Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 memberikan dampak secara signifikan pada kegiatan pembelajaran guru dan peserta didik disekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran IPA berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada masa pandemi COVID-19 di SMP Se-Kabupaten Ngawi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa SMP se-Kabupaten Ngawi. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah siswa dari 5 sekolah diantaranya siswa SMP Negeri 3 Ngawi ,SMP Negeri 2 Ngawi, SMP Negeri 5 Ngawi, SMP Negeri 1 Kedunggalar, SMP Negeri 1 Karangjati, SMP Negeri 2 Paron. Instrumen Penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi pembelajaran, lembar wawancara, dan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar penerapan pembelajaran berbasis saintifik tidak terlaksana dengan maksimal dimasa pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

Abad 21 menuntut siswa untuk mandiri dalam memecahkan masalah yang didukung dengan adanya kurikulum 2013. Penggunaan model pembelajaran disekolah yang membentuk karakter siswa untuk mandiri dalam memecahkan sebuah masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu menemukan sebuah kendala guru saat mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran DL (Discovery Learning) dan PBL (Problem Based Learning). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, memakai sampel 2 guru mata pelajaran IPA, kelas VIII sejumlah 20 siswa dan kelas IX sejumlah 10 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan penilaian guru berdasarkan keterlaksanaan sintaks model pembelajaran DL dan PBL, wawancara, dan angket siswa. Pengamatan dari penelitian telah ditemukan bahwa guru sudah mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran problem based learning serta discovery learning namun masih terdapat kesulitan yang dialami guru dalam menjelaskan saat pengolahan data, pengawasan dan pengelolaan dalam kelas, serta membimbing siswa menarik kesimpulan permasalahan

Abstract

Guru membutuhkan media untuk memperjelas penyajian isi, mengatasi kendala ruang, menarik perhatian dan mendorong siswa dalam proses pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Buku ajar merupakan alat dan media pembelajaran yang penting yang dapat membantu siswa mencapai tujuan belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis 2 buku ajar IPA SMP pada materi Hukum Newton dari aspek High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) buku IPA untuk siswa SMP dan MTs kelas VIII Semester 1 Kurikulum 2013 Edisi Revisi 2017 oleh Pusat Kurikulum dan Buku Balitbang Kemendikbud sebagai buku ajar 1 dan buku IPA untuk siswa SMP dan MTs kelas VIII Semester 1 Kurikulum 2013 Edisi Revisi 2016 oleh Penerbit Erlangga sebagai buku ajar 2. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan metode kualitatif berdasarkan ciri-ciri HOTS dalam buku ajar dan teknik kuantitatif untuk mendeskripsikan dan menghitung persentase HOTS dalam buku ajar. Instrumen yang diperlukan untuk pengumpulan data yaitu lembar analisis yang memuat indikator HOTS yang sesuai dengan Taksonomi Bloom revisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa muatan HOTS dalam buku ajar 1 sebesar 50% sedangkan muatan HOTS dalam buku ajar 2 sebesar 16,6%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat muatan HOTS dalam kedua buku ajar. Akan tetapi buku ajar 1 lebih layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran materi Hukum Newton ditinjau dari aspek HOTS.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the need for additional teaching materials for science learning among students at MTs Negeri 2 Ngawi. This study uses a research and development method known as Research and Development (RnD). This research development model was adapted from the development of 4D-Models (define, design, development, and dissemination). The subjects in this study were class VIII students of MTs Negeri 2 Ngawi. Observations on science learning, interviews with teachers and students, and the distribution of questionnaires on the need for additional teaching materials indicate that in addition to the textbooks already owned by students, additional teaching materials are also needed according to the characteristics of students. The textbooks owned by students also have several shortcomings, ranging from the limited material presented and the lack of experimental exercises. This research was conducted to explore the analysis of student needs and classroom conditions to find solutions for the development of teaching materials to be used. The results of this study can be concluded that students need teaching materials that allow them to conduct direct experiments to receive the material effectively.

