Abstract

Ketersediaan pakan dari segi kualitas dan kuantitas maupun kontinuitas sangat berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan suatu usaha peternakan karena pakan merupakn input produksi yang terbesar. Isi Rumen Sapi merupakan limbah dari Rumah Potong Hewan yang masih mengandung saliva, mikroba anaerob, selullosa, hemisellulosa, protein , lemak dan karbohidrat, mineral dan vitamin yang belum dicerna dengan sempurna dalam rumen sapi. Penelitian tentang isi rumen kering yang difermentasi dengan effective microorganism-4 (EM-4) telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana pengaruh pemberian EM-4 terhadap daya cerna in vitro bahan kering dan bahan organic serta kandungan protein kasar dan serat kasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 kali ulangan. dengan persentase pemberian EM-4 yaitu 0 cc/ liter air, 1 cc/ liter air, 3 cc/ liter air, 4 cc/ liter air dan 5 cc/ liter air. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (p<0.01) terhadap dayacerna in vitro bahan kering ,bahan organic serta kandungan protein kasar dan serat kasar isi rumen sapi. Rataan kandungan protein kasar isi rumen sapi yang telah difermentasu dengan EM-4 adalah 0 cc = 7,05%; 1 cc = 8,28%; 2 cc = 8,02%, 3 cc = 8,29%; 4 cc = 8,15%; dan 5 cc = 8,28%, sedangkan untuk serat kasar dari 0 cc, 1 cc, 2 cc, 3 cc, 4 cc da 5 cc masing-masing 35,16%; 27,48%; 27,15%; 28,02%; 29,29%; dan 30,68%. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa fermentasi isi rumen sapi dengan EM-4 dapat meningkatkan dayacerna invitro bahan kering , bahan organic pada konsentarsi 2 cc sedangkan peningkatan kandungan protein kasar dan penurunan kandungan serat kasar isi rumen, pada pemberian EM-4 sebanyak 3 cc/ liter air.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to find out how much antioxidant content combination maggot (Hermetia illucens), turmeric (Curcuma domestica) and Indigofera zollingeriana to be used as an alternative feed additive for poultry. This study used a complete randomized design with 6 treatments 3 replays using DPPH method with treatment P0 vitamin C (positive control), P1 (2,5% turmeric + 5% Indigofera + 25% larva BSF), P2 (2,5% turmeric+ 10% Indigofera + 20% larva BSF), P3 (2,5% turmeric + 15% Indigofera + 15% larva BSF), P4 (2,5% turmeric + 20% Indigofera + 10% larva BSF), P5 (2.5% turmeric + 25% Indigofera + 5% larva BSF). The observed parameters are antioxidant activity using orthogonal contrast tests and orthogonal polynomial tests. The results showed that the treatment had a very real effect (P<0.01) on antioxidant activity. Orthogonal contrast test results showed that the treatment of P0 (control) with the treatment of P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5 had a very noticeable effect (P<0.01) on antioxidant activity. Further tests of orthogonal polynomials showed that the highest antioxidant was in the P5 treatment (2,5% turmeric + 25% Indigofera + 5% larva BSF) 115.67%. It was concluded that a combination of  25% larva BSF (Hermetia illucens), 2,5% turmeric (Curcuma domestica) and 5% Indigofera zollingeriana can be used as an alternative feed additive source of antioxidants for poultry livestock. Abstract

Vegetable waste can be used as ruminant animal feed because it is abundantly available and has economic value, the price is cheap and does not compete with human needs, besides that it can reduce environmental pollution. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of crude protein and crude fiber in market vegetable waste as an alternative feed with the addition of EM4. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method which consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results of this study were the addition of EM4 and molasses gave a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the crude protein content of vegetable waste (cabbage, mustard greens, corn husks). The highest protein content was in treatment P0 and P1 with an average value of 19.28 and the lowest crude protein content was found in treatment P2, namely 17.19 and P3 with a value of 17.73, while the effect was not significant (P<0, 05) on the crude fiber content of vegetable waste (cabbage, mustard greens, corn husks) with the addition of EM4 and molasses with the lowest average value at P0 of 18.72 and the highest average value of P2 being 21.26. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the addition of 10% EM4 and molasses in market vegetable waste (cabbage, mustard greens, corn husks) can reduce crude protein content and increase crude fiber.
