Abstract

So that online learning can run well, teachers are expected to be able to take advantage of technology in their learning. One of the uses of technology is using learning application media. At SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru, they have used the Google Meet application, Google Classroom, and Whatsapp in the online learning process. From several observations in the field, SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru teachers are more likely to use the Google Meet application in online learning. The Google Meet application is considered to be easier and more effective in delivering learning material. This study aims to describe the perceptions of students and teachers and the process of using the Google Meet application in online learning at these schools. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive-analysis approach. Based on field research, it is known that the Google Meet application is classified as more effective than other learning application media. The use of Google Meet which is of interest to students and teachers certainly supports the implementation of effective online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the process of implementation of Limited Face-to-Face Learning (PTM) during the Covid-19 Pandemic and the obstacles faced and efforts made in the smooth implementation of limited face-to-face learning at SMA N 1 Kubu, Riau, Indonesia. The research method used is a descriptive-qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation and interview activities that do not provide treatment, manipulation or changes in the variables studied. The results of this study showed that the application of limited face-to-face learning still follows the standards of health protocols, during learning has carried out 3M, namely wearing a mask before entering the classroom, washing hands using soap and running water and entering the classroom regularly and maintaining distance. Also implement learning strategies that include practice, discussion, reflection and feedback so as to make learning work effectively.

Abstract

In Indonesia's historical records, it was explained that pandemic events related to infectious diseases did not only occur in the Covid-19 era but also occurred in the past. An insight into the history of this pandemic supposed to be owned by the historical student so that it can be used as educational material and build a spirit of optimism that the Indonesian nation is a strong and warrior nation, continue to be able to escape from the pandemic and rise again to organize the future. This research uses a qualitative method with an analysis-descriptive approach. This study seeks to describe the historical insights of the pandemic possessed by history students at the University of Riau and analyzing its relationship in improving the students’ character during this pandemic. Based on the current situation, students really need to develop a good character about how to behave well towards others and themselves and respond well to the pandemic that is happening. Dalam catatan sejarah Indonesia dijelaskan bahwa peristiwa pandemi terkait penyakit menular tidak hanya terjadi pada era Covid-19 tetapi juga terjadi di masa lalu. Wawasan sejarah pandemi ini hendaknya dimiliki oleh para mahasiswa sejarah agar dapat dijadikan sebagai materi pendidikan dan membangun semangat optimisme bahwa bangsa Indonesia adalah bangsa yang tangguh dan pejuang, terus dapat lepas dari keterpurukan wabah pandemi dan bangkit kembali untuk mengatur masa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analisis. Penelitian ini berupaya mendeskripsikan wawasan historis pandemi yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa sejarah Universitas Riau dan menganalisis hubungannya dalam meningkatkan karakter mahasiswa selama pandemi ini. Berdasarkan situasi pandemi saat ini, mahasiswa sangat perlu mengembangkan karakter tentang bagaimana berperilaku baik dan positif terhadap orang lain dan dirinya sendiri serta merespon dengan baik pandemi yang sedang terjadi.
