Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in solving mathematical problems based on mathematical logic intelligence. The population of this research is the fourth-semester students of Mathematics Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun, totaling 52. While the subjects of this research are 3 students based on mathematical logic intelligence. The subject is taken by one student each from high, medium, and low mathematical logic intelligence. This research is descriptive qualitative research using the triangulation technique. Data collection techniques used are tests, interviews, and documentation. Instruments in the form of advanced mathematical material tests and tests of mathematical logic intelligence. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The conclusion in this study is that subjects who have high mathematical logic intelligence have no difficulty in working on problems, subjects of mathematical logic intelligence are having difficulty at the stage of re-examining their answers, and subjects of low mathematical logic intelligence have difficulty in solving problems properly and have not been able to re-examine the answers. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berdasarkan kecerdasan logika matematika. Populasi penelitian ini mahasiswa semester IV Pendidikan Matematika Universitas PGRI Madiun yang berjumlah 52. Sedangkan subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 mahasiswa berdasarkan kecerdasan logika matematika. Subjek tersebut diambil masing-masing satu mahasiswa dari kecerdasan logika matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrumen berupa tes materi matematika lanjut dan tes kecerdasan logika matematika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah subjek yang memiliki kecerdasan logika matematika tinggi tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal, subjek kecerdasan logika matematika sedang kesulitan pada tahap memeriksa kembali jawabannya dan subjek kecerdasan logika matematika rendah kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal dengan baik dan belum mampu memeriksa kembali jawabannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana model pembelajaran example-non example berbasis etnomatematika batik Madura yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar geometri bangun datar sederhana serta aktivitas belajar siswa sekolah dasar kelas rendah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan plan, act, observe, dan reflect. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada siswa kelas II SDN Kramat I Bangkalan sebanyak 21 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar observasi aktivitas guru, serta angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I diperoleh 80,95% hasil belajar geometri siswa di atas nilai 70, rata-rata aktivitas siswa mencapai 80,36% (kategori baik). Sedangkan pada siklus II, hasil belajar sebesar 90,47% namun untuk akitivitas siswa masih belum mencapai kriteria yaitu memperoleh nilai rata-rata 82,44%. Pada siklus III persentase hasil belajar siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas 70 sebesar 100% dan aktivitas belajar siswa mencapai 87,50% dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar adalah membentuk siswa yang mampu berpikir logis, analitis, sistematis, dan kreatif. Untuk mewujudkan tujuan tersebut, terutama dalam mengasah siswa berpikir kreatif dalam memecahkan masalah matematika, guru harus lebih inovatif dalam melakukan pembelajaran matematika. Guru harus mulai mengajak siswa untuk belajar berpikir tingkat tinggi, salah satunya dengan membiasakan siswa untuk memecahkan masalah sehingga kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa bisa terasah. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian kualitatif dengan subjek peneltian siswa SDN Banyuajuh I, Kamal, Madura. Penentuan subyek penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes gaya kognitif yaitu Group Embedded Figure Test (GEFT). Gaya kognitif siswa dalam memecahkan masalah pecahan dianalisis dari hasil tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa kedua subyek dengan gaya kognitif field independent mampu menyelesaikan masalah pecahan dengan baik dan memenuhi ketiga aspek berpikir kreatif yaitu fluency, flexibility, dan novelty. Subyek laki-laki dengan gaya kognitif field dependent mampu menyelesaikan masalah akan tetapi tidak kreatif, serta hanya mampu memenuhi dua saja dari tiga kategori berpikir kreatif yaitu fluency, dan flexibility. Sedangkan subyek perempuan dengan gaya kognitif field dependent hanya mampu menyelesaikan masalah menggambarkan pecahan tetapi tidak memenuhi ketiga kriteria berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the steps of the talking stick type of cooperative learning model assisted with question cards that can improve student learning outcomes and interest. The research was conducted using this type of classroom action research. The stages of classroom action research carried out include: plan, act, observe, reflect. The research was conducted at SDN Kara I, Sampang to 9 Grade III students. The results of the study indicate that the steps of the talking stick type of cooperative learning model assisted with question cards that can improve learning outcomes and student interest are: the teacher organizes students into several groups, each group consisting of four students heterogeneously. The teacher explains the rules of the game, namely the game is done by running a stick while singing, if the teacher says "stop" then the last one holding the stick gets a question by taking a question card containing the question, but if the student cannot answer it can be helped by a group of friends. Likewise so on ". After finishing the teacher asks students to conclude the material that has been studied then divides the evaluation questions. The percentage of classical completeness of learning outcomes reached 77.77% with an average learning outcome also increased from 66.1 to 77.77. Likewise with students' interest in learning, on average the results of filling out the interest questionnaire were in the category of very fond of the cooperative learning model type talking stick assisted question card that was done.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya pengaruh gaya belajar mahasiswa terhadap hasil belajar mata kuliah matematika pada mahasiswa Teknologi Industri Pertanian Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Sampelnya terdiri dari 19 mahasiswa kelompok gaya belajar visual, 6 mahasiswa kelompok gaya belajar auditoral, dan 4 mahasiswa kelompok gaya belajar kinestatik. Penelitian ini berdasarkan tingkat eksplanasi merupakan penelitian asosiatif dan jenisnya adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Hubungan antara gaya belajar mahasiswa TIP dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa sangat lemah yaitu dengan korelasi sebesar 0,073. Hubungan tersebut bersifat positif, artinya terjadi hubungan searah antara variabel X dan variabel Y. Bila skor gaya belajarnya semakin kuat, maka hasil belajarnya semakin meningkat. Prosedur uji signifikasi dengan taraf signifikansi 5% didapatkan thitung= 0,38 dan ttabel = 2,052. Karena thitung ttabel maka Ho diterima. Hasil perhitungan manual menunjukan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara gaya belajar mahasiswa terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of Electronic Student Worksheets (e-Worksheets) in the Geogebra Assisted Basic Mathematics Study course to increase student learning independence. The method used in this study is a model 4-D which consists of four phases, namely the define, design, development, and the disseminate. But in this study only up to the stage of development. Data was collected through the provision of validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests after using e-Worksheets. The results of the study show that: (1) The results of the validation for GeoGebra-assisted e-Worksheets are 3.08; learning outcomes test of 2.78 and learning independence questionnaire of 3.45 by experts (validators); (2) The results of the class trial were limited to the aspect of the student response questionnaire to the Geogebra-assisted e-Worksheets obtaining a score of 78.3% while the class trial results of 76.8% met the practical criteria. (3) And the results of the class trial were limited to the aspect of the student learning outcomes test, it can be seen that the percentage of student learning completeness is 80.21% while the results of the field class trial are 78.47% which indicates that the Geogebra-assisted e-Worksheets can be said to be effective.