Abstract

In this 21st-century educational paradigm, the ability to think critically is one of the life skills that must be possessed to adapt to an increasingly developing life. This study aims to describe the profile of the critical thinking ability of junior high school students in science subjects on Simple Aircraft material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Qualitative descriptive research is research that is used to investigate the actual data and is described in the form of words - words or verbally. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII-BIL SMP N 1 Sine with a total of 30 children. The research instrument used in the form of 10 reasoned multiple choice questions (two-tier multiple choice) based on indicators of critical thinking ability according to Facione which is divided into 4 namely (1) interpretation (2) analysis (3) inference (4) evaluation. The results of the study show that students have moderate critical thinking skills, with a percentage of 40%. Meanwhile, based on indicators showing aspects (1) Interpretation has a percentage of 72.3% with a high category (2) analysis has a percentage of 56.7% with a medium category (3) inference has a percentage of 47.8% with a low category (4) evaluation has a percentage 40% with low category. This research is expected to be used as a benchmark for teachers to provide a learning system that encourages students to improve their critical thinking skills by involving students in taking an active role in learning. In addition, this research is expected to provide a reference for similar research or further research.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian meta analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui latar belakang, subjek dan hasil dari penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skills) pada mata pelajaran IPA. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang berkaitan dengan latar belakang, subjek dan jenis penelitian berdasarkan tujuh belas penelitian yang telah dikumpulkan, yang bersumber dari jurnal nasional, jurnal internasional dan skripsi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 50,00% penelitian menggunakan subjek peserta didik tingkat SMP, 28,57% peserta didik tingkat SD, dan pada tingkatan SMA dan Mahasiswa memperoleh persentase sama yakni 10,71%. Berdasarkan jenis penelitiannya, terdapat 8 penelitian kualitatif, 7 penelitian pengembangan, 9 penelitian kuantitatif, 3 penelitian tindakan kelas dan 1 penelitian campuran. Adapun berdasarkan kajian latar belakang sebesar 53,57% karena pentingnya kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi di abad 21 ini. Selain itu terdapat tiga permasalahan yang juga melatar belakangi penelitian tersebut, diantaranya yakni rendahnya kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa, kurangnya penerapan pembelajaran dan penilaian berbasis HOTS dan kurangnya pemahaman guru terhadap soal dan penilaian HOTS, sehingga perlunya pengembangan media, buku ajar maupun soal yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.Kata kunci: Meta Analisis, Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi (HOTS), Latar Belakang.  AbstractThis meta-analysis study aims to determine the background, subject and results of previous studies related to higher order thinking skills in science subjects. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique related to the background, subject and type of research based on twenty eight studies that had been collected, sourced from national journals, international journals and theses. The results of this study indicate that 50.00% of the study used students at the junior high school level, 28.57% students at the elementary level, and at the high school level and students, the percentage was the same, namely 10.71%. Based on the type of research, there are 8 qualitative research, 7 development research, 9 quantitative research, 3 classroom action research and 1 mixedmethode research, based on a background study of 53.57% because of the importance of higher order thinking skills in the 21st century. In addition, there are three problems that are also the background of the research, including the low level of students' higher-order thinking skills, the lack of application of HOTS-based learning and assessment and the teacher's lack of understanding of HOTS questions and assessments, so it is necessary to develop media, textbooks and questions that can improve students' higher order thinking skills.Keywords: Meta Analysis, Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), Background.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP dalam memahami materi fisika tentang pesawat sederhana pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kasreman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-kuantitatif dan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam memahami materi tentang pesawat sederhana. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 10 soal pilihan ganda dua tingkat yang dibagi menjadi 5 indikator, yaitu: 1) Klarifikasi Dasar, 2) Keterampilan Dasar (Basic Support), 3) Inferensi, 4) Klarifikasi Lanjut, dan 5) Strategi dan Taktik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan persentase kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam memahami materi pesawat terbang sederhana sebesar 73,6%, dengan indikator Klarifikasi Dasar kategori tinggi. Indikator Basic Support mendapatkan persentase 75,9% dalam kategori tinggi. Indikator Inferensi mendapatkan persentase sebesar 43,5% dalam kategori cukup. Indikator Klarifikasi Lanjut memperoleh persentase sebesar 55,1% dalam kategori cukup. Indikator Strategi dan Taktik berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 42,6%.

This article is structured to determine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning and Problem Solving learning models on students' critical thinking skills. Data collection is done by collecting books and journals and then reading and reviewing them. After all the data was collected, testing and comparison of the effectiveness of the two learning models were carried out. The data analysis technique was carried out qualitatively by quoting the appropriate opinion. The results showed that the problem-based learning model is a very good model used in physics learning to improve students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the many learning theories that support the Problem Based Learning model and have succeeded in increasing critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, the Problem Solving learning model has not been fully implemented optimally, because learning activities are still teacher centered. The successful application of the social system that has been implemented has not accommodated the improvement of critical thinking skills.   Keywords: 1st Problem Based Learning s; 2nd Problem Solving; 3rd Critical Thinking Ability.
