Abstract

The study of literacy always becomes the main issue in education, because this skill is a benchmark for the progress and development of a nation. Indonesia is a large country with a large area, however with its wide area it turns out to be an obstacle in terms of equalizing education in Indonesia. In fact, some rural villages have not had adequate access to education and it causes the paradigm about education among rural villages is less open.  Moreover, Indonesia is a country which majority of the population are Muslims, so the literacy skills improvement program which is being pursued should have an Islamic value. . Unfortunately, there have not been many reviews about increasing literacy skills based on Islamic education. Therefore, it needs an effort that can develop literacy skills for children especially for the nation's next generation. The fostering of villages youth organizations through the Islamic Reading Center (IRC) which aims to increase children's literacy is a literacy collaborative (LC) program starting from rural villages’ level, local government and central government which involves youth organization from the rural villages’ level, sub-district, regency, education and culture agency, social agency, regional and national libraries, and the directorate general of Islamic education of religious ministry of Republic of Indonesia. The Islamic reading center provides Islamic books and media that can be managed by the youth organizations in a rural village. So, through Islamic reading centers and literacy activities, it can increase literacy skills in rural villages which need more attention in education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksplorasi lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penentuan subyek penelitian dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Pihak yang dijadikan sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah mereka yang mengetahui, memahami, dan mengalami fokus kajian penelitian ini, yaitu yang mengetahui, memahami sejarah dan pelaksanaan kegiatan sebagai upaya pengamalan nilai-nilai keislaman dan etika lingkungan pada komunitas peduli sungai di kecamatan Cluwak, Pati. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: teknik observasi, teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data-data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dalam beberapa tahap yaitu: tabulasi dan klasifikasi data, reduksi data, interpretasi data dan penyimpulan data. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa adanya fenomena penumpukan sampah di sekitar jembatan Kebolanjam yang berada di titik 500 m sungai B, komunitas peduli sungai mengambil langkah operasional yang efektif dan kreatif untuk mengatasi pencemaran sampah di sekitar aliran sungai sebagai wujud nyata etika terhadap lingkungan dengan konsep bersih dan elok serta tidak melupakan upaya untuk perbaikan sikap masyarakat melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai islam (nilai ilahiyah dan insaniyah) melalui majelis taklim dan peningkatan pendidikan agama dalam berbagai forum atau kegiatan masyarakat desa Ngablak secara kontinyu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran Thinking Actively in Social Contexts (TASC) pada pembelajaran Biologi SMA disertai dengan panduan model yang layak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan higher order thinking. Penelitian ini menggunakan model 4D: define, design, develop, disseminate yang dikombinasikan dengan model Borg and Gall. Tahap define meliputi analisis kurikulum, karakteristik siswa, kegiatan siswa, materi dan tujuan pembelajaran. Tahap design meliputi pemilihan media, perancangan modifikasi sintaks, perancangan format panduan model, serta pembuatan produk awal. Tahap develop meliputi pengembangan model TASC disertai panduan model dengan penilaian oleh ahli dan uji pengembangan (uji coba terbatas dan uji coba lapangan). Tahap disseminate merupakan upaya penyebaran model TASC dilengkapi panduan model yang telah direvisi kepada beberapa pihak terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran TASC layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan higher order thinking siswa. Pencapaian nilai kemampuan higher order thinking mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan berdasarkan hasil pretest dan postes yang telah diuji dengan uji gain score dan uji t. Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran TASC, higher order thinking.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe 1) the application of Problem Reality Based Web Course Learning in the Reproductive System Material for Class XI MIPA SMA 1 Bae Kudus. 2) the students' High Order Thinking Skills on Reproductive System Material for Class XI MIPA SMA  1 Bae Kudus. 3) the effect of Web Course Learning Based on Problem Reality for Higher Order Thinking Skills of students XI MIPA on Reproductive System material SMA 1 Bae Kudus. This is experimental research with a quantitative approach. The sample of this study used 70 students from SMA 1 Bae Kudus. Sampling by using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The data analysis by using the Independent sample t-test. Hypothesis test results show that the value of sig-2 Tailed 0.000 <0.05, the conclusion is that H 1 is  accepted, meaning that there is an effect  of implementation Web Course Learning Based on Problem Reality for Higher Order Thinking Skills of students XI MIPA on Reproductive System material.  This research is expected to be able to provide new results that online learning is able to increase Higher Order Thinking Skills of student.

Abstract

This research uses R&D (Research and Development) research with a 4D development model adapted to 3D (Define, Design, Develop). The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the procedure for developing the STEM-based PraMetaVirLab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Biology Learning Media, 2) To determine the level of feasibility of the STEM-based PraMetaVirlab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Learning Media in Class XII SMA/ M.A. The test subjects in this research were students in class XII MIPA MA Raudlatus Shibyan. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling which is a type of non-probability sampling. The validation results from material experts obtained an assessment with an overall average percentage of 92.5% including the "Very Valid" category and an assessment from media experts with an overall average percentage of 89.964% "Very Valid" category. In the feasibility assessment by teachers, a percentage of 80% was obtained with the "Practical" category used by teachers, while the overall percentage obtained by students was 83.3% with the "Very Practical" category used by students. Thus, the STEM-based PraMetaVirLab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Biology Learning Media for class XII SMA/MA is practically used by teachers and students. Abstrak. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian R&D (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang diadaptasi menjadi 3D (Define, Design, Develop). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : 1) Untuk mengetahui prosedur pengembangan aplikasi PraMetaVirLab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Biologi, 2) Untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan aplikasi PraMetaVirlab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Pada Kelas XII SMA/MA. Subjek uj coba dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XII MIPA MA Raudlatus Shibyan. Teknik pengambilan data melalui angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan ialah sampling jenuh yang termasuk jenis non probability sampling.. Hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh penilaian dengan rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 92,5% termasuk kategori “Sangat Valid” dan penilaian dari ahli media dengan rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 89,964% kategori “Sangat Valid”. Pada penilaian kelayakan oleh guru didapat presentase sejumlah 80%  dengan kategori “Praktis” digunakan oleh guru sedangkan oleh peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 83,3%  dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis” digunakan oleh peserta didik. Dengan demikian, aplikasi PraMetaVirLab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Biologi kelas XII SMA/MA praktis digunakan oleh guru dan peserta didik.