Abstract

Utilization of the local cultural context in learning is one form of effort to optimize learning outcomes. Cultural context can be related to the content of lessons in schools such as mathematics (ethnomathematics) and science (ethnoscience). Ethnomathematics and ethnoscience, or what is later called ethnomathscience, is an approach to learning mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology related to culture. Incorporating the potential of coastal tourism which is studied from an ethnomathscience point of view is very important in learning in order to prepare and shape the character of students who are always superior and ready to face the challenges of the times, but do not forget their ancestral heritage and are able to preserve both nature and culture. This study uses a mixed method that focuses on collecting, analyzing, and mixing qualitative and quantitative data in a single study. This research was conducted on the Madura Coast, especially in Pamekasan Regency. The research subjects were Pamekasan coastal communities, teachers, and students of Tanjung 3 Pamekasan Elementary School. The results of the study show that the Madura coast has the potential to be used as content in elementary school learning. Both teachers and students already understand the potential of the coast so that it can become the basis for contextual learning that promotes the culture of the local community. Mathematics and science content in elementary schools can be integrated with coastal culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mathematical communication skills and self-confidence in mathematics learning for fifth grade students at SDN Banyu Ajuh 06, Kamal, Banyu Ajuh, Kec. Kamal, Kab. Bangkalan on building materials. This research uses quantitative methods. The research population is all fifth grade students for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. Sampling in this study using a total sample. The research sample was 22 students. Data was collected using test questions and observation sheets. The results of the study show that 1) there is a positive relationship between mathematical communication ability and self-confidence with a moderate level of relationship, 2) that the relationship between mathematical communication ability and self-confidence is 29.4%, while 70.6% is influenced by other variables .

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between students' literacy skills and the ability to solve math story problems in class IV at SDN BULUH 1. The research approach used in this study was quantitative research with a correlational type of research. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling, namely the total sample. The research instrument used was a test sheet. Before the test instruments are used in research, they must first carry out validity tests, reliability tests, item difficulty tests, and discriminating power tests so that the test instruments used in research are appropriate for use in the data collection process. The prerequisite test used in this study is the normality test and linearity test. Test the hypothesis of this research data using the Pearson Product Moment correlation and determination test. The results of the data hypothesis test showed a significant positive relationship between students' literacy skills and the ability to solve math story problems for grade IV SDN Buluh 1. The results of data analysis using Pearson Product Moment were proven by the acquisition of rcount < rtable = 0.659 < 0.433 with the acquisition of a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05 including the interpretation of the strong category. Meanwhile, the determination test obtained a value of 43.4%. Based on the analysis it was concluded that the relationship between students' literacy skills and the ability to solve math word problems contributed 43.4%. The level of ability to solve math word problems was 43.4% influenced by students' literacy skills, while 56.6% was influenced by other factors.
