Abstract

Community of Pangkung sub-village of Belantih village in Bangli district very hard to access clean water. Inadition, Belantih-Kintamani Public Health Center located in the region. To meet the needs of clean water canbe overcome by utilizing the potential of existing water sources, one of which is Pangkung spring. Thesprings elevation is lower 125 meters from health centers and residential population, so it requires a tool suchas a pump to raise the water. In order to reduce operating costs then used hydram pump. Based on the resultsof studies in which the new spherical shaped hydram pump delivery valve model gives better efficiency thanthe plate model, then the hydraulic ram is made and mounted using the spherical shaped model. Consideringthat Pangkung spring discharge is only 3 liters/sec then clean water to meet the needs of the community andthe health center that will be used hydram pump which is expected to produce about 0.2 liters/sec. Whilewastewater from hydraulic ram will be streamed using the gasoline engine-driven pump to meet the needs ofthe people in the Pangkung sub-village of Belantih village of about 1 liter/sec. Hydram pump that has beenmade and installed has been able to operate properly. The results of measurements at the peak of the dryseason in September produce the pumping capacity of 0.17 liters/sec with 3 liters/sec of the drive watercapacity.

Abstract

Abstract

Kaja-Kauh sub-village of Sudaji village is a nestled community in the hills, with a population of 231households (1,155 people), until now could not enjoy clean water because there are constraints on the pipingsystem. In order to meet the needs of everyday people have to carry water from source water from othervillages higher elevation, such as Sekumpul and Lemukih villages using a piping system. In this activity, thepipe material provided by the Rotary Club Bali-Taman in collaboration with the Korean Rotary Club. Whilethe physical execution of the installation of the pipeline in the field of mutual assistance is done by localpeople. Given the pipe material given is kind of a new pipe is a pipe High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE)that is not yet known by the public, especially in the process of these connections by using a system ofcompression joint, the team of Udayana University needs to provide technical assistance in the form ofguidance and supervision of the implementation of pipe laying. After receiving technical assistance from theimplementation team devotion Udayana University, the community has been able to install and connectHDPE pipe properly. Water has been flowing smoothly, both from the water spring to the reservoir and fromthe reservoir to residents housing. But not all houses connected to water systems because of the constraints ofsociety's ability to provide pipes and water meter that must be provided by each water user.
