In daily life, we need language to express our feeling. One of the language usages can be seen through the advertisement. The advertiser persuades the customers to use the product in many ways; one of them is through language. Language in television advertisement plays the important role to reach the goal of advertisement. Since we know that the viewers of television in Indonesia is about more than 128 million, we can imagine how strong the influence of television commercial is. To catch the viewer’s attention, the advertiser sometimes used some strategies. It is good if they use the polite language, but if they use the impolite language, it gives the bad impact to the viewer. In this thesis, the writer does not want to analyse the bad impact of language advertisement, but she prefers to analyse the kinds of politeness principles that are violated by the advertisements especially cellular phone provider. The purposes of this thesis are to find out what kind of politeness principles that are violated by the advertisement and to find out what is the intention of violating such principles. The writer classifies the violation through the six maxims of politeness principles by Leech (1983). In collecting the data, the writer used documentation method and non-participant observation. The population of this research are all the cellular phone provider advertisements in Indonesia, but the samples are chosen purposively, only the advertisements that violate the politeness principle that become the data of this research. In analysing the data, the writer uses the politeness principles theory proposed by Leech as the instrument of research, to classify the advertisement according to the maxim they violate. The writer also relates the violation with the ethic regulation of politeness principles proposed by Dewan Periklanan Indonesia. After analysing the kinds of maxim, the writer extends to the intention of violating through the explicature and implicature meaning. In this research, the writer found 12 advertisements that violated the politeness principles. The violations occur in six maxims of politeness principles, such as tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim and sympathy maxim. Most of advertisements that violate the politeness principles also violate the ethic regulation of advertisement. Then, the general intentions of those violations were to attract the viewer’s attention to use their product. The presence of women migrants in urban industrial workers proved that women's movement exists. This migration process not only indicates that women are actively involved in economic activity, but also influences the decision-making on important activities within the family and society. This study aims to determine the relationship between mobility patterns and its contribution to economic and decision-making in the family through the survey as research methods. The data were analysed by descriptive analysis, statistics approach, and correlation maps. For the independence test in the bivariate table, we used the chi square method, and to display the distribution of two variables simultaneously, a cross-tabulation was used. After that, to assess whether there is a relationship between the two variables, the table of independence was used. Our study shows that decision-making became an indicator of strengthening the role of women with a pattern of circular migration, which has a relationship on economic contribution. However, the behavior of women who perform the spatial migration in strengthening roles in families is not always relevant with the strengthening role of the economy. A strong role is only demonstrated by industrial migrant workers working on a circular migration pattern.

Afsluitdijk adalah tanggul laut terbesar yang dibangun oleh pemerintah untuk mengatasi masalah banjir di Belanda. Pembangunan Afsluitdijk menyebabkan beberapa perubahan pada lingkungan dan komunitas pesisir di sekitarnya, salah satunya adalah komunitas nelayan di Urk, Provinsi Flevoland, Belanda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perubahan kegiatan penangkapan ikan setelah pembangunan Afsluitdijk. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Urk, Provinsi Flevoland, Belanda pada Mei - Juni 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan lingkungan akuatik yang awalnya merupakan air asin menjadi air tawar. Terdapat beberapa nelayan yang masih bertahan hidup untuk menangkap ikan di perairan sekitar Urk dan Harlingen setelah pembangunan, tetapi ada juga yang beralih profesi dan pindah ke daerah lain di Belanda. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perubahan pada kondisi lingkungan perairan dan ekonomi nelayan, serta nelayan harus beradaptasi dengan kondisi baru setelah pembangunan Afsluitdijk.

The purpose of this study was to analyze and explain the University of Lampung PPKn Study Program Student's Perception of Pre-service Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG). The method used is descriptive quantitative approach. The number of samples is 30 respondents. The main techniques of data collection using a questionnaire and supporting techniques are interviews and documentation. The results showed: The University of Lampung PPKn Study Program Student's Perception of Pre-service Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) is good, where the PPG Pre-service Program can improve teacher professionalism so that they can carry out their duties as professional educators.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan Persepsi Mahasiswa Program Studi PPKn Universitas Lampung terhadap Program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Prajabatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel 30 responden. Teknik pokok pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan teknik penunjang adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Persepsi Mahasiswa Program Studi PPKn Universitas Lampung terhadap Program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Prajabatan adalah baik, di mana Program PPG Prajabatan tersebut dapat meningkatkan profesionalisme guru sehingga dapat mengemban tugas sebagai pendidik yang profesional.Kata kunci: mahasiswa, profesi guru.
