Abstract

This paper explores the contestation between Puritanism and traditionalism in Muslim communities focused oncase studies on the East Coast of Aceh by groups in urban religious recitation. The article addressing to the subject so far concludes that fundamentalism and traditionalism are two theological forces that are constantly in conflict with each other.This paper seeks to demonstrate that while interactions between the two groups are affected by doctrinal disputes, the two culturesare fairly effective in managing diversity, such that disparities in religious beliefs do not result in group tension and mass abuse.The data used in this research were collected through participatory evaluation, in-depth interviews and literature studies.Finally, this paper shows that the Acehnese people's ability to care for tolerance, although it seems clear that the practical tolerance practiced by the people who are the subjects of this research has been redefined and contextualized in line with the situation of a community dominated by traditionalist Muslim groups.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang metode pengajaran Educational Tour sebagai media untuk menumbuh-kembangkan daya spiritual anak didik. Selama ini kegiatan Educational Tour hanya difungsikan sebagai ajang berwisata bagi anak didik. Mereka menikmati keindahan alam setelah mengalami kejenuhan belajar selama di bangku sekolah. Padahal, alam semesta ini sendiri diciptakan Allah Swt dengan sangat teratur, harmoni, dan seimbang, yang menunjukkan kehebatan kekuasaan dan pengaturan-Nya atas alam semesta. Individu yang mau memperhatikan, merenungkan, dan memikirkan alam semesta akan mendapati daya spiritual di dalamnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah library research, dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analitis. Hasil pembahasan menyimpulkan bahwa Educational Tour yang dilakukan secara baik dan terencana akan menjadi media konstruktif untuk menumbuhkan spiritualitas anak didik. Hasil penggunaan metode Educational Tour adalah anak didik selain memiliki pengetahuan teoritis tentang fenomena alam, juga memiliki kesadaran adanya suatu kekuatan yang tak terlihat (Tuhan) di balik fenomena tersebut, merasakan pengalaman spiritual, terdorong memiliki sikap dan perilaku yang baik, serta memiliki tekad dan motivasi untuk semakin mendekatkan diri pada Tuhan (Allah Swt).

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan menjelaskan tentang konsep al-Qur'an tentang relasi sosial. Relasi atau hubungan sosial merupakan salah satu tema yang sangat penting dalam al-Qur'an. Seorang muslim yang baik adalah yang mampu menjaga hubungan baik dengan sesama manusia (hablu min an-nas) dan hubungan baik dengan Tuhannya (hablu min Allah). Orang yang mampu berinteraksi dan menjaga hubungan baik dengan masyarakat adalah indikator dari hubungan baiknya dengan Tuhan. Sebaliknya orang yang bermasalah dalam hubungan sosial, menjadi indikator dari tidak baiknnya hubungan dengan Tuhan. Al-Qur'an memberikan sinyal yang jelas bahwa kesuksesan hidup manusia sangat tergantung kepada kemampuan dalam membina dua hubungan tersebut. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode tafsir tematik (maudu'i). Dalam menjelaskan ayat-ayat tentang relasi sosial, penulis merujuk kepada penafsiran para ulama dalam berbagai karya tafsir mereka. Ada beberapa prinsip utama relasi sosial dalam al-Qur'an, antara lain: menyambung tali silaturrahmi dan memperkuat persaudaraan (ukhuwah), saling tolong menolong (ta'awun), berani menegakkan kebenaran dan mencegah kejahatan (amar ma'ruf dan nahi munkar), bersikap klarifikatif (tabbayyun), berpikir positif (positive thinking) dan tidak mencari-cari kesalahan (tajassus), peduli kepada kaum yang lemah (du'afa), bermusyawarah (syura), memahami perbedaan (ta'uruf), dan toleransi (tasumuh) kepada nonmuslim.

Abstract

Women have always been an interesting topic to discuss, and the discussion of women gets a sizable portion in the Qur'an. But unfortunately, there are still some narrow views in patriarchal culture that discriminate against women. This paper aims to highlight and analyze in depth the virtues and privileges of women in the Qur'an, which so far are still considered as subordinates. The method used in this study is a library research method with a semantic approach, this approach is used to examine the verses of the Qur'an related to the privileges of women and who the women mentioned in the Qur'an are. The results showed several women mentioned in the Qur'an Maryam, Fatât Madyan, Imara'atu Fir'ûn, Malika Saba', Imra'atu Imran, Maryam bint Imran and Khaulah bint Tha'labah. Their stories in the Koran confirm that women have excelled in both spiritual and professional careers, and that their strengths aren't domination by one gender. This argument gives a different perspective that women also have equal opportunities to achieve, do good, and enter the political, leadership, social and economic spheres.

Abstract

As the initial gateway for the entry of Islam to the archipelago, Aceh stores much historical information on the spread and development of Islamic teachings. One of the interesting things to study is the development of the field of the Qur'anic exegesis which has experienced rapid development throughout the history of the spread of Islamic teachings in Aceh. By doing a literature study and descriptive analysis method. The result is that the development of the Qur'anic exegesis in Aceh is divided into three periodizations. First, the classical period in which the teaching of the Qur'an did not stand alone but was inserted between the teaching of fiqh and Sufism and delivered ijmali (global) by preachers from Arabia and India. Second, the middle period in which educated Acehnese began to study in Mecca and Medina so that they were proficient in religious knowledge so that the Malay the Qur'anic exegesis of Tarjumān al-Mustafīd by Abdurrauf al-Sinkily was born. Third, the modern period where at this time the works of commentary in Aceh began to develop rapidly, including Al-Qur'ānul Majīd An-Nūr written by Muhammad Hasbi ash-Shiddieqy, Al-Qur'ānul Karīm and Free Translation of Rhymes by Tengku Mahyiddin Yusuf, Tafsir Gayo by Abdurrahman Daudy, and Tafsir Pasee by TH Thalhas, Hasan Basri, Zaki Fuad, A. Mufakhir Muhammad, and Mustafa Ibrahim.
