Abstract

The problem of this research was the student’s low social interaction. The problem of this research was whether group counseling service can improve social interaction in grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Natar Lampung Selatan. The purpose of this study was to know that group guidance can be used to increase the student’s low social interaction in grade VIII students in SMP Negeri 4 Natar Lampung Selatan Academic Year 2016/2017. This research method was Quasi experimental with one group pretest-posttest design, and analyzed by using Wilcoxon test. The research subjects were 12 students of grade VIII in SMP Negeri 4 Natar Lampung Selatan who had low social interaction. The results showed that students' social interaction was improved after the provision of group guidance services. This was shown from the results of pretest and posttest test obtained Z output = -3.06 and Z table =1.645. Because Z output Z table then, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The conclusion of this research was group guidance service can be used to increase student’s social interaction in grade VIII in SMP Negeri 4 Natar, South Lampung academic year 2016/2017.Masalah penelitian ini adalah interaksi sosial siswa rendah. Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah apakah layanan bimbingan kelompok dapat meningkatkan interaksi sosial pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Natar Lampung Selatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahwa bimbingan kelompok dapat  dipergunakan untuk meningkatkan interaksi sosial yang rendah  pada siswa  kelas  VIII  di  SMP  Negeri  4  Natar  Lampung  Selatan  Tahun  Ajaran  2016/2017.  Metode penelitian ini bersifat   Quasi experimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest, dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Subyek penelitian 12 orang siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Natar Lampung Selatan yang memiliki interaksi sosial rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah pemberian layanan bimbingan kelompok. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil uji pretest dan posttest yang diperoleh Zhitung  = -3,06 dan Ztabel  =1,645. Karena Zhitung  Ztabel  maka, Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah layanan bimbingan kelompok dapat dipergunakan untuk meningkatkan interaksi sosial pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Natar, Lampung Selatan Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017.Kata kunci: bimbingan dan konseling, interaksi social, layanan bimbingan kelompok

Abstract

ABSTRACT Performance is the work quality and quantity achieved by a person in carrying out his duties in accordance with the responsibilities given to him. Some elements that are often used in assessing teacher performance are mastery of subject matter, ability to manage classes and the ability of teachers to increase student learning interest. This study aims at determining the effect of personality competency and work motivation partially and simultaneously on performance of teachers in SMA Negeri 8 Medan. The population in this study is all teachers who taught at SMA Negeri 8 Medan, with a total of 41 teachers. The entire population of 41 people was taken as a sample. Data collection techniques in this study are questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies. While the data analysis technique used is the classic assumption test, multiple regression, t test, F test and coefficient of determination. The results show partially the personality competency of teachers had a positive and significant effect on the teacher performance of SMA Negeri 8 Medan. The better the teacher's personal competence, the better the teacher's performance will be. Partially the work motivation of the teacher has a positive and significant effect on the teacher performance of SMA Negeri 8 Medan. The higher the teacher's work motivation, the better the teacher's performance will be. Simultaneously personality competency and work motivation of teachers have a significant effect on teacher performance in SMA Negeri 8 Medan The coefficient of determination shows that 90,20% variation in teacher performance can be explained by personality competency and teacher's work motivation simultaneously, while the remaining 9.80% is explained by other factors, such as education and work discipline
