Abstract

  Abstract: Main purpose of this research was to indentify factors influencing science literacy of 15-years-olds students. The subjects of the research were 5330 students enrolled in SMP, 926 students in MTs, 2638 students in SMA, 240 students in MA, and 1513 students in SMK. The main focus of PISA 2006 was science. The PISA 2006 survey also sought information on students’ attitudes to science. Each participating student spent two hours carrying out pencil-and-paper tasks. Students also answered a questionnaire that took about 30 minutes to complete and focused on their personal background, their learning habits and their attitudes to science, as well as on their engagement and motivation. There were 15 indicators extracted from the questionnaire and 5 plausible scores from PISA science assessment. Students’ responses from the questionnaire and assessment were tested using Structural Equation Modeling. Variables latent confirmed were students’ background, students’ attitudes to science, learning/teaching strategies, useful for science career, time for learning science, and science performance. Students’ science literacy is influenced by students’ attitudes to science and their background. Science literacy correlated negatively with  problem based learning, using phenomena to illustrate science topics, and lab enquiry. However, science literacy correlated positively with peer teaching and modeling strategies.

Abstract

Mesin oven untuk UKM saat ini masih menggunakan teknologi yang opresionalnya secara manual. Agar lebih efisien maka dan merupakan tuntutan dari era Industri 4.0 maka diperlukan penggunaan teknologi untuk mesin-mesin yang digunakan oleh UKM di Indonesia. Tujuan dari peelitian ini adalah merancang bangun mesin oven pengering cerdas berbasis internet of things (IoT) ini, sumber energi panasnya didesain bisa menggunakan panas dari kompor LPG, minyak tanah, kayu bakar, maupun batubara briket. Selanjutnya panas dialirkan melalui pipa besi yang berfungsi sebagai jalur  keluarnya asap ke cerobong pembuangan dan juga berfungsi penyimpan energi panas, sehingga terjadi proses perpindahan panas dari pipa penyimpan panas ke udara di ruangan tersebut. Udara dalam ruangan tersebut akan terkondisikan. Sistem Internet of Things (IoT) berfungsi sebagai pemantauan (monitoring) proses pengeringan berjalan dengan baik. Berdasarkan eksperimen yang telah dilakukan sistem telah dapat bekerja dengan baik melalui offline dan online. Sistem kontrol dapat bekerja dengan menggunakan sistem arduino maupun melalui online dengan berbasis IoT. Setelah dilakukan pengujian dengan memberikan perlakuan suhu yang berbeda-beda menunjukkan sistem bekerja dengan baik.

Abstract

There is currently an imbalance between the skills mastered by vocational high school graduates with the skills needed in the labor market, especially employability skills, to maintain a job in various conditions and job requirements. This study aimed to examine the factors that affecting the employability skills of Beauty students namely career guidance, fieldwork practices, emotional intelligence, and self-efficacy. The respondents consisted of 254 students in Beauty Expertise Program at Gerbang Kertosusila. The instruments used in this study were questionnaire with a Likert scale and the statistical method using structural equation modeling (SEM). This study found no significant effect of career guidance, fieldwork practice, emotional intelligence, and self-efficacy on employability skills among Beauty students. The study also showed that career guidance and emotional intelligence have no significant effect on self-efficacy. However, fieldwork practice has a significant effect on the self-efficacy of Beauty students.

Abstract

Method is a comprehensive plan to provide language learning materials on a regular basis, with no contradictory part, and all are based on a particular approach. The purpose of this study is to improve the Aeronautical Knowledge of Vocational Education Cadets in the Official Aviation School. The object chosen in this study is the Vocational Education Cadets of Official Aviation School. Based on the results of this study, it is proven that the direct learning model is able to increase Aeronautical Knowledge, which is indicated by the improvement of cadets’ achievement.
