3% in cycle II. The symbol representation ability of 68.22% in the first cycle increased to 85.33% in the second cycle. Therefore the researchers concluded that realistic mathematics learning can improve student learning activities and mathematical representation abilities of class X Sma Negeri 1 Ende.
