Penerapan Model Contextual Teaching Learning Berbantuan Komika (Komik Matematika) untuk Siswa Sekolah Dasar Tika Aprilia

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes in grade V at SDN Gajahmungkur 02 Semarang. This research was a classroom action research conducted in 3 cycles, each cycle consists of two meetings. The results showed that: (1) teacher skills in the first cycle score was 35,5 (good); in the second cycle score was 43,5 (very good); and in the third cycle score was 47 (very good), (2) students’ activity in the first cycle score was 28,2 (good); in the second cycle score was 31,2 (very good); and in the third cycle score was 34,8 (very good), (3) learning ambiance in first cycle obtained 5,5 (good); in the second cycle got  6,5 (very good); and in the third cycle reached 7,5 (very good), (4) learning material in first cycle obtained 6 (very good); in the second cycle got 6,5 (very good); and in the third cycle reached 8 (very good), (5) learning media in first cycle obtained 8 (good); in the second cycle got 10 (very good); and in the third cycle reached 12 (very good), (6) learning result of students’ learning outcome in first cycle obtained 69,2%; in the second cycle got 76,9%; and in the third cycle reached 88,5%. Thus, the application of the contextual teaching learning model assisted by mathematics comic media can improve student learning outcomes.  Keywords: Contextual Teaching Learning, Mathematical Comics, Student Learning Outcomes, Elementary School========================================================================================================Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas V SDN Gajahmungkur 02 Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan 3 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) keterampilan guru siklus I skornya 35,5 (baik), siklus II skornya 43,5 (sangat baik), siklus III skornya 47 (sangat baik), (2) aktivitas siswa siklus I skornya 28,2 (baik), siklus II skornya 31,2 (baik), siklus III skornya 34,8 (sangat baik), (3) iklim pembelajaran siklus I skornya 5,5 (baik), siklus II 6,5 (sangat baik), siklus III 7,5 (sangat baik), (4) materi pembelajaran siklus I skornya 6 (sangat baik), siklus II 6,5 (sangat baik), siklus III 8 (sangat baik), (5) media pembelajaran siklus I skornya 8 (baik), siklus II 10 (sangat baik), siklus III 12 (sangat baik), (6) hasil belajar siklus I memperoleh ketuntasan belajar 69,2%, siklus II 76,9%, siklus III 88,5%. Dengan demikian penerapan model contextual teaching learning berbantuan media komik matematika dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: Contextual Teaching Learning, Komik Matematika, Hasil Belajar Siswa, Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan media sains flipbook berbasis kontekstual dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan yaitu desain true-experimental berupa post-test only control group design. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari kelas V-1 SDN Mangkubumen Lor sebanyak 26 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen, sedangkan kelas kontrolnya yaitu kelas VA SDN Cemara Dua sebanyak 26 siswa. Pemilihan sampel sekolah dasar tersebut dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa butir soal tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang disusun berdasarkan integrasi antara indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan domain kemampuan kognitif dalam taksonomi Bloom yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas butir soal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan media sains flipbook berbasis kontekstual (88,12) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan buku paket IPA pada umumnya (75,31). Hasil uji independen sample t-test diperoleh signifikansi 0,000 0,05 artinya H0 ditolak menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media sains flipbook berbasis kontekstual dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media buku cetak atau paket IPA. Skor nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan media sains flipbook berbasis kontekstual lebih tinggi daripada skor nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang hanya menggunakan media buku paket IPA. Namun dalam penggunaan media sains flipbook berbasis kontekstual ini sangat membutuhkan sarana prasarana atau fasilitas sekolah yang memadai. The Effectiveness of the Use of Flipbook Science Media Based on Contextual to Improve Critical Thinking Ability of StudentsThis study aims at determining the effect of flipbook science media base on contextual to enhance critical thinking skills for students of class V in elementary schools. This research is quantitative research by using the experimental method. The experiment design used is a true-experiment design in the form of a post-test-only control group design. The sample of this study is a V-1 class of Mangkubumen Lor state elementary school with as many as 26 students as the experiment class, while the control class was VA class of the Cemara Dua state elementary school as many as 26 students. The selection of the three elementary school samples was done by purposive sampling. The instrument used is a form of test items at determining students' critical thinking skills compiled based on the integration between indicators of critical thinking skills with the domain of cognitive abilities in Bloom's taxonomy that had been tested for validity and reliability of the items. The results of this study indicate that the average value of students learning outcome using flipbook science media base on contextual (88.12) is higher than the average value of students learning outcome using natural science textbooks (75.31). The results of the independent sample t-test obtained a significance of 0.000 0.05, meaning that H0 is rejected, indicating that there is a value of students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class using flipbook science media base on contextual with the control class using science textbooks media or science packages. Scores the value of the critical thinking ability of students using flipbook science media base on contextual is higher than the value of the critical thinking ability of students only using the science textbooks media. However, the use of flipbook science media base on contextual really requires adequate school infrastructure or facilities.

