Abstract

This study aimed to explore the preparation of an outdoor study, the experiences of students and the results of their essays after doing an outdoor study using the exploration method of 14 students. The techniques used were interviews and analysis of their written documents. The findings of this study indicated that outdoor study activities began with preparation to achieve learning objectives by setting a schedule of activities. Students felt that outdoor study activities in learning to write made it easier for them to write based on the realities of people's lives without having to imagine as well as being able to socialize with the community. Students' essays were generally seen from the aspects of content, content organization, vocabulary and grammar in general according to facts, good and precise. There were three topics written about the function of the Kereng Bangkirai Pier and the title of the essay and the flow of the different descriptions. The implication of this research is that learning in an environment that matches the theme of the material helps students in developing their competences from cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

The use of media, especially in learning Arabic in Indonesia has been proven to be significant. Many studies prioritize the use of certain media in the learning process so that it can overcome the problems of learning Arabic. This descriptive qualitative study discusses the use of interactive multimedia in learning Arabic at IAIN Palangka Raya. This study aims to explore interactive multimedia used by PBA lecturers to overcome the problems of learning Arabic. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study are: first, in terms of time and place of implementation, namely IAIN Palangka Raya e-learning, Arabic online and Bahasaarab312.gnomio.com. Second, viewed from the materials being taught, multimedia PowerPoint was used which included cartoon story maker media, Arabic Online, camtasia, active presenter, e-book learning, YouTube, kine master, pollagon, Arabee. Third, seen from the needs of students, Macromedia / Adobe Flash was relevant. The Arabic learning problems that can be overcome with the use of interactive multimedia are as follows. 1) In terms of linguistics, using interactive multimedia, lecturers become easier in demonstrating teaching or learning materials to 2) in terms of practical (non-linguistic) using multimedia interactive, PBA lecturers can attract the students ‘interests and attention who lack of motivation in learning Arabic.

Abstract

This study examines the leadership of the Kiai at the Hidayatul Insan Islamic Boarding School, Fii Ta'Limiddin, Palangka Raya City with the formulation of the nature of pesantren leadership and how to integrate Islamic boarding school culture and Dayak culture in the Hidayataul Insan Islamic Boarding School, Palangka Raya City. The research was conducted using a phenomenological approach through interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out through three activity streams. The results showed that the leadership of the pesantren is a leadership phenomenon that tends to be autocracy in which the highest power and authority is in the hands of the Kiai. Integrative leadership as a cooperative and democratic leadership model can be an alternative model of leadership, especially in the context of cultural integration in Islamic boarding schools
