Abstract

The amount of data in our world has been rapidly keep growing from time to time.  In the era of big data, the efficient processing and analysis of big data using machine learning algorithm is highly required, especially when the data comes in form of streams. There is no doubt that big data has become an important source of information and knowledge in making decision process. Nevertheless, dealing with this kind of data comes with great difficulties; thus, several techniques have been used in analyzing the data in the form of streams. Many techniques have been proposed and studied to handle big data and give decisions based on off-line batch analysis. Today, we need to make a constructive decision based on online streaming data analysis. Many researchers in recent years proposed some different kind of frameworks for processing the big data streaming. In this work, we explore and present in detail some of the recent achievements in big data streaming in term of contributions, benefits, and limitations. As well as some of recent platforms suitable to be used for big data streaming analytics. Moreover, we also highlight several issues that will be faced in big data stream processing. In conclusion, it is hoped that this study will assist the researchers in choosing the best and suitable framework for big data streaming projects.

Abstract

Cloud computing represents a kind of computing that is based on the sharing of computing resources instead of possessing personal devices or local servers for handling several applications and tasks. This kind of computing includes three distinguished kinds of services provided remotely for clients that can be accessed by using the Internet. Typically, clients work on paying annual or monthly service fees for suppliers, in order to gain access to systems that work on delivering infrastructure as a service, platforms as a service, and software as a service for any subscriber. In this paper, the usefulness and the abuse of the cloud computing are briefly discussed and presented by highlighting the influences of cloud computing in different areas. Moreover, this paper also presents the kinds and services of cloud. In addition, the security issues that cover the cloud security solution requirements, and the cloud security issues, which is one of the biggest issues in recent years in cloud computing were presented in this paper. The security requirement that needs by the cloud computing covers privacy, lack of user control, unauthorized secondary usage, and finally data proliferation and data flow. Meanwhile, the security issues cover including ownership of device, the trust issue and legel aspects. To overcome the security issues, this paper also presents the solution at the end of this paper.

Abstract

The very rapid development of technology and the high level of human innovation have made the emergence of increasingly sophisticated technological products, one of which is the MCU node, a microcontroller system that has been integrated with various electronic modules and by using the C++ programming language, the automatic smart home control system, is one of the technological advances in the field of mechanics and electronics, both digital and analog, by integrating a smartphone as a remote to turn on and turn off certain electrical equipment using the MCU node as the main control and a link between smartphones. Remote application smart home as a media user interface for giving commands via the smartphone which will be executed by the MCU node and then the relay which will execute the electrical equipment installed at home

Abstract

Feedback Information System Teaching and Learning Against Web-Based Teaching Staff In the Department of Information Technology Padang State Polytechnic is an information system that receives feedback from the learning process of students to teaching staff in the form of questionnaires, to then process and provide the necessary information. This system can be accessed by many users at the same time. Users of this system consists of students, operators, administrator, and faculty leaders. The system is built using PHP programming language and MySQL database server. This system could make it easier, save time and reduce errors in entering, process and provide information on the results of data processing questionnaires. While limitations are only limited to faculty assessment only and limited to the processing of assessment ratio.

Abstract

The resulting of system is a web based application executed, it can be accessed by many users at the same time trough each on computer from browser by accessing the specified address. The users of this system consists of a head, department chairman, the general secretary of the department and administration of department, this system is build using PHP programming language and MySql database server. Advantages of this system is that it can save paper (paperless) and storage physical space. On this system can monitor incoming mail, incoming mail was processed, outgoing mail and letters that have been in the disposition that is in Polytecnic with available in online then this system becomes more effective performance and efficiently

Abstract

Department of Information Technology Padang State Polytechnic growing rapidly, the number of students and the amount of data will increase too. However, these conditions will bring complex problems to the department to manage it in quantitative and qualitative way. How complicated the problems faced when there are a lot of data that needs to be processed, and if it goes wrong it needs a long time to find, fix and change it. To minimize the errors and redundancies in processing the data, the department requires an academic information system. This system will manage student grades, final assignment and job training data at Information Technology Department. This web based Academic Information System was develop by using object oriented concept and JAVA especially J2EE technology as programming language and MYSQL Server as database. This system also design by using UML(Unified Modeling Language).

