<![CDATA[Tujuan penyusunan artikel ialah untuk mengetahui dan mengindentifikasi bentuk perlindungan hukum terhadap pembajakan karya sinematografi yang berupa film dan web series pada sebuah grup chat di aplikasi pengirim pesan yaitu aplikasi telegram. Penulisan riset ini memakai metode riset hukum normatif serta dengan memakai pendekatan peraturan undang-undang yang berlaku (statute approach) serta Pendekatan permasalahan kasus yang terjadi (case approach). Adapun hasil dalam penelitian ini ialah para pihak yang melakukan pembajakan dalam penggandaan dan menyebarluaskan hasil karya cipta intelektual seseorang telah melakukan perbuatan yang melanggar hukum dan melanggar hak-hak dari pemilik hak cipta, baik itu hak ekonomi dan hak moral. Pihak-pihak yang melakukan pembajakan tersebut agar ditindak berdasarkan dengan ketentuan hukum yang berlaku tentang hak cipta, mendapat sanksi tegas, serta melalui menkominfo dapat bertindak untuk memblokir grup-grup chat di aplikasi telegram agar film dan web series tidak beredar tanpa izin dari pemilik hak cipta. The purpose of making article is to find and identify the form of legal protection against piracy of cinematographic works in the form of films and web series in a chat group in the message sending application, namely the telegram application. The writing of this research uses normative legal research methods and uses a statute approach and a case approach. The results of this study are that the parties who commit piracy in duplicating and disseminating someone's intellectual copyright work have committed acts that violate the law and violate the rights of the copyright owner, both economic rights and moral rights. The parties who commit the piracy to be prosecuted according to the applicable legal provisions regarding copyright, receive strict sanctions, and through the MCIT can act to block chat groups on the telegram application so that films and web series do not circulate without permission from the copyright owner.]]>
