Abstract

The concept of Syariah Bank empowerment of the community's economy through its products such as: Mudharabah, Musyarakah, Murabahah, Kafala, and others, is a banking service that reflects its concern for improving the economy and welfare of the poor. While the weaknesses in the internal field such as inadequate institutional factors, and external factors, such as the readiness of the community to accept the presence of the Syariah Bank, are welcome in the National banking system, provided they are accompanied by high progression. The labeling of "syariah" in a bank is intended as a banking system in accordance with Islamic Law (Syariah) which is rahmatan lil ‘alamin. While the influence of labeling in the context of community economic empowerment is not so significant. Because, there is more needed is the quality of service and ease of access. In addition, the formalization of religion has the potential to be misused by its role to be so particular. In fact, for non-Muslims it is considered a political-economic institution founded on religious sentiments. Thus, the position of Bank Syariah is still ambiguous between community economic empowerment or formalization of religion.

Abstract

Perembus activities have many roles. Starting from serving financial and capital services, fishing partners and companies, agents of socio-economic change, culture-religious and education. There is a unique triangle of relations between the perembus-jhereghen jurung in selling fish catches and the perembus-relationship relation with the provision of facilities and fees, which all have the interest to make large financial gains and seem to shift Islamic values. With a qualitative-ethnographic approach, this study will give birth to a new type of religion in the context of Islam in coastal Madura. Perembus as a company 'intermediary' with fishermen provides a strategic role whose position is parallel even above the social status of the clerics and religious teachers. For the coastal community, the perembus is orèng soghi, 'ruler' and a place to complain for oreng miskèn. Perembus activities in the local coastal ‘urf do not rely on cultural fields, sacred tombs, sacred wells and sacred mosques with the aim of "obtaining blessings", but instead focus on product-reflection in the content of coastal community awareness, especially perembus. Reflection-products grow and develop to form non-socio-cultural material in their activities as an 'intermediary' of the company with fishermen.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study reviews the presence of Fintech in South and Southeast Asian countries through several categories. Background Problems: Many people doubt the presence of Fintech in South Asia and Southeast Asia as part of a developing country with all its limitations, especially Sharia Fintech. Novelty: Developing Sharia Fintech in South Asian and Southeast Asian countries, which have not spread evenly before. Research Methods: Qualitatively using GFD (Global Findex Database) data collected in 2021, which was then elaborated with 115 research studies (50 from Scopus, 24 from Research Gate, 21 from Google Scholars and 20 from other sources). Finding/Results: The presence of Fintech is more likely to develop rapidly in the Southeast Asia region, not so in the South Asian region. The lneeds of each region are different. It is different if developed by Sharia Fintech (I-Fintech/Islamic Financial Technology). Its potential is almost acceptable in all regions, including in countries that are sensitive to religious issues. Conclusion: It is not only Fintech that is the future of cutting-edge banking, but also the presence of I-Fintech (Islamic Financial Technology) which empirically opens up great opportunities and repositions mainstream financial institutions into traditional banking, including Islamic banking. However, the presence of Fintech and I-Fintech still requires the support of local government policies and the wider community, Muslims and non-Muslims in any part of the world.
