Abstract

The ability to diversify the business for cooperatives according to the needs of members is a challenge. The goals of this research is to analyze knowledge management, innovation capability as a resource to build cooperative performance. The research method uses a quantitative approach to test the research hypothesis with data obtained through a survey of 230 cooperatives in Jakarta. The unit of observation is the employees and the members of the cooperative. Data analysis using SEM (structuration equation modeling). The results of the study confirm the importance of knowledge management and innovation capability to build performance. Transfer of knowledge to encourage innovation capability as one of the keys in knowledge management that leads cooperatives to sustainable performance. The theoretical implication is the development of the concept of a knowledge-sharing culture in a knowledge management system to realize performance. For cooperative managers, it is the development of knowledge management as a sustainable system and a culture of sharing to build superior cooperative performance. The research contribution is the development of the concept of knowledge as a resource to build performance excellence based on a sustainable perspective (RBV).

Abstract

Leadership in Islamic boarding schools is the leadership of caregivers or called cleric or master teachers. Leadership in developing entrepreneurship is also in the clergy. This study aims to interpret the role of cleric leadership in the development of entrepreneurship in Islamic boarding schools. This research uses a case study at the Sidogiri Islamic boarding school, Pasuruan. The unit of analysis of the research is ulama, teacher or cleric, business unit management, santri, community members of Islamic boarding school cooperatives. Data collection methods used in-depth interviews, participatory observation and content analysis of documentation. This research design uses a qualitative design with a case study model. Data analysis and data validity testing used triangulation techniques, namely source triangulation, method triangulation and time triangulation. The findings of this study indicate that Kiai's leadership plays an important role in the development of pesantren entrepreneurship. Kiai's important roles are (1) initiating, (2) facilitating, (3) mobilizing teachers, santri, and wali santi, and (4) mobilizing alumni to become investors in the pesantren business unit. Kiai also play a role in collaborating with other parties and the surrounding community.

Abstract

The application of business management systems and cooperative organizations faces the challenges of the development of business dynamics due to the development of science and technology. The use of information technology in all business actors is a form of adaptation to anticipate business development that aims to increase competitiveness and win competition. Cooperative is a business that still has obstacles in optimizing the use of IT to manage businesses in providing services to members. Therefore, through the use of the cooperative organization's business identification methods, the analysis of the guidelines for the use of cooperative online systems, training and outreach, and evaluating the implementation of activities. In this case, the community service activities can provide results that have an impact on optimizing the online cooperative system in improving services and incomes of members and cooperatives.

Abstract

The success of the Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School in building a financial business network has been recognized nationally. Sidogiri is a boarding school with the largest business unit in Indonesia. This study aims to interpret the business spirit of Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a case study research design at the Sidogiri Islamic boarding school, Pasuruan. The unit of analysis for this research is the kyai as caregivers, teachers or ustadz, business unit administrators, students, alumni, and the community. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, analysis of financial statements, and analysis of documentation. Qualitative research design with a case study model. Data analysis and data validity testing used source triangulation, method triangulation, and time triangulation techniques. The findings of this study indicate that (1) the spirit of financial institutions is the religious spirit to leave the business that contains usury, (2) the business education carried out by the Sidogiri Islamic boarding school uses a programmed curriculum in madrasah dinniyah (3) an integrated education curriculum between theory, practice, internship, assignment curriculum to manage financial business units (4) business education is given to students at the senior level madrasah dinniyah with fan mu'amalah (5) students who graduate are given the task of managing financial business units (6) the boarding school together with alumni create business unit branches, and (7 ) business unit management is left to alumni.
