Abstract

Mathematical literacy requires individuals to solve a problem and also apply mathematics in everyday problems, which results in the ability to interpret solutions to those problems. In PISA it is known that Indonesia's mathematics literacy score is among the lowest, as well as in Guguk District Lima Puluh Kota Regency. One way to overcome this is to start introducing literacy to students early on. The introduction of literacy must be instilled in students since they are still in elementary school. Based on this, a training program and workshop was held regarding the application of mathematical literacy in mathematics learning in elementary schools in Guguak District with elementary school mathematics teacher partners who are members of the KKG SD Gugus III Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota.

Abstract

Padang adalah salah satu kota yang rentan terhadap tsunami, akan tetapi masyarakat yang tinggal/ bekerja di tepi pantai sangat ramai sehingga evakuasi secara horizontal tak mungkin dilakukan. Karena itu, dalam penelitian ini evakuasi dilakukan secara vertikal. Untuk menentukan jalur evakuasi tsunami terpendek di Kota Padang dalam tulisan ini digunakan Algoritma Djikstra. Dalam Algoritma Djikstra penentuan jalur terpendek dapat dicari untuk semua pasangan simpul. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian terapan yang dimulai dengan mempelajari dan menganalisis teori-teori yang relevan dengan masalah, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengambilan data. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengubah peta yang diunduh dari Google Map menjadi graf berbobot, kemudian graf tersebut diubah menjadi matriks ketetanggaan dan diproses menggunakan Algoritma Djikstra. Hasil pemrosesan aplikasi menggunakan Algoritma Djikstra memperoleh jalur evakuasi tsunami terpendek yang dapat dilewati ke tempat penampungan terdekat berdasarkan posisi pengguna perangkat android.

Abstract

Industrial revolution 4.0 in which digital technology being more integrated in all aspects of human life will demand the new reform of education world. Not only can it affect the curriculum being taught, but it will also lead to the changes of the methods and approaches in conducting the lesson. One of the changes is the use of digital learning. Universitas Negeri Padang has regulation of conducting lesson through e-learning platform proportionally for all courses, including the course of Ordinary Differential Equation. Ordinary Differential Equation is a mandatory course that should be taken by mathematics department’s students. In order to support students to develop their under standing about the concept and its application while using digital learning method, the researchers develop some tutorial video as supplementary media. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the practicality of the tutorial video. This is a descriptive research where the data were collected using closed questionnaire. The respondents were 39 mathematics students of Universitas Negeri Padang who joined Ordinary Differential Equation Course in the semester of January-June 2020. The result indicates that the video tutorials used in the course are in the category of very practice with the score percentage 86,6%.

Abstract

The most essential thing in mathematics is proof, it makes mathematics being different with other subjects. One of subject in mathematics that always need prove to understand the concept is abstract algebra. In studying abstract algebra, student need various abstract concepts to include in its concepts. It is hard for student to understand the structures in abstract algebra and prove some of mathematical object that satisfy the structures. Group and its properties is the first structure in abstract algebra that has an abstract concept. It is hard for student to understand some objects, that is proven satisfy a structure and why the proof steps just flow. By giving explanation and reason in every proofing step, we try to increase student proving level and reduce the abstraction level of the concepts. To see how this module reduces the abstraction level in teaching group, this module is applied to university students and evaluated by interviewing and questionnaires to the students. Base on student response and by some perspectives, student proving ability increase and the abstraction level of the concept is diminished in some aspects.

Abstract

Abstract — The high traffic density on roads in Padang has resulted in the accumulation of vehicles at intersections, especially the DPRD and the president intersection. Optimal traffic light settings are needed to reduce vehicle buildup at these intersections. Optimization is done by applying a graph coloring application. This optimization is seen from increasing the duration of green lights and decreasing the duration of red lights based on traffic density and road width. This study aims to determine the optimal traffic light settings at the DPRD intersection and the President's intersection of the city of Padang by using Graph Coloring.. This research is applied research,and data used are primary data obtained from direct observation. The completion of traffic light settings using graph coloring provides an alternative solution for the duration of the lights that is more effective than the data obtained from the observations. The results obtained are more optimal based on the level of effectiveness where the duration of the red light for the DPRD intersection and the president's intersection decreased by 9,27% and 39,02%, while the duration of the green light increased by 30,8% and 239,6%.Keywords — Coloring Graph, Weighted graph, Welch-Powell, Traffic Light.

