Abstract

Saat akan bertemu tatap muka dengan seseorang yang belum pernah ditemui, berbagai ketidakpastian dapat muncul dalam benak. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi ketidakpastian adalah melakukan pencarian informasi di media sosial bahkan, media sosial mampu memberikan informasi intim yang sulit diketahui saat pertemuan pertama seperti preferensi politik dan ideologi. Penelitian ini melakukan studi meta-analisis terhadap artikel jurnal yang menggunakan teori yang digagas oleh Charles R. Berger dan Richard J. Calabrese yaitu teori pengurangan ketidakpastian dalam menerapkan strategi pencarian informasi pasif, aktif dan interaktif di era digital. Ada beberapa faktor yang mendasari pencarian informasi di era digital antara lain adalah keamanan dan menghindari salah persepsi. Pencarian informasi di media sosial juga meningkatkan keinginan untuk berkomunikasi dan keterbukaan. Hasilnya ditemukan bahwa sebelum melakukan pertemuan pertama strategi pasif paling banyak dilakukan namun, strategi interaktif paling efektif untuk mengurangi ketidakpastian

Abstract

Product without halal certification still become pro and contra in Indonesia's people whose mostly Muslim. These phenomena cause cognitive dissonance in some of Indonesia's people consumer behavior. This dissonance happens because there are values and culture that influence the consumer behavior on products without halal certification buying process. With those phenomena, this research examines the dissonance process of buying the products without halal certification. The research method used is the literature review, using secondary data from scientific journals, books, and media articles. The result of this research shows that some of Indonesia's Muslims being worried if there's no halal certification because there is some difference in value & culture with the product.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication accommodation strategy in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic which occurred in teaching and learning activities in English at the elementary, junior high, senior high school and vocational school levels in Jakarta and also to determine the obstacles in communication accommodation strategies in the learning process. This study uses an exploratory method with Communication Accommodation Theory as a reference for data analysis used to discuss the possibility of a new phenomenon that has not been found in previous research and to examine phenomena in the context of real life. The results showed that the convergence strategy in communication accommodation in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic was mostly carried out by English teachers at the SD, SMP, SMA, and SMK levels. This is to show that the teaching and learning delivery process is easier for students to understand and accept during online learning. In addition, based on the results of the interview, the researcher found that there were obstacles and impacts that were felt in the teaching and learning process taking place. Students tend to be passive compared to face-to-face learning.

Abstract

This paper examines how standpoint theory is used in various research studies based on communication theory. The standpoint theory proposed by Sandra Harding focuses on how the marginalized power, which is no greater than the dominant, is placed in society. This theory clarifies the point of view that differences in equality between people can be presents in gender, sexual orientation, race, or ethnicity. Scientific writing uses a qualitative approach with the use of literature review methods, the methods which focuses on previous research in the past five years (starting from 2021).
