Abstract

This study was done because of the writers concern about the quality of learning done by the teachers in the classroom was less intensive. This study used kuasi experiment design by using nonequivalent group pre-test post-test design. From the results of the statistical data it showed that there were significant differences between critical thinking skills and creative thinking of children who used the Problem Based Learning in class experiments with the Inquiry Learning on class control. Critical and creative thinking skills of children who used the Problem Based Learning has increased very significantly compared to used Inquiry Learning. This would greatly help the students in their activities and seeking knowledge or understanding to satisfy curiosity so that students would become critical and creative thinking who were able to solve various problems.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena kekhawatiran peneliti mengenai kualitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru di kelas yang kurang intensif dalam hal memberikan pelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan model rancangan nonequivalent group pre-test post-test design. Dari hasil data statistik menunjukkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa memiliki pengaruh yang sangat signifikan dimana dengan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah anak mampu mengembangkan berpikir kritisnya, anak menjadi seorang analis dan kritis dalam hal bertanya dan masalah kelompok untuk dipecahkan sendiri atau secara bersama-sama, menemukan hal-hal yang beragam serta siswa mampu melahirkan hal yang baru dan lebih menarik, selain itu Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah efesien untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berfikir kritis dan kreatif siswa.
