This research was motived by the low activity and studyg result of students on of IPS subject at class IV A elementary school 1 Giriklopomulyo. The aims of this research were to increase activity and study result through the implementation of student facilitator and explaining learning model . This research was classroom action research that consist of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The instrument of data collection used observation sheet and study result test. The technique of data analysis used quantitative and qualitative analysis. The result of research showed that implementation of student facilitator and explaining learning on subject of IPS can increase activity and student studying result.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas IV A SD Negeri 1 Giriklopomulyo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar melalui penerapan model pembelajaran student facilitator and explaining. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tahapan setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran student facillitator and explaining pada mata pelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas, hasil belajar, student facilitator and explaining, IPS
