Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dekonstruksi dalam novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa karya Hanum Salsabiela Rais dan Rangga Almahendra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan dekonstruksi. Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumen dengan sumber data novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa karya Hanum Salsabiela Rais dan Rangga Almahendra. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode membaca novel dan mencatat bagian dekonstruksi. Teknik analisis data meliputi beberapa langkah yaitu; menetapkan tujuan penelitian, merumuskan temuan data, mentabulasi dan pemberian koding, interpetasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data dengan menggunakan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya dekonstruksi yang menggambarkan Islam pernah berjaya dan memiliki pengaruh di Eropa. Hal itu tergambarkan dalam cerita perjalanan Hanum Salsabiela Rais dan Rangga Almahendra menyusuri kota-kota yang pernah menjadi saksi Islam pernah berjaya dan memiliki pengaruh tidak saja dalam karya seni tetapi juga pada pemikiran orang-orang yang berpengaruh di Eropa pada saat itu.Kata kunci: novel, 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa,, dekonstruksi  The research aimed to describe deconstruction in the 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa novel by Hanum Salsabiela Rais dan Rangga Almahendra. This study uses a content analysis method with a deconstruction approach. Data collection techniques using document studies with data sources from the 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa novel by Hanum Salsabiela Rais dan Rangga Almahendra. The data were collected by reading the novel method and noting the deconstruction part. The data analysis technique includes several steps, namely; setting research objectives, formulating data findings, tabulating and providing coding, interpretation, and concluding. Data validity test used member check. The results showed that there was a deconstruction that depicts Islam once triumphant and had influence in Europe. This is illustrated in the story of Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra's journey through cities that have witnessed Islam's triumph and had an influence not only in works of art but also on the thoughts of influential people in Europe at that time.Keywords: novels, 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa, deconstruction

Abstract

Kebijakan Belajar Dari Rumah (BDR) yang dikeluarkan Kemendikbud menuntut guru dan siswa untuk tetap melakukan kegiatan belajar dan mengajar meskipun tidak tatap muka. Guru dituntut untuk lebih kreatif, inovatif, dan menjalin komunikasi yang baik dengan siswa dan orang tua siswa. Google Classroom adalah salah satu aplikasi yang mudah diakses bagi guru, siswa dan orang tua. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) berjudul “Google Classroom Sebagai Sarana Pendukung Pembelajaran” yang dilaksanakan di TK ‘Aisyiyah 86 pada 4 Agustus 2020 diharapkan dapat membantu guru dalam memberikan pelajaran, mengorganisir tugas dan mengakumulasi nilai. Selain itu diharapkan orang tua membantu siswa untuk dapat disiplin dalam mengumpulkan tugas.

Abstract

Menulis karya ilmiah merupakan salah satu hal yang wajib dilakukan baik bagi kepala sekolah maupun guru. Penulisan karya ilmiah didasari oleh pemahaman konseptual tentang cara berpikir sesuai dengan etika dan kaidah ilmiah. Tujuan diadakannya pelatihan ini adalah untuk membantu kepala sekolah dan guru sekolah luar biasa menuliskan ide/gagasan ke dalam karya ilmiah. Pelatihan ini dikuti oleh 18 peserta; 6 peserta kepala sekolah dan 12 peserta guru. Metode yang digunakan antara lain: (1) pemberian materi tentang karya ilmiah mengenai teori dan contoh-contoh dengan metode ceramah, (2) penugasan kepada peserta untuk menulis karya ilmiah, serta (3) bimbingan dan diskusi mengenai karya ilmiah dengan narasumber. Hasil dari kegiatan ini seluruh peserta bersemangat dan termotivasi untuk mengikuti kegiatan ini. Seluruh peserta mencoba untuk menuangkan ide dalam bentuk tulisan karya ilmiah. 6 peserta dari 18 peserta atau 33% peserta yang hadir dapat menulis karya ilmiah dengan baik. Karya ilmiah tersebut dapat dipublikasikan dan diikutsertakan dalam lomba salah satunya lomba guru dan kepala sekolah berprestasi tingkat nasional.

Abstract

This research is about Corpus Linguistics, Language Corpora, And Language Teaching. As we know about this science is relatively new and is associated with technology. There are several areas discussed in this study such as several important parts of the corpus, the information generated in the corpus, four main characteristics of the corpus, Types of Corpora, Corpora in Language Teaching, several types that could be related to corpus research, Applications of corpus linguistics to language teaching may be direct or indirect. The field of applied linguistics analyses large collections of written and spoken texts, which have been carefully designed to represent specific domains of language use, such as informal speech or academic writing.

Abstract

The government's policy for students to study from home during the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major adjustment impact for students, teachers and parents. Closer collaboration is needed to support the achievement of learning targets. The selection of the right learning method also has an important role in making it easier for students to absorb information and helping teachers and parents as facilitators. In teaching English to kindergarten students, Total Physical Response (TPR) is one method that can be applied. TPR was applied to Kindergarten (TK) Aisyiyah 101 students in class. Fifteen students became respondents in this study. Research data were collected from observations, documentation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study were described using a qualitative descriptive method. From the research data, it can be concluded that TPR facilitates students, teachers, and parents in learning English during studying from home or in Indonesian called as Belajar Dari Rumah (BDR). By using TPR, students can learn with pleasure and absorb information quickly. In addition, TPR also makes it easier for parents and teachers to teach English to children.

Abstract

Autonomous English learning grows student’s ability to take responsibility for their own English learning process. The level of student’s awareness of learning English independently is still uneven. Some students’ are ready to learn English independently, whereas others still depend too much on the role of an EFL teacher. Regarding this condition, the study was interested in discovering the secondary school students’ readiness for autonomous English learning in West Java. This study used a quantitative research methodology and a survey as the research tool. Secondary school students from various West Javan schools participated in this study. The data was gathered through a questionnaire. The findings revealed that the students believed that teachers are in charge of almost every aspect of the English learning process. Further, most students are ready enough to learn English independently. Also, students’ have a plan for learning English based on their willingness. The result indicated the teacher had to start applying learning autonomy and encouraging student autonomy in English learning.

Abstract

One of the most popular social media sites among young people is Instagram. With its many features, Instagram can be used as a fun and non-monotonous writing lesson. This study examined the students’ perceptions of using Instagram for their writing skills. In this study, the descriptive quantitative method was used. This study included 150 participants from students’ universities, and questionnaires distributed over WhatsApp were used to collect research data. There were 10 items and the participants were expected to choose the most appropriate option from the 4-level Likert Scale labeled by: Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Agree, and Strongly Agree. According to the study’s findings, Instagram is an effective tool for improving learners’ vocabulary range and grammatical accuracy. Learners also gain better ideas prior to writing tasks and develop their own writing style. If used and supervised properly, Instagram could be an effective pedagogical tool for learning a second language.

Abstract

Since Discord was released to the public in May 2015, gamers have widely used it as an additional team talk application to communicate with their teammates while playing games. However, this program is also utilized as an alternate communication media in English teaching and learning activities because it has a lot of capabilities. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to ascertain how students feel about utilizing Discord as a learning tool to broaden their vocabulary during asynchronous learning. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method. This research consisted of 125 senior high school students from two schools in South Jakarta. Data collection uses a Google Form which is distributed through classes and several class groups. The results of these data are that the use of Discord as an alternative asynchronous learning media can improve vocabulary acceptable because it supports the features of their language use in the application. With this in mind, the use of Discord continues to this day as an alternative learning media for students.
