Abstract

PT XYZ is a State-Owned Enterprise that produces military equipment. Due to an increasing demand for such equipment every year, ammunition box sub-department asked their workers to work overtime and the total cycle time of ammunition box lid is higher than that of the ammunition box. Heuristic approaches, namely the Birnie Helgeson (RPW) and Moodie Young, are used to overcome these issues. This study aims to improve line balancing efficiency of ammunition box production. The findings showed that the Moodie Young method resulted in a 7.98% increase in line efficiency of the ammunition box lid and 21.77% increase in that of the ammunition box. In addition, the balance delay value decreased as much as the line efficiency. There are 9.09 and 152.87 decrease in the smoothing indexof the ammunition box lid and the ammunition box. The Moodie Young method cut the total labor cost to 9,597,170 rupiahs.

Abstract

Good performance measurement is a measurement that covers all aspects of the stakeholders include investors, customer, employees, suppliers, regulators and communities. There is only one performance measurement that covers all aspects of stakeholders by using performance prism methods. Hospital X Malang is one example of an organization that use traditional performance measurement. Performance measurement has been done based on the financial side only, while the other aspects less noticed. Performance prism in this study aided by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and scoring system which includes objectives matrix and traffic light systems. The results was obtained 99 KPI consists of 17 investors, 35 customer, 16 employee, 15 supplier and 16 regulators and the community. Total index of the objective matrix is 7.9 and based on the traffic light system is in the yellow category.

Abstract

Abstract In this study done on leather shoe company that uses flow shop scheduling strategies. Where the purpose of this study is to minimize makespan is the total time needed to complete the entire job. This is done because of the large demand for leather shoes that exceeds the production capacity and production scheduling by the company based on intuition. In solving the production scheduling problem that occurs in the company, Cross Entropy algorithm used method-Genetic Algorithm (CEGA) to minimize the makespan. From the results of calculations with CEGA method sequences obtained by scheduling makespan value of 5822 seconds with an efficiency of 6.79% when compared with the method of the company with sebasar makespan value of 6246 seconds.

Abstract

assembly is the one step on productions. Efficiency of assembly line is affecting to the level of production. To increase the level of production, the efficiency of assembly line must increase to. Aims of this research is to create the alternative assembly line with using heuristic method and simulation approach, to meet higher level of efficiency and increase the assembly line capacity. The result from this research could increase the efficiency of assembly line from 53,2% to 91,5%, and result from simulation approach could increase capacity of assembly line from 9035 box per month to 11249 box per month

Abstract

Abstract The development of the furniture industry today is getting tougher so that businesses are required to make improvement and increase its performance thus able to grow and compete, one of them is CV. KOKOH is a company that manufactures, study chair covers, windows sills, doors, cabinets, tables, etc., by applying the make to order system. The focus of this research study on the seat due to dominate demand for these products amounted to 60% of all types of products manufactured. The purpose of this study is to identify waste and to analyze the causes of waste that occurs in the production process chair learning approach by using the tools of lean manufacturing value stream mapping (VSM), value stream analysis tools (VALSAT) and failure mode and affects analysis (FMEA). The result is that based process mapping activity, which belong to the value adding activity Is operating with a requirement for 6.840 second or as many as 45 activity or by 58,34%, necessary but non-value added activity is the activity of transportation and inspection needs 2.505 seconds or as much as 23 activity or by 21,37% as well as belonging to the non value adding activity is the activity of storage  and delay with the time requirements of 2.380 Seconds or as much as 34 activity or by 20,29% of the total time and decrease production time of 138,4 minutes into 11723,93 seconds occur time reduction of production lead time process for 9347 seconds whit a decrease in the amount of 79.72%.

Abstract

Abstract Quality is one of problems commonly happen in production. It can be vary and affect the level of product quality and service. Improving quality is needed to keep a good quality of a product. X Inc is one of a company focus on making slipper. The problem is facing by the company is that the method use to decrease the defect and waste is not effective yet. Based on the problem above, a researcher conduct a research and basic concept development lean six sigma to improve the quality by integrating FMEA and AHP in identifying the product defect. It is hoped that the X inc. can keep or maintain and improve the quality in order to fulfill the costumer`s need. Based on the result of FMEA-AHP computation, it is found that IR result is 0,0745. It means that the data is consistent. While priority FMEA-AHP computation for each criteria will be used as reference in making or taking decision. Keywords : lean six sigma approachment, FMEA-AHP, defect, slipper.

Abstract

In a closed-loop supply chain area, the concept of sustainability is one of the primary factors that motivates companies to survive in a dynamic market. The purpose of this paper is to present a literature review of quantitative models in the remanufacturing process, especially mathematical models such as pricing decisions and cost models, reviewed from various scientific journals. Challenges to meet market demands, to boost efficient operational costs, and to increase profits have made researchers interested in deeply exploring this issue. Studies in the reverse supply chain area ensure that the supply process runs effectively and efficiently, meeting a level that is as good as when implementing the forward supply chain. Coordination and collaboration among companies, core acquisition strategy, model character behavior, and reverse channel structure are some characteristics of the quantitative models within the area of a closed-loop supply chain. Mapping was arranged to identify the involvement of research variables (core acquisition cost and remanufactured product price) and factors that were considered in the mathematical model of core acquisition (quantity and quality). Furthermore, the related literature on the issue was analyzed based on the involvement of the considered variables and factors. Finally, future research opportunities are presented as the result of the conducted literature review in this study.
