Abstract

This study aims to internalize the value of lempu' in uncovering the advantages of mixed traders with Islamic business ethics perspectives. The focus of this research is on the values of lempu' contained in the siri'na pacce culture and the principles of Islamic business ethics. Researchers used qualitative methods with normative ethnographic and theological approaches. Sources of data in this study are primary data obtained directly from the research site with interviews by mixed traders of Bugis-Makassar ethnicity through direct face-to-face. The results explain that the value of lempu' means honesty, truth, sincerity, kindness, and justice shape the character of most of the Bugis-Makassar traders to behave according to their culture. The value of lempu' in the Bugis-Makassar ethnic culture has the same meaning as the principles of Islamic business ethics, namely monotheism, balance, truth, and ihsan. The application of the value of lempu' and the principles of Islamic business ethics in trading yields not only material benefits, but nonmaterial benefits in the form of blessings for peace of mind and does not make it further away from God which brings to the welfare of the world and the hereafter.

Abstract

The primary purpose of this research was to investigate the implementation of the al-Adl Concept on the Practices of Muzara'ah and Mukhabarah. This research particularly examined and determined the most suitable profit-sharing contract decisions to be applied to the leading agricultural sector in Bantaeng Regency. A qualitative research design was adopted in this study by using a phenomenological research approach. The data collection methods used in this study were observation, document analysis, and direct interviews with several informants. The data of this research were analyzed using descriptive qualitative data analysis and pairwise comparison scale qualitative analysis using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The study results indicated that the community's practices of muzara'ah and mukhabarah in Bantaeng Regency had been well conducted.

Abstract

Every financial transaction in Sharia Banking is required to include a guarantee. This thing is to save the bank funds when customer does a default. The Sharia Bank based on Law number 4 of 1996 concerning the Mortgage rights have the rights to confiscate customer guarantees that have matured and there is no good willingness to pay. However, in practice, banks cannot carry out execution practices to make sales directly. Banks have to go through a long formal procedure to withdraw funds from the customer guarantees, and often encounter various kinds of obstacles. Researchers use two data sources, namely a primary data and secondary data. Methods of data collection, researchers conducted interviews and documentation observations. Data analysis by following the steps namely data display, data reduction, data editing, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. Testing of the validity of data in this research is triangulation of data sources and triangulation of methods.
