Abstract

This research was done to identifiy Brahman cross (BX) cow as candidate of twinning embryo transfer recipient. However, BX cow oftenly reported low in reproduction performance especially from cattle farmer. The conditionwas assumed related to its management and feeding system. Body score condition (BCS) was one of quality parameters in cow. Therefore, enhancement of BCS through management improvement and probiotic BIOPLUS suplementation on BX cows would increase quality of twinning embryo transfer recipient candidate.Identification of production system, body score condition and reproduction organ of twenty BX cow were held in SidomulyoVillage, Banyuasin I District and Banyuasin Regency. Improvement on management production and suplementation of Probiotic BIOPLUS were done for 2 months. The result shows that only 13 of 20 cows were fulfill the requirement of twinning embryo transfer recipient candidate with body score condition were 3-4, 21-24 days of estrous cycle and improvement on reproduction organ performance.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi calon induk resipien transfer embrio kembar. Namun, induk sapi BX sering kali dilaporkan memiliki performans reproduksi yang rendah, terutama yang dipelihara oleh peternak rakyat. Hal ini diduga berkaitan dengan system pemeliharaan dan pemberian pakan. Nilai Kondisi Tubuh (NKT) adalah salah satu parameter kualitas induk. Peningkatan NKT melalui perbaikan manajemen dan suplementasi probiotik BIOPLUS pada induk BX diharapkan akan meningkatkan kualitas calon induk resipien transfer embrio kembar. Dua puluh ekor induk BX yang ada di Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Banyuasin I Kabupaten Banyuasin diidentifikasi sistem produksi, NKT dan organ reproduksinya. Perlakuan perbaikan manajemen produksi dan suplementasi probiotik BIOPLUS dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya 13 dari 20 induk BX yang memenuhi persyaratan sebagai calon resipien transfer embrio kembar dengan rataan NKT 3-4, siklus berahi 21- 24 hari dan perbaikan pada kesehatan organ reproduksi.Keywords: BX cow, twinning cattle, embryo transfer, probiotic.

Abstract

Palm midrib that was one of all agroindustries unused. It could be pontential as animal feeding. It could used as animal feeding with made it Complete Feed Block (CFB). This research aimed to study the fermentation of  palm  midrib in complete feed block (CFB) on the quality of degestibility in vitro. The research was conducted three phases, the first phase of the fermentation of  palm  midrib grounding  with White Root Fungy, the second stage of the manufacture of complete feed block (CFB) and the third stage of the proximate analysis and digestibility analysis, The research was in  Nutrition  and animal feeding  Laboratory,  Agriculture Faculty, Srivijaya University. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two treatments and five replications consisting of Formula 1 and Formula 2, the parameters were observed dry matter, crude fiber, crude protein, Extract Either, BETN, dry matter digestibility coefficients, organic matter digestibility coefficients and the concentration of N-NH 3. The result of CFB formulation  were formula 1 TDN: crude protein (47.32%: 13.93%), formula 2 (48.41%: 7.96%), where the results of proximate analysis showed F1: 98.66% DM, LK 13:19%, 7:03% PK, SK 35.79%, 40.24% BETN, and F2: 98.41% DM, LK 16:43%, PK 6.25%  SK 24.06%, 49.50% BETN. Formulations showed that all treatments influence  non significantly (p> 0.05),  organic matter digestibility (85.00% vs. 85.70%), dry matter digestibility (59.42% vs. 59.62% vs. 16.72%) and the concentration of N-NH 3 (2.2% versus 1.8 %). The conclusion of this study is the complete feed block (CFB) can be used as a ruminant animal feeding, but should pay attention to aspects of quality and palatability.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the digestibility of rice straw that supplemented with Zn Lysinate by  in vitro techniques. This research was held in laboratory of Animal Feed and Nutrition, Departement of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture,  Sriwijaya University. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatment and four replications, were used : P0 (rice straw control),  P1 (rice straw with Zn Lysinate 0,1%), P2 (rice straw with Zn Lysinate 0,2%),  P3 (rice straw with Zn Lysinate 0,3%). Observed parameters were dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibity (OMD), and N-ammonia concentration.The result showed  that the highest dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility and N-amonia were on M0 treatment ; 33,86%, 44,94%, 1,50mM respectively. Supplementation of  Zn Lysinate for rice straw had  effect on Dry Matter Digestibility (DMD), but had no effect on Organic Matter Digestibity (OMD) and N-Amonia concentration.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKualitas fisik silase akan menentukan kuantitas konsumsi ransum pada sapi potong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas fisik silase pakan berbahan dasar rumput gajah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Maret 2017 di Laboratorium Lapangan Kandang Percobaan Program Studi Peternakan dan Laboratorim Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari P0: 50% daun rumput gajah + 50% batang rumput gajah, P1: 100% daun rumput gajah + EM-4, P2: 100% batang rumput gajah + EM-4, dan P3: (50% daun rumput gajah + 50% batang rumput gajah) + EM-4. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi aroma, warna, tekstur dan pH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proporsi bagian tanaman tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap karakteristik warna dan tekstur silase rumput gajah (Pennisetum Purpureum), namun berpengaruh terhadap karakteristik aroma dan nilai pH pada taraf (P<0,05). Proporsi bagian tanaman mempengaruhi kualitas fisik silase tanaman bagian daun dibandingkan bagian batang.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Studies on the value of swamp forage digestion have been widely conducted, but information about the pattern and rate of degradation of swamp forage is still low. The study aims to evaluate the pattern of hemicellulose degradation of swamp grass in swamp buffalo in Sacco. The study was conducted using Complete Random Design with six treatments and three replications as follows: Rumput Bento Rayap (RBR), Rumput Kumpai Minyak (RKM), Rumput Kumpai Tembaga (RKT), Rumput Kumpai Padi (RKP), Rumput Sendayan (RSN) dan Rumput Purun Tikus (RPT). The observed parameter is the pattern of hemicellulose degradation of swamp grass. The results showed different degradation patterns in six types of swamp grass (p<0.05). Fraction A, Rumput Bento Rayap has the highest score (38.60%) compared to other treatments, and a fraction, b was founded in Rumput Kumpai Padi (19.93 %). Meanwhile, the highest fraction c value was founded in Rumput Sendayan (0.35 %hours) but is no different when compared to Rumput Purun Tikus (0.32 %hours). The highest total digestibility value at incubation period 6 – 48 hours (P-value) was founded in the treatment of Rumput Purun Tikus (333.06 %). Based on the results of this study can be concluded that Rumput Purun tikus has the best digestibility value compared to the other six types of swamp grass.

