Abstract

This study discusses the values of character education in novel Surat Dahlan by Krishna Pabichara and design learning as teaching material in high school. The purpose of this study to describe the values of character education in the novel Surat Dahlan by Khrisna Pabichara and designing learning as teaching material in high school. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data source of this research is the novel Surat Dahlan by Pabichara. Based on the results of data analysis, found 16 values of character education, including religious, honest, disciplined, creative, hard working, independent, democratic, curiosity, spirit of nationalism, patriotism, recognize excellence, friendship, love peace, love reading, social care, and responsible. The results of this study can be used as teaching materials for designing learning Indonesian literature at the high school.Penelitian ini membahas nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada novel Surat Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara dan rancangan pembelajarannya sebagai bahan ajar di SMA. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada novel Surat Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara dan merancang pembelajarannya sebagai bahan ajar di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Surat Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ditemukan 16 nilai pendidikan karakter, meliputi religius, jujur, disiplin, kreatif, kerja keras, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli sosial, dan bertanggung jawab. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar guna merancang pembelajaran sastra Indonesia di SMA.Kata kunci: bahan ajar, nilai-nilai pendidikan, novel.
