Abstract

This study aims to improve teacher performance in conducting exploration, elaboration, and confirmation in science classroom. The School Action Research conducted in fourth and fifith grade of SDN Sidorejo Tanjung consists of 2 (two) cycles. Research subjects are two science teachers in fourth and fifth grade. The findings revealed that through establishing action in 2 cycles, fourth grade science teachers ability to conduct exploration improves from 8,0 to 12,0; elaboration improves from 9,0 to 13,0, and confirmation improves from 8,0 to 12,5. For fifth grade science teacher, teachers ability to conduct exploration improves from 6,5 to 12,0; elaboration improves from 6,0 to 12,0; and confirmation improves from 7,3 to 12,0. In general, teachers’ ability to conduct exploration, elaboration, and confirmation increase from 52,25% in cycle 1 (good category) to 78% in cycle 2 (excellent).

Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of studentsskills in listening to short stories.This can be seen in the value of listening to students who are under the minimumcompleteness criteria (75).This is due to the lack of interest and motivation of studentsin listening to short stories, learning models applied by teachers that are less precise,and the classroom atmosphere that is less supportive of the achievement of listening learning objectives. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. This researchmethod is qualitative and quantitative methods. The purpose of this study was toincrease the activity and student learning outcomes in learning to listen to short storiesby applying theQuantum Teaching model in class XI IPS 1 of SMA Negeri 2 Rambah.The results of this study were (1) improving the quality of student activity from cycle I by46%, cycle II by 62%, cycle III by 76%, and cycle IV by 96%, there was an increase instudent activity in listening to short stories to be very high quality, and (2) thecompleteness of learning outcomes from the first cycle is 41.38% with an average valueof 73.06, the second cycle is 55.17% with an average value of 78.65, the third cycle is72, 41%with an average value average of 82.07, and cycle IV of 100% with an averagevalue of 87.10. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the applicationof the Quantum Teaching model in learning to listen to short stories can increase theactivity and learning outcomes of class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Rambah Hilir.

Abstract

One of the oral traditions of Pelalawan people loaded with character values ​​is the Long Chant of the Bujang Si Undang. In the long song Bujang Si Undang depicted portrait of ideal character of pelalawan people who can be guided as effort to maintain local wisdom of Petalangan society. This paper aims to describe the value of character education contained in the Legend of the Legal Bujang Si. Techniques performed in analyzing data using content analysis (content analysis). The result of the research shows that Singing Long Bujang Si Undang has educational content of character value. Educational values ​​of the characters contained in the Legend of Singles Long Leg there are five, namely the character of faith and cautious, honest, intelligent, resilient, and caring. Character education in Long Singing Sing song with the focus of faith and cautious reflected from the character of obedience to parents and mandate. The value of character education with honest focus is depicted from the honest character and responsibility. The education of the character's character with the focus of the intelligent character is depicted from the virtue character of demanding science and openness. Educational values ​​of characters with strong character focus are depicted from the character of hard work, diligent, and diligent, independent, confident, and courageous. Educational values ​​of characters with a focus of caring character depicted from sincere character, willing to sacrifice, affection, mutual cooperation, and spirit of unity.

Abstract

Tempe merupakan makanan tradisional khas Indonesia   yang   terbuat  dari   hasil   fermentasi   kedelai dengan jamur Rhizopus oligosporus dan Rhizopus oryzae. Terdapat  tiga  tahapan  dalam  proses  pembuatan  tempe yaitu pengupasan, perebusan dan peragian (Inokulasi). Proses  pengupasan  umumnya  masih  menggunakan cara klasik yaitu di injak-injak sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama dan keahlian. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut terdapat inovasi baru yaitu alat pengupas  kulit  ari  kedelai  dengan  menggunakan  motor DC. Dengan mengunakan alat diharapkan dapat mengupas kulit ari kedelai dengan waktu yang singkat. Namun kecepatan  motor  saat  proses  pengupasan  tidak  stabil karena dipengaruhi oleh kedelai sehingga proses pengupasan   tidak   maksimal.   Untuk   memaksimalkan kinerja alat tersebut maka dibutuhkan kontroler untuk mengatur kecepatan putaran motor DC agar tetap konstan sesuai set point dengan tingkatan pembebanan yang berbeda-beda. Metode kontrol yang digunakan adalah metode PI yang ditanamkan pada sebuah mikrokontroler. Mikrokontroler yang digunakan adalah Arduino Uno. Kontrol PI akan  membandingkan nilai  set point dengan kecepatan motor DC yang dibaca oleh rotary encoder. Nilai konstanta Kp dan Ki dapat ditentukan dengan metode osilasi Ziegler-Nichols. Berdasarkan pengujiuan di dapat respon sistem yang baik dengan nilai Kp = 0.909 Ki = 4.166 dan presentase hasil pengupasan 70%.

Abstract

Di zaman modern perkembangan teknologi semakin cepat, kebutuhan energi listrik semakin meningkat. Sekarang banyak dikembangkan  pembangkit listrik yang bersumberkan energi matahari dan dengan  diuntungkannya letak Indonesia secara geografis dan terletak di daerah katulistiwa sehingga Indonesia mempunyai sumber energi matahari yang cukup banyak, pemanfaatan energi ini menggunakan sebuah solar cell yang menggunakan prinsip kerja mengubah energi surya menjadi energi listrik yaitu efek photovoltaic. Keluaran dari photovoltaic berupa tegangan DC .Tetapi umumnya alat elektronik umumnya menggunakan tegangan AC. Untuk itu dibutuhkan sebuah alat untuk mengkonversikan tegangan DC ke AC yaitu inverter. Inverter memiliki gelombang keluaran gelombang kotak dan gelombang sinusoidal yang tidak sempurna dan memiliki kelemahan gelombang harmonisa dan efisiensi rendah. Kelemahan tersebut bisa diatasi dengan menggunakan inverter sinusoidal murni. Untuk mendapatkan gelombang sinusoidal murni dapat menggunakan metode Sinus Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM
