Abstract

Pulmonary TB is an air-borne disease. Pulmonary TB transmission to someone through phlegm in the form of droplets that spread into the air. One of the prevention of transmission of pulmonary TB is the use of masks. Good behavior in pulmonary TB patients is required to wear respiratory protection when leaving the house and when in direct contact with people because the mask can filter out submicron-sized particles. Respiratory protection if not used for pulmonary TB patients in contact with people, it will increase the risk of transmitting the disease. This study aims to determine the behavior of the use of masks for pulmonary TB patients in Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal. This research is a non-hypothesis descriptive study with cross sectional approach, a sample of 78 respondents with accidental sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of respondents based on the average age of 44.63 years with an age range of 17-78 years, the majority of male sex 43 (55.1%) respondents, educated high school 31 (39.7%) respondents , has a job as a laborer 15 (19.2%) of respondents, low income of 45 (57.7%) respondents, average length of illness for 6.69 months with a range of 1-60 months. The behavior of using masks in the majority of pulmonary TB patients is good as many as 64 (82.1%) respondents and the behavior of using masks is not good as many as 14 (17.9%) respondents. One's actions in carrying out health activities, especially in the use of masks, are in addition to being influenced by knowledge and attitudes. There are several factors that influence it, including the physical environment and the socio-cultural environment. Someone who has good knowledge and attitude can still be at risk of taking unfavorable health measures because of the influence of the surrounding environment, habits and activities of people with pulmonary TB.

Abstract

Penyebab kesakitan dan kematian terbesar sejak 2010 adalah penyakit tidak menular (PTM). Penyakit tidak menular di Indonesia di prediksikan akan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan pada tahun 2030. Angka kesakitan dan kematian serta permintaan pelayanan kesehatan (pengobatan) diperkirakan akan terus meningkat. Hal ini didorong oleh perubahan pola hidup masyarakat yang cenderung kurang aktif secara fisik, konsumsi buah dan sayur yang rendah, dan kurangnya kepedulian dalam memeriksakan atau mendeteksi dini penyakit. Pada tahun 2016-2017 Kementrian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia memfokuskan 3 kegiatan program gerakan masyarakat hidup sehat yaitu melakukan aktifitas fisik, mengkonsumsi buah dan sayur dan memeriksakan kesehatan secara rutin. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif analitik metode survey deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara random sampling. Hasil melakukan aktifitas fisik dilakukan responden sebanyak 315 responden (95,5%), mengkonsumsi buah dan sayur dilakukan responden sebanyak 189 responden (57,3%), memeriksakan kesehatan secara rutin dilakukan responden sebanyak 48 responden (14,5%) dan pelaksanaan kegiatan program gerakan masyarakat hidup sehat di Kelurahan Karangsari kurang baik yaitu 297 responden ( 90%) tidak melaksanankan tiga indikator germas. Diharapkan masyarakat Kelurahan Karangsari menerapkan gerakan masyarakat hidup sehat yang meliputi 3 indikator yaitu melakukan aktifitas fisik, mengkonsumsi buah dan sayur, dan memeriksakan kesehatan secara rutin, sehingga terhindar dari masalah kesehatan penyakit tidak menular. Kata kunci: Aktifitas fisik,konsumsi buah dan sayur, pemeriksaan kesehatan DESCRIPTION OF IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTIVITIES HEALTHY LIVING COMMUNITY MOVEMENT (GERMAS) ABSTRACT The greatest cause of illness and death since 2010 is non-communicable disease (NCD). Non-communicable diseases in Indonesia are predicted to increase significantly in 2030. Illness and Mortality rates and demand for health services (treatment) are expected to continue to rise. This is driven by changes in people's lifestyles that are less physically active, low fruit and vegetable consumption, and lack of awareness in early detection or detection of disease. In 2016-2017 the Ministry of Health of the Indonesia Republic focuses 3 activities of healthy living community movement program that is doing physical activity, consuming fruits and vegetables and checking health regularly. This research uses quantitative descriptive analytic design with descriptive quantitative survey method with random sampling technique. Result physical activity conducted by respondent as much as 315 respondents (95,5%), consuming fruit and vegetables by respondents as much as 189 respondents (57,3%), checking health routinely done by respondent counted 48 responden (14,5%) and implementation activities of the community healthy living movement program in Karangsari sub district is not good,there are 297 respondents (90%) did not carry out three GERMAS indicators. It is expected that the people of Kelurahan Karangsari apply healthy living community movement which includes 3 indicators that is doing physical activity, consuming fruits and vegetables, and checking health regularly, so that will avoid the health problems of non-communicable diseases.
