Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of emotion regulation training for stress reduction and increased optimism on the unemployed in Yogyakarta, especially the unemployed and a half unemployed. Emotion regulation training is training that uses concepts based on skills Greenberg recognize emotions, emotional expression skills, skills to manage emotions, and skills to change negative emotions into positive emotions. Subjects in this study is the subject of underemployed. The data was collected using a stress scale, an optimism scale, interviews and observation. The research design used was pre-test post-test control group design. Analysis of the research is quantitative and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis with hypothesis testing using t-test analysis test to determine whether there is emotion regulation training effect in reducing stress and increasing optimism among the experimental group and control group. Qualitative analysis was conducted based on observation, interview, job sheets. The result of this study is no difference of level of stress and levels of optimism significantly between experimental groups and control groups before training, after training and 2 weeks after training.

Abstract

Work-Family Balance is an important aspect that must be owned by teaching staff, including female lecturers. One of the factors that can affect work-family balance is workplace well-being. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of workplace well-being towards the work-family balance on female lecturers at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. This study used a quantitative approach with the regression method. The research instrument used was the work-family balance scale based on the theory of Greenhaus, Collins, and Shaw (2003) and the workplace well-being scale based on the theory of Paschoal and Tamayo (2008). The population in this study was 186 female lecturers with a research sample of 121 people selected based on a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis used a simple linear regression technique which showed the value of R = 0.392 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05). This indicates that there is a very significant positive effect between workplace well-being on work-family balance of female lecturers at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh

Abstract

Psychological well-being is one of the most important things in human life, especially for students working part-time during COVID-19. One of the factors that can affect psychological well-being is patience. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between patience and psychological well-being in UIN Ar-Raniry students working part-time during COVID-19. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach. The measuring tools in this study are the patience scale from Subandi (2011) and the psychological well-being scale from Ryff and Singer (2008). . The sample in this study were 211 people. Sampling using non-probability sampling method with accidental sampling technique. The results of this study show a correlation coefficient of r = 0.839 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) which indicates that there is a very significant positive relationship between patience and psychological well-being in UIN Ar-Raniry students working part-time during covid-19. This means that the higher the patience, the higher the psychological well-being felt by students and the lower the patience, the lower the psychological well-being felt by the students.
