Abstract

The background of this research was the low of social science result in IV B class of SD Negeri 2 Rukti Harjo. The purpose of this research was to increase the result of by implementing the power of two model. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research consisted of 2 cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data were obtained through non-test and test techniques using the observation sheet and questions test. Data were analyzed by using qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The result of this research showed that implementation of the power of two model in learning social science can improve the learning result of the student.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV B SD Negeri 2 Rukti Harjo. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model the power of two. Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan 2 siklus. Tiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data diperoleh melalui teknik non tes dan tes dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model the power of two pada pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, model the power of two, IPS.