Abstract

Abstract– The main problem in the distribution of stuff to consumers is the optimization of costs and shipping routes. PT. Amanah Insanillahia is a bottled mineral water company that distributes its products to every sub-district in Tanah Datar district. However, this company has not yet optimized its distribution cost. To do this optimization requires a transportation method to minimize costs and routes, namely the Saving Matrix method. The Saving Matrix method aims to determine the product distribution route to the marketing area by determining the distribution route that must be traversed and the number of vehicles based on the capacity of the vehicle in order to obtain the shortest route and minimum transportation costs.  The results of the transportation costs of distributing stuff at PT. Amanah Insanillahia by using this method can reduce costs by 35.11% with the optimum distribution route of stuff, namely the first route delivers of stuff carried out, namely Pariangan and Batipuh Districts. The second route is the Sungayang and Rambatan Districts. The third route is Limo Kaum and Lintau Districts. The fourth route is Salimpaung and Sungai Tarab District. Finally the fifth route is Tanjung Emas District. Keywords– Saving Matrix, distribution of stuff

Abstract

Abstract– Rainfall is one of the natural phenomena that always changes from one condition to another. If rainfall occurs with high intensity, it can result in natural disasters. One area in West Sumatra that receives high-intensity rainfall is Padang. In this research the Markov chain method is used to determine the results of rainfall analysis for the future. This study is an applied research using secondary data, namely dasarian rainfall data obtained from BMKG Padang Pariaman. For the future it is predicted that areas that have rainfall tend to be high (Water Plan Semen Padang), areas that have rainfall tend to be medium (Bandar Buat, Limau Manih-UNAND, Lubuk Minturun, Muara Palam-Parak Karakah, Nanggalo, Tambang Semen Padang, dan Teluk Bayur) and the probability for rainfall that falls for Padang tends to be medium. Keywords– Markov Chain, Matrix Transition Probability, Rainfall.

Abstract

Abstract — Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by an infestation of the Sarcoptes Scabie mite which can spread quickly. This disease is spread in tropical areas where the level of hygiene, sanitation, and socio-economy is low and attacks all groups regardless of sex and age. The purpose of this research is to form a mathematical model, then the model is analyzed and interpreted. Based on the asumi and parameter values, a mathematical model of the spread of scabies in animal and human populations can be formed. The model that has been formed will then be analyzed using simulation. From the analysis obtained two points of equilibrium, which disease free and disease endemic. The simulation results show that scabies disease will continue to exist in the population because the equilibrium point at the endemic disease is unstable.Keywords— endemic, mathematical model, scabies, basic reproduction number.

Abstract

An investment choice is a dividend policy. Either the company's gains will be given to shareholders as dividends, or they will be maintained as earnings to finance future investments. The dividend payout ratio and dividend yield are the dividend policy indicators utilised in this study. This study seeks to examine the impact of dividend payout ratio (DPR) and dividend yield on the stock prices of LQ-45 businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Multiple linear regression analysis is employed. The results indicated that the dividend payout ratio and dividend yield had no effect on the stock prices of the LQ-45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. According to multiple linear regression analysis results, obtained sig value (0.606) > α (0.05).

Abstract

TEMASEK is a company from Singapore. Based on research initiated by TEMASEKand Google  in  2015,internet  users  in  Indonesia  reached  92  million.  18  million  of  them  are  e-commerce connoisseurs and it is predicted that by 2025 there will be 119 million onIineshoppers in Indonesia. This increase will push the e-commerce market value to reach 81billionin 2025. This has resulted in many  e-commerce  popping  up  in  Indonesia,  the  top  two  being  Tokopedia  and  Shopee.  Therefore, managers are required to determine what strategies will hook consumers. Game theory is used to find the optimaIstrategy  for each pIayer.The  purpose  of study  is to find the optimaIvaIue  of the  game.This   study   uses   5   marketing   strategies,   namely   promotion/advertising,   completeness,   service, payment, and price. The population in this study is Mathematics Students from January to June 2021, the  sample  of  this  research  is  Mathematics  students  at  Padang  State  University  who  have  used Tokopedia  and  Shopee.There  are  two  methods  of  solving,  namely  using  a  pure  strategy  or  a  mixed strategy.In  this  case,  the  settlement  uses  a  pure  strategy  and  theoptimaI  vaIue  of  the  game  is  0,04 where Tokopedia comes out as the winner with a maximum profit that will be obtained which is 4% if using  a  price  strategy,  while  Shopee  will  minimize  losses  with  its  strategy,  namely  a  more  diverse payment strategy
