Abstract

The observation was conducted to study the yolk absorption activity andmorphological development on the initial state of senggaringan (catfish) fishlarvae. Larvae used for this research were from the artificial spawning ofbroodstock, reared in fiber tank. The result showed that newly hatched larvae has3.02 mm ±0.14 total length and 1.1202 mm3 yolk volume. During yolk absorptionperiod, organogenesis development and length added also occurred. Larvaedevelopment occurred after hacthing involved the eye spot (23 hours, 1 minute),mouth opening (25 hours, 21 minutes) and pigmentation (50 hours, 5 minutes),.Organogenesis development and the total length increment improve, following theincrease of yolk absorption rate.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this studied to determine the effect of feeding raw flour made from fermented cassava leaves (Manihot utilissima) on the growth and food convertion ratio and its substitution percentage of feed in providing the best growth of Tilapia fish (Oreochromis sp.). An experimental method used a completely randomized design applying 5 treatments in quadruplicates. The treatments were different percentages of fish meal and cassava leaf in feed rations i.e. P1: 100% and 0%, P2: 75% and 25%, P3: 50% and 50%, P4: 25% and 75%, P5: 0% and 100%. The main parameters were absolute growth, specific growth, daily growth, feed efficiency. Water qualit y parameters were temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen. Fermented cassava leaf flour (Manihot utilissima) in different percentages affected absolute growth rate, specific growth rate. However, feed convertion rate (FCR) of Tilapia fish (Oreochromis sp.) were not affected. Fermented cassava leaf flour at 25% enabled to provide the best growth and food convertion rate (FCR). Water quality parameters were in optimal conditions for Tilapia fish (Oreochromis sp.) fry. Keywords : growth; feed efficiency; Tilapia fish

Abstract

The thyroxine hormone is a hormone that can reduce high mortality and increase fish growth. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of long immersion time in the thyroxine hormone solution and a good time to increase hatching rate, growth and survival rate of Gourami larvae. The method used was a laboratory experiment with a completely randomized design. Treatment of egg immersion time in thyroxine hormone solution with a dose of 0.1 mg / L, namely 0, 8, 16, 24 and 32 hours. Each treatment was carried out three replications. The results of the study indicated that the immersion time did not affect hatching rate, but it did affect the length growth and survival of gourami larvae (O. gouramy). The good immersion time is 16-24 hours with hatching rate values 97.67-99.00%, absolute length growth of 6.50-6.92 mm, relative length growth of 4.93-5.25%, and survival rate of 91.26-92.15%.

Abstract

Abstract Freshwater crayfish is one of the commodities with high economic value in national and international markets. As a commodity that is in great demand, special handling is needed so that lobsters reach consumers alive and well. Stunning is one of the keys to the distribution of crayfish. Durian leaves are natural ingredients that can be used as anesthetics because they contain saponin compounds. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and good concentration of using durian leaf infusion on the length of time to faint, time to awaken, and survival rate. The method used in this study was a completely randomized design experimental method, which consisted of four treatments (infusion concentration of durian leaves 100 g/L water, 150 g/L water, 200 g/L water and 250 g/L water) and four replications. . The best concentration of durian leaf infusion as an anesthetic for lobster is 250 g/L of water. This concentration resulted in a fainting time of 7 minutes-38 seconds, a wake time of 3 minutes-2 seconds and a survival rate of 83.30%.Key words : freshwater lobster; anesthesia; infusion; durian leaves; inductive; sedative

Abstract

Milkfish (Chanos chanos) is a leading fish commodity in Brebes Regency. The sustainable development of milkfish requires a supportive business ecosystem. The purpose of this study was to determine the business ecosystem of milkfish enlargement business in Grinting Village, Bulakamba District, Brebes Regency. Research data collection was carried out in March-April 2022 in Grinting Village, Bulakamba District, Brebes Regency. This research method uses an active survey with purposive sampling. Business ecosystem data is obtained directly through interviews with groups of fish farmers using a questionnaire. The results of the business process analysis show that the supply of milkfish nener in Grinting village comes from Bali. There is 1 member of the group who specializes in nursing efforts to ensure the supply of nener for rearing. The cultivation process generally applies the traditional system which is carried out for 4-6 months. The production output is milkfish consumption with the size of 6-7 fish/Kg and 1-2 fish/Kg. The market or customer for milkfish consumption is still within the scope of the Central Java region. Milkfish cultivators have built a business ecosystem through the application of SIPOC in a close system in a sustainable aquaculture business.

Abstract

High fish stock density causes a decrease in water quality due to increased organic waste in water media and this can be overcame using biofloc technology. The bacterial consortium in the biofloc system breaks the organic compound into nutrients for phytoplankton growth. This research aims to determine phytoplankton abundance in biofloc ponds with different catfish stocking densities. Furthermore, a completely randomized design (CRD) was used, with four treatments and three replications. The treatments involved 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, and 2,500 catfish per m3, respectively, with a weight of ± 1-3 grams. Also, the fish was fed 3% of its body weight and reared for 40 days in a tarpaulin pond, with a water volume of ± 1,974 L. The AMOVA test was used to analyze the data and 10 phytoplankton genera were observed. However, the phytoplankton abundances showed no statistical significance among the treatments. The results showed that the first treatment had the most abundant phytoplankton, with an average number of 13,394 cell/L.Keywords:AbundanceBioflocCatfishDensityPhytoplankton
