Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the effect of communication effectiveness, conflict management, and work commitment on teacherss work discipline. The research was conducted at Senior Vocational School Kalianda. This study used a survey method with Analysis of Variances (ANAVA) for testing hypothesis. There were 69 teachers taken as the samples of the research by simple random sampling. Data analysis indicate that: (1) there is significan effect of communication effectiveness on teachers work discipline, (2) there is significant effect of conflict management on teachers work discipline; (3) there is significant effect of work commitment on teachers work discipline; (4) there is significant joint effect of communication effectiveness, conflict management, and work commitment on teacherss work discipline. Based on these findings teachers work discipline can be enhanced through improvement of communication effectiveness, conflict management, and work commitment.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh efektivitas komunikasi, manajemen konflik, dan komitmen kerja terhadap disiplin kerja guru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Kalianda. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survey, sedangkan pengujian hipotesis penelitian menggunakan Analisis Varians (ANAVA). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 69 orang guru yang diambil secara acak. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh signifikan efektivitas komunikasi terhadap disiplin kerja guru, (2) terdapat pengaruh signifikan manajemen konflik terhadap kinerja guru, (3) terdapat pengaruh signifikan komitmen kerja terhadap disiplin kerja guru), dan (4) terdapat pengaruh secara bersama-sama efektivitas komunikasi, manajemen konflik, dan komitmen kerja terhadap disiplin kerja guru. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, direkonmendasikan bahwa untuk meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru diperlukan peningkatan efektivitas komunikasi kepala sekolah, manajemen konflik, dan komitmen kerja.Kata kunci : komunikasi, manajemen konflik, komitmen kerja, disiplin kerja, kinerja
