Abstract

In communicating, a strategy is needed to maintain the continuity of communication. One strategy that can be done to maintain communication is to reduce the risk of threatening the face of the speaker. In the event of humor, politeness is usually violated by speakers so that it potentially threatens the face of a person. Speech delivery strategy is concerned with how the speaker chooses to achieve the desired goal. The use of politeness as a balancing act of humor is one of the speakers' strategies for the purpose of maintaining the continuity of communication, as is done by the host in the marriage ceremony. In general, the expression of humor can be seen when the phrase has the potential to stimulate the opponent said smile or laugh. The phrase humor can be formed when any or all of the principles of cooperation (PKS) of Grice (1975) are violated. The offense was committed with the intention to convey the implied intent of mocking or insinuating causing humor. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Sources of research data is a speech event of traditional wedding ceremony sunda. The research data is a cutting-edge utterance. In this study, the data is processed by step transcribing the source data research, analyze, and interpret data in the form of speech that contains humor. This research is expected to show the expression of humor can be done by violating the principle of cooperation Grice and speech defense that occurs in the wedding ceremony.

Abstract

The main problem of learning literature in school and college is the lack of experience and weakness of students' ability in literature. The experience and abilities in the literature include experience of appreciation and expression, both oral and written. Meanwhile, theoretically and the demands of the curriculum, appreciation experience and students' ability in expression are the main goals of literary learning. This is a fundamental problem of literary learning, the gap between the expected with the reality that occurred. One of the skills of literary expression is theatre activities, in which the activities are required to appreciate the high story played. Therefore it is necessary to design the learning process of creative in the theatre world from start creation and appreciation of the script to the show. This research will parse the full picture of the model of literary activities in the world of theatre in the sixth semester students who contracted theatre courses in the Department of Language Education and Indonesian Literature at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Untirta through the development method. The output in this research is the product of creative process of theatre in the form of students' work in theatre and long term goal is expected to create qualified human resources in the future.

Abstract

Indonesia terkenal dengan negara yang kaya akan budaya dalam keragaman masyarakatnya. Keragaman budaya sebagai aset kekayaan bangsa Indonesia yang perlu dikenalkan sejak dini pada generasi muda bangsa. Banten sebagai bagian dari salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang memiliki kekayaan budaya, salah satunya melalui sastra-sastra daerah. kehidupan sastra daerah itu masih berkisar pada sastra lisan. Sastra lisan sebagian besar masih tersimpan di dalam ingatan orang tua atau tukang cerita yang jumlahnya semakin berkurang. Sebagai kekayaan sastra, dongeng yang merupakan bagian dari sastra lisan yaitu salah satu unsur kebudayaan yang perlu dikembangkan karena mengandung nilai-nilai budaya, norma-norma dan nilai-nilai etika serta nilai moral masyarakat pendukungnya. Sebagai sastra lisan, dalam dongeng dapat dikatakan rakyatlah yang bercerita, bercerita tentang masyarakatnya, tentang dirinya, pikiran, perasaan, cita-cita, dan harapannya, tentang suara hatinya. Karakter budaya dalam sastra lisan dongeng tersebut dapat diperkenalkan sejak dini melalui pembelajaran sastra. Sekolah Dasar adalah proses awal seorang anak menempuh jalur pendidikan formal, setelah sebelumnya dibentuk karakter di lingkungan keluarganya. sekaitan dengan hal ini, siswa-siswa SD menjadi sasaran utama pembentukan karakter yang perlu dibekali sebagai pedoman penguat karakter hidupnya kelak. Siswa SD cenderung masih menyukai cerita, sehingga dongeng dapat menjembatani proses awal terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa-siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui teori nilai didaktis sastra. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan metode dokumentasi cerita rakyat berbentuk legenda yang terkait dengan penelitian dan hasil observasi terkait cerita sastra lisan di Banten. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu nilai didaktis pada dongeng Batu Kuwung dari daerah Banten dapat menggambarkan masyarakat Banten itu sendiri mulai dari lingkungannya sampai kepada cara pandang dan berperilaku masyarakatnya yang tergambar melalui psikologi tokoh-tokoh cerita di dalamnya. Hal ini dapat menjadi cerminan bagi siswa-siswa dalam membangun karakternya serta mencintai budayanya.