(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang 20 Oktober 2021. pp. 219-227.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). This study aims was to determine the degradation pattern of crude protein content of Kumpai minyak (Hymenachne amplexicaulis), Kumpai tembaga (Hymenachne acutigluma), Sendayan (Rhinchospora corymbosa) and Bento rayap This research was conducted from February to July 2020 at the Animal Nutrition and Forage Laboratory, Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research was conducted by in sacco method using a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The parameter observed was the degradation of crude protein by in sacco using a fistulated Pampangan swamp buffalo. Based on the results of the study showed that the value of crude protein degradability was significantly different (P<0.05) on each grass evaluated. The value of fraction a was the fraction easily degraded with the highest value of crude protein degradability found on Kumpai minyak (37.15%); the value of fraction b was the slow degraded fraction, the lowest value was on Sendayan (17.12%) and the value of c was the rate degradation fraction b with the highest value found on Bento rayap (0.13%).The highest degradation value during 48 hour incubation period was found on Kumpai Minyak grass (60.04%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas silase serbuk pelepah kelapa sawit yang diperkaya dengan mineral Znsecara In Vitro. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan percobaan yaitu serbuk pelepah kelapa sawit tanpa penambahan mineral sebagai kontrol (P0), kemudian serbuk pelepah kelapa sawit yang ditambahkan dengan mineral Zn 1% (P1), dan serbuk pelepah kelapa sawit yang ditambahkan mineral Zn 3% (P3), secara In Vitro (saliva buatan). Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah konsentrasi VFA parsial, NH3, dan Protein Mikrobial. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap, jika terdapat perbedaan perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian mineral Zn pada pelepah kelapa sawit tidak berbeda nyata atau tidak dapat meningkatkan kualitas serbuk pelepah kelapa sawit pada konsentrasi asam propionat, asam butirat, NH3, dan protein mikrobia, tetapi pada asam asetat. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi mineral Zn pada serbuk pelepah sawit tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kualitas fermentasi secara In Vitro.Kata kunci: In Vitro, NH3, Pelepah Kelapa Sawit, VFA, Protein Mikrobial.