Abstract

This regional development has been carried out in the field of education, where education plays a role in developing the potential and competence of human resources who can develop their area through critical, creative thinking, and innovative works for the progress of the region. Elementary schools in Mlati district, Sleman Regency are the potential area to be advanced because of the access and education network that is quite supportive. In contrast, there are many teachers who have not been able to use these facilities in their classrooms. Most elementary school teachers in Kapanewon Mlati have not optimized the independent teaching platform that has been provided by the government, they still use videos from Youtube as teaching materials. Meanwhile, creative teachers must have the ability to develop learning strategies and teaching materials independently. Therefore, the purpose of this community service program is to improve services in the field of education to the local community through training that assists teachers in the development of learning strategies and teaching materials in the application of independent learning according to the demands of the curriculum in elementary schools. The results of the training showed that participants' understanding of video-based learning and independent teaching platforms increased before and after conducted the training. In the cognitive aspect, the average score of participants before training (pretest) was 45 and after the training (posttest) increased to 89. Meanwhile, from the aspect of skills in making learning videos, 85% or 28 participants from a total of 30 training participants have been able to make learning videos with PPT, Zoom meetings, and Bandicam applications. In detail, the number of participants who make learning videos with applications in the form of PPT is 10 participants (30% of the number of participants), zoom meetings 10 participants (30% of the number of participants),  and 8 participants for Bandicam (25% of the total participants).

Abstract

The global Covid-19 pandemic has had a variety of impacts on the education sector including the deepening of the learning process. The college has transformed initially face-to-face learning activities into distance learning using online learning platform. However, the design of the platform used is still less varied from the type of media and learning applications, where lectures should be able to provoke motivation and the active role of students. This research aims to find out the feasibility results of interactive multimedia and online quiz based on integrated gamification learning system in supporting thematic learning courses. This study used a research and development approach, specifically the ADDIE development model design by Branch (2009). The research subjects are 2nd semester students who will take Thematic Learning courses in Elementary School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta and  Universitas PGRI Palembang. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis. The results showed that the validation results of media experts obtained a score of 3.88 with good categories and material expert validation obtained a score of 3.89 with a good category. Then the results of student responses to interactive multimedia products and online quiz based gamification at the time of the limited trial which included one to one trial obtained a score of 3.50 with a good category, small group trail obtained a score of 3.69 with a good category, and the field trial received a score of 3.95 with an very good category. Thus interactive multimedia and online quiz based gamification integrated LMS in thematic learning courses are said to be feasible and can be used in increasing student motivation and interaction in the lecture process.

Abstract

Teachers are required to have adequate technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) in supporting distance learning. The purpose of this study is to prove validity of instrument content 1) to identify the elementary school teachers’ towards the use of TPACK, and 2) the use of TPACK in distance learning. The two instruments in this study were developed into 7 indicators. This research method is a descriptive research method using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Where the results of proving the validity of the contents were carried out by experts and analyzed using Aiken's V formula with a minimum standard of V Aiken is ≥ 0.88. The results showed that the coefficient of validity of the contents of 30 aitems in the teacher's belief instrument against TPACK there were 28 aitems that were declared valid with a value of ≥ 0.82, while the instrument of use of TPACK in distance learning obtained for the coefficient of validity of the contents of 30 aitems there were 24 aitems that were declared valid with a ≥ value of 0.76. Therefore, this instrument can be used to identify the elementary school teachers’ belief in Indonesia and Malaysia towards TPACK and its use in distance learning
