Abstract

A person's character is very dependent on the environment in which they live and grow into adulthood. This study seeks to reveal one of the indicators of children's character, namely language politeness, especially in the school environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the reality of the condition of language politeness of children to their teachers and schoolmates, to find out the factors that cause language politeness deviations, and to find out the efforts made by schools in dealing with these deviations. This research is a qualitative research that produces descriptive data. Research subjects include teachers and students. The results showed that there were still some children who experienced deviations in language politeness to their teachers and school friends, namely in the form of reluctance to use polite language speech, mutual ridicule/verbal bullying between school friends using the names of parents and the profession of parents, and the unfavorable influence of social media.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the preparation, implementation and evaluation of digital transformation to improve student welfare during the COVID-19 period at Public and Private Middle Schools in Yogyakarta. This research approach uses qualitative data analysis techniques using directed interview techniques, participant observation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the planning used by Public and Private Middle Schools in Yogyakarta in digital transformation improves student welfare, among others by adjusting the curriculum used and using a simple curriculum during the COVID-19 response. The implementation used by Public and Private Middle Schools in Yogyakarta in digital transformation improves student welfare, including by using various internal school LMS (Learning Management System) platforms, ensuring the smooth running of students and presenting student welfare. Evaluations used by Public and Private Middle Schools in Yogyakarta in digital transformation to improve student welfare include: (1) bridging parents regarding child development; (2) make an assessment that can be used as a basis for evaluating children's learning; and (3) provide many opportunities for input into schools so that evaluation makes learning fun.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze organizational psychology's role in managing Islamic boarding schools. This qualitative research identifies organizational psychology's role in Islamic boarding school management by exploring several critical psychological aspects. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data collection techniques are through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was done through data reduction, display, and conclusion. The results of the research are that the role of organizational psychology in the management of the Pesantren Al-Iman Muntilan, namely increasing student motivation and teacher performance, assisting in effective classroom management, increasing student involvement and participation, improving student and teacher welfare, helping leadership effectiveness, conflict management, and effective communication. By applying organizational psychology principles, Islamic boarding schools can improve the quality of the education they offer. This will positively impact students' achievements and the reputation of Islamic boarding schools as superior educational institutions.
