Abstract

The culture was always close to the society and it became their habits in daily life. It would either consciously or unconsciously be derived from their next generations. That was why every community would always have their own culture. West Papua was an example of the Eastern part of Indonesia that was resided by various ethnics groups. In this concern, it would extremely lead to the acculturation of their culture in many aspects. This research aimed to describe the forms of acculturations happened in West Papua between local people and the immigrants and describe how it influenced society. This research was an ethnography research that would be described qualitatively. The study shows that the social diversity in West Papua became a gap for acculturation to their culture. The forms of acculturations were a substitution, syncretism, addition, origination, deculturation, and denial. The cultural acculturations made the society in West Papua could live side by side and they still carried out their respective cultures.

Abstract

Budaya melekat dan menjadi kebiasaan sehingga akan selalu diterapkan dari generasi ke generasi. Oleh karena itu, setiap kelompok masyarakat akan memiliki budayanya masing-masing. Seiring dengan perkembangan jaman, sekelompok masyarakat mulai terbiasa hidup dengan kelompok masyarakat yang lain. Dengan demikian, akan sangat memungkinkan untuk terjadinya proses akulturasi. Sama halnya dengan wilayah lain di Indonesia yang sering dijadikan sebagai tempat menetap, Papua Barat juga didiami oleh masyarakat berasal dari berbagai macam suku. Sehingga akulturasi banyak ditemukan di sini. Papua Barat juga merupakan contoh wilayah Indonesia Timur yang didalamnya terdapat banyak kader Muhammadiyah dan gerakan Muhammadiyah pun sudah cukup berkembang di wilayah ini. Dalam hal ini, akan sangat memungkinkan terjadinya akulturasi kegiatan keagamaan gerakan Muhammadiyah dengan budaya masyarakat muslim yang ada di Papua Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk akulturasi Kemuhammadiyahan dan budaya Papua dalam kehidupan masyarakat muslim. Akulturasi yang dideskripsikan adalah akulturasi yang terjadi pada perilaku sosial dan perilaku keagamaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan Sosiokultural. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, kuesioner dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis isi yang dikemukakan oleh Spradley (2007). Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa bentuk akulturasi yang ditemukan dikategorikan dalam subtitusi, sinkretisme, adisi, originasi dan dekulturasi.  Culture is attached and become a custom. It would be passed from generation to generation. Every group of society would have their own culture. Along with the times, one group began to be used to live with others. Thus, it would be possible to have acculturation in it. As well as other part of Indonesia that become a place to live, West Papua also inhabited by various tribes. As a result, acculturation would be frequently found in West papua. West Papua is also one of region where Islamic Organization, Muhammadiyah, develops well. In this case, it would be possible for acculturation between Muhammadiyah concept and West Papua culture happened. This study aims to describe the form of acculturations between Muhammadiyah concept and West Papua culture in their social and religious behavior. This study is a qualitative descriptive study with sociocultural approach. The data of this study was collected by observation, questionnaire and interview. The obtained data was analyzed using content analysis of Spradley (2007). Result showed that the form of acculturations between Muhammadiyah concept and West papua culture were categorized into substitution, syncretism, addition, deculturation, origination, and refusal.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um020v12i22017p166

Abstract

The study about linguistic in Papua with English were analyzed How the word arrange in Positive, negative and Interrogative sentences. This study is about Active Voice in Moi language. The researcher attempted to find some Active sentences in Moi language and try to analysis. She also classified the verb based on the subject and also explains the uniqueness by words. This study used descriptive linguistic research to analyze. The researcher offered numerous recommendations and suggestions.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe whether or not fishbowl technique can improve students’ speaking of tenth grade of IPS 1 in SMA N 2 Sorong Regency. In this study, the researcher conducted the quantitative research using the method pre-experimental design type of the one group pre-test. Therefore, the researcher took 30 students as the sample from the population. The researcher used SPSS Analysis Version 20.0, the researcher gave the interpretation towards “t” score by comparing t-value with t-table. The researcher interpretation that t-value is 3.048 with the significance value is 0.05. The score of t-table is 2.045 with the significance level of 0.05 with df 29. P-value is 0.0005 < 0.05, it is known that t-value > t-table ( 3.048 > 2.045 ). Meanwhile, the alternative (H1) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It means that using fishbowl technique can improve students speaking skill at the tenth of SMAN 2 Sorong Regency. But this technique is not effective towards students’ speaking skill, because it is not achieve score of KKM that is > 68.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out whether a tree diagram technique is effective or not in teaching vocabulary at seventh grade in MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Aimas. Related to the objective of the research used pre- experimental quantitative research design. The design of this research is one group pretest- posttest. The population of this research was seventh grade students divide two classes that were VII A and VII B and the total them are 24 students. Based on purposive sampling, the researcher chosed seventh B grade and which total are 18 students because the class is lack of vocabulary so the low score. In the collecting the data, the researcher used 20 items multiple choice for pretest and posttest. In analyzed the data, the researcher used SPSS 20 program to calculation the data.The result finding of the research showed that the result of N-gain is (58.46) or (58%) the categorized was quiet effective. In addition to result of T-test is P value (0.000) < α (0.05), it means that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The alternative hyphothesis (Ha) was there is an effective in teaching vocabulary using tree diagram between pretest and posttest. And also , it can be seen from the mean score from the posttest was (45.83) improved on posstest ( 77.50). It can be concluded that tree diagram technique in teaching vocabulary were effective in teaching vocabulary.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengkaji pengaruh model pembelajaran multiple intelligence untuk meningkatkan teaching efficacy belief dan aktualisasi diri mahasiswa STKIP Muhammadiyah Sorong. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 40 mahasiswa Program Studi PJKR dan Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris yang terdiri dari 20 mahasiswa di kelas kontrol dan 20 mahasiswa di kelas eksperimen. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan randomized pre-post test control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan parametric tes (t-tes) dalam menganalisis datanya. Instrument dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan skala TEB-AD dengan koefisien cronbach alfa sebesar 0,829. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara multiple intelligence terhadap skor skala TEB-AD. Rata-rata TEB-AD dalam kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada nilai di kelas kontrol (te > ttabel = 0,338 > -2,334). Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran multiple intelligence dapat menjadi salah satu model pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan teaching efficacy belief dan aktualisasi diri mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh media flashcard terhadap penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas III SD Inpres 109 Perumnas Kota Sorong. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media flashcard sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas III SD Inpres 109 Perumnas Kota Sorong. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 10 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi kegiatan proses belajar, tes (pretest-posttest) dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data terdiri atas deskripsi data, uji normalitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil uji reliabilitas instrumen pretest diperoleh 0,926 dan hasil uji reliabilitas instrumen posttest diperoleh 0,791. Dari analisis data diperoleh uji normalitas Shapiro-wilk dari data pretest 0,501 dan posttest 0,087. Maka kedua data tersebut diperoleh data normal. Dari teknis analisis data nilai mean pretest 60,00 dan nilai mean posttest 82,50. Hasil uji One Sample t-test diperoleh nilai thitung > ttabel atau 17,542 > 2,262 dan hasil sig (2-teiled) < ttabel atau 0,000 < 0,05 maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak, sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapt pengaruh pengaruh media flashcard terhadap penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas III SD Inpres 109 Perumnas Kota Sorong.