Abstract

Cyber crimes can attack computer networks, infiltrate the network, retrieve confidential data and paralyze computer network systems. In overcoming the crimes that will occur, a system equipped with a firewall and an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is needed. Firewall and IDS as network security features that can protect servers, networks, and block attacks. Firewall and IDS features can be implemented in OSSEC Tools. OSSEC is an open-source host-based intrusion detection system (HIDS) capable of performing log analysis, integrity checking, Windows registry monitoring, rootkit detection, time-based alerts, and active responses. OSSEC is capable of monitoring a single server or thousands of servers in server/agent mode

Abstract

Pada sebuah gudang terdapat proses penjemputan dan pengantaran barang dengan menggunakan mobil angkut barang sehingga banyak tahapan proses dalam penjemputan dan pengantaran barang menjadi salah satu faktor penentu efektifitas dalam sebuah gudang. Untuk itu perlu adanya sebuah alat yang mampu menjemput dan mengatarkan barang secara otomatis dengan menggunakan sistem pengalamatan lokasi barang di dalam gudang. Alat pengangkut barang ini dapat membantu proses penjemputan dan pengantaran barang di dalam gudang tanpa perlu dikendarai sehingga karyawan tidak perlu mengetahui posisi penyimpanan barang secara keseluruhan. Cara kerja alat ini menggunakan nodemcu sebagai pengatur pergerakan alat dan juga sebagai penerima dan pengirim perintah dari server lokal. Dalam pergerakannya alat ini memanfaatkan jeda waktu pergerakan motor sebagai acuan dalam pergerakan sehingga alat ini bisa bergerak maju, mundur, dan juga berbelok. Tampilan akhir dari alat ini berupa aplikasi berbasiskan website lokal.

Abstract

There are 210 countries / regions infected with the corona virus, the corona virus has now infected at least 2,197,968 people in the world. Meanwhile, Indonesia occupies the 36th position with a total of 5,923 cases. A total of 520 people died and 607 others recovered. Starting from the conditions currently developing in connection with the spread of the covid-19 virus, the WFH (Work from Home) program was launched. This is intended to break the chain of spreading the virus. As a consequence of the implementation of these activities, all activities that lead to the gathering of large numbers of people, such as lectures at the Padang State Polytechnic campus, are temporarily suspended for an unclear time. This is based on the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07 / MENKES / 260/2020 concerning Stipulation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions in the Region of West Sumatra Province in the Context of Accelerating Handling of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). This decision, he continued, has been followed up by the issuance of West Sumatra Governor Regulation Number 20 of 2020 concerning Guidelines for Large-Scale Social Restrictions in Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) in West Sumatra Province and West Sumatra Governor Decree Number 180-297-2020 concerning Enforcement of Large-Scale Social Restrictions in the West Sumatra Province in the Context of Accelerating Handling of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). Circular of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture Number 36604 / A3 / KP / 2020 dated March 15, 2020 concerning Procedures for Employees Working from Home and Deputy Director II of Padang State Polytechnic Number: 653 / PL9 / KP / 2020, March 26, 2020 concerning Work Notices from home or Work From Home (WFH). Lecturers, education personnel and honorary staff are encouraged to report their health, attendance and occupation through a certain application. Seeing the current needs and conditions, the Team took the initiative to make an application referred to as a quick and precise solution according to current conditions and in accordance with the regulations issued by the center up to the Padang State Polytechnic. The goal to be achieved from this service activity is to be able to help facilitate WFH reports through an E-logbook application in conditions that are not conducive to the covid-19 outbreak and participate in supporting government programs for better WFH because the information is well stored

Abstract

Alumni are an important asset for universities that must be embraced and developed. Alumni can provide a various constructive inputs to universities and are expected to be able to develop networks outside the agency and improve the good image of the almamater to the community. A college should provide a forum that can provide data of alumni for evaluating educational outcomes and improving quality to prepare accreditation assessment. An alumni application system that is able to recap all of alumni data and other data needed will certainly improve the accreditation assessment results. Based on these problems, we need an alumni application that can solve the problems effectively and efficiently. In this study a web-based alumni application was designed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) method based on the points of the diploma study program accreditation assessment points by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT). The final product of this research is the design application of information technology’s alumni at Politeknik Negeri Padang. Based on the results of the testing design, this application is effectively used to manage alumni data and match with the alumni data management standards contained in the evaluation standard of the diploma accreditation chapter evaluation of graduates.
