Abstract

Conservation refers to effort to explore and use natural resources wisely in order to maintain their value, quality and sustainability. Spring, an example of ground water resource, becomes major source of water for the society. Purpose of water source conservation is to maintain characteristics and function of water source, preserve environment around the water source and make sure there is ample supply of clean water now and in the future. Important aspect in water source management is participation from the society, public and private institution in water source conservation program. Efforts and appropriate water management systems to conserve water-use based on resources are more focused on determining the required components from upstream to downstream so that community-based water conservation concepts can be achieved well for sustainability for the benefit of society and environmental goals. The objectives of the study were to analyze 1) public participation, and 2) strategies for public-based water source conservation in Insana region. The study was descriptive quantitative study. Arstein ladder was used to identify public participation and SWOT analysis was used to develop the strategy. The results of the analysis show that based on the Arstein ladder, the public participation was categorized as informing. Furthermore, based on the SWOT analysis, the water source conservation strategies were conducting conservation program, minimizing social conflict, establishing regulations on conservation areas and water source preservation, conducting human resource development program for the locals.Keywords: Conservation, Insana Region, Public Participation, Water Source

Abstract

Pengelolaan terhadap sumberdaya alam menjadi point penting terutama dalam menjaga manfaat, kesinambungan dan berkelanjutan sumber alam. Potensi sumberdaya alam yang tersedia dengan pengelolaan yang baik dapat memberikan manfaat bagi kehidupan manusia. Potensi sumberdaya alam dapat menjadi daya tarik masyarakat dan dapat dijadikan sebagai tempat wisata. Kawasan Tanjung Bastian merupakan salah satu kawasan wisata yang berada di Kab. TTU. yang identik dengan pantai serta juga arena pacuan kuda dan pemandangan alam. Dalam pengelolaannya upaya mempertahankan kondisi ekologi di wisata Tanjung Bastian seperti kegiatan penanaman vegetasi diareal kawasan wisata sebagai upaya konservasi lahan sebagai regerasi vegetasi. Kelangsungan hidup vegetasi dapat tumbuh pada kondisi pertumbuhan yang stabil dan mampu bersaing dengan kondisi fisik lingkungan dan iklim yang ekstrim. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan vegetasi dan faktor-faktor penyebab kerusakan pertumbuhan vegetasi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi tanaman yang berhasil hidup sebanyak 53 tanaman yang terdiri dari 6 spesies, dengan jumlah yang hidup terbanyak terdapat pada spesies Delonix regia sebanyak 15 tanaman, dan spesies yang paling sedikit ialah spesies Senna siamea dengan jumlah 3 tanaman. Klasifikasi kriteria penilaian keberhasilan vegetasi bahwa tingkat keberhasilan vetegasi di kawasan tanjung bastian termasuk dalam kategori agak rusak dengan nilai 57,3%.ABSTRACTResources management nature becoming point to important especially in maintaining benefits, continuity and sustainable natural source.Natural resource potential available with proper management would be of avail for human life. In its management efforts to maintain ecological conditions in Tanjung Bastian tourism such as planting tourism areas as an effort to conserve land as vegetation regeneration. The survival of vegetation can grow in stable growth conditions and be able to compete with extreme environmental and climatic conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the success rate of vegetation and the factors causing damage to vegetation growth. Based on the results of observation plants who succeeded life 53 a plant consisting of 6 species with the numbers of life most there are to a species Delonix regia as many as 15 plants and the least species is Senna siamea with 3 plants. The classification of the assessment criteria vegetation that the level of success of success in the vetegasi tanjung bastian included in a category in quite poor repair the % 57,3.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and identify the types of Lichenes that exist at the Mutis Mount Area, Noepesu Village, West Miomaffo District, and the Biology Education Laboratory, University of Timor. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from May-October 2022. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Sampling used a purposive sampling method. The collected Lichenes were identified based on their characteristics using the determination key and then matched with the photo collection. Morphological observation of lichenes was conducted at the Biology Education Laboratory, University of Timor using a microscope. The result of observations and collections based on this research conducted in the Mutis Mount area found 29 species of Lichenes with 12 families, the species found were Septennium azureum, Parmotrema tinctorum, Parmotrema perlatum, Parmelia sulcate, Parmelia sp, Flavoparmelia afternoondians, Usnea hirta, Usnea sp 1, Pyxine subcinerea, Cryptothecia sp, Dirinaria sp, Lepraria Lobificans, Lepraria incana, Lepraria sp 1, Hydropunctaria maura, Candelariella sp, Arthonia ilicina, Arthonia Radiata, Arthonia Clemens, Graphis Scipta, Graphis sp1, Graphis sp2, Graphis sp3, Graphis sp4, Graphis sp5, Graphis sp6, Ramalina farinaceae, Cryptothechia striata, and Bacidia insularis. Lichenes were found in soil, weathered wood, tree trunks, and rocks with thallus morphology, namely Crustose, Foliose, Fructicose, and Squamulose.

Abstract

Bentuk pembelajaran alternatif yang dapat dilaksanakan selama masa pendemi Covid-19 adalah pembelajaran secara daring dengan bantuan media aplikasi online. Penggunaan media daring dengan dukungan perangkat mobile seperti smart phone, tablet dan laptop membuat proses pembelajaran dapat dijangkau sehingga guru dan peserta didik dapat mengakses informasi tentang proses pembelajaran dimana saja dan kapan saja.Berbagai aplikasi online juga dapat digunakan untuk mendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran secara online misalnya kelas-kelas virtual menggunakan layanan Google Classroom, Edmodo, dan Schoology aplikasi pesan instan seperti WhatsApp), dan melalui media sosial seperti Youtube, Facebook dan Instagram. Hal ini didukung dengan penelitian Zhang, dkk,2004 bahwa penggunaan internet dan teknologi multimedia mampu merubah cara penyampaian konsep dan dapat menjadi alternative pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dalam kelas tradisional. Banyak kendala yang dihadapi para guru khususnya di SMA Negeri 1 Tasifeto Barat terutama dalam hal persiapan untuk menghadapi peralihan metode pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran daring. Mereka tidak berpikir secepat ini harus menggunakan pembelajaran secara daring. Kurangnya pemahaman tentang pembelajaran daring melalui aplikasi seperti Whatsapp, google classroom, Edmodo dan aplikasi lainnya ini menyebabkan pembelajaran secara daring di sekolah ini tidak berjalan secara optimal. Dengan demikian perlu adanya sosialisasi dan pelatihanterhadap para staf pengajar khususnya di SMA Negeri 1 Tasifeto Barat agar mereka dapat memahami penerapan aplikasi pembelajaran daring secara optimal selama masa pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Coral fish is a group of animals associated with coral reefs. Reef fish can easily be found in various microhabitats on coral reefs. This study aims to determine the diversity of reef fish species in the intertidal zone of Kondang Merak beach. Observations were made using the underwater visual census method. Observations were made by following a 100 m long transect line with a visibility of 2.5 m to the left and right. The research location points consist of 6 stations at a depth of 1-3 m with a distance of 100 m each station. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there are 29 species of reef fish in the intertidal zone of the Kondang Merak coast, belonging to 15 families, and a category of high species diversity with a diversity index value of 3.239.
