Abstract

ABSTRACTThe experiment was conducted using a survey method at 4 locations/district in the Southeast Minahasa Regency is Belang,Tombatu, North Tombatu, and East Tombatu. Each location/districts determined three paddy fields (repeats) as a place of observation and sampling. The study lasted for 10 months ie from January to October 2015. Sampling is done diagonally to the respective fields. So one rice field consists of 5 sub-plot as a point of sampling Samples are larvae present in the leaf roll. Implementation of the sampling carried out on rice plants vegetative phase once a week for 6 weeks. The results showed that the average population of C. medinalis (per-10 clumps) on paddy rice cultivation in Southeast Minahasa Regency highest found in the location of the North Tombatu 10.99, then Eastern Tombatu 10.44, Belang 10.43 and lows in the Tombatu 0.94. Observations of percentage of pests C. medinalis highest in Southeast Minahasa Regency found in the sample locations in the North Tombatu which reached 33.95%, Belang 32.51%, Eastern Tombatu 31.86%, and the lowest in the Tombatu 4.08%. The Cycad scale, Aulacaspisyasumatsui Takagi (Hemiptera: Diaspididae) and yellow beetle, Lilioceris sp. (Coleoptera:Chrysomelidae) were first recorded on pakis haji in North Sulawesi and causing damage to pakis haji inthis region. Abstract

ABSTRACT Study aims (a) to determine the effectiveness of Trichoderma sp., combination PGPR and Trichoderma sp., and PGPR to the development of diseases that attack strawberry plants, (b) to study the effect of application of Trichoderma sp., combination PGPR and Trichoderma sp. and PGPR for strawberry production.  The experiment was conducted in the village Rurukan (Mahawu), subdistrict Tomohon Timur.  Study lasted from March to August 2013.  Experiments using a randomized block design with 4 treatments, as follows: Treatment A = Trichoderma sp., Treatment B = PGPR, Treatment C = combination of Trichoderma sp. and PGPR, and Treatment D = Control.  The experiment was repeated 4 times.  Data were analyzed using Minitab software ver. 14.  Things that observed the symptoms of disease, number of shoots, roots and heavy weight of strawberries.  The results showed that strawberry plants are not attacked by various diseases. Fungus Verticillium sp. encountered attack strawberry plants with very low intensity.  The average number of shoots ever encountered on the 6.25 shoots PGPR treatment and lowest in the control treatment, ie 2.20 shoots .  The average weight of the heaviest roots found in the PGPR treatment and 68.75 grams of the lowest in the control treatment, which is 13.50 grams.  The average weight of the fruit of the highest found in the 731.25 grams of PGPR treatment and lowest in the control treatment fruit weighing 417.50 grams. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aims to find out about the type of insect pests population in potato plants Solamun tuberosum L. in Modoinding, South Minahasa. The research was conducted on the potato plants in Modoinding, South Minahasa. The research was carried out by using the survey method on potato in Modoinding's villages, South Minahasa, such as Palelon Village, Makaaroyen Village, and Lineleyan Village. The sampling was carried out with a diagonal incision method that established of five sub-plot that is on the corner and the middle of the sampling sites. The sampling was done by using insect nets that swung above the potato crop for ten times the double swing. The netted insects are immediately put into the "killing bottle" then collected in 70% alcohol to be identified. Identifying the type of insect pests is done by using the facilities of the Entomology and Pest Plant Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, UNSRAT. The results of the research of the associated pests on potato was found about eight kinds of insect pests, such as Empoasca sp. 109.03, Drosophila sp. 37.03, Nesidiocoris sp. 34.11, Lirionyza sp. 10.72, Lygus sp. 4.47, Phthorimaea sp. 2.97, Antractomorpha sp. 1.61, and Epilachna sp. 0.69. The average of the highest populations of insect pests are found in Makaaroyen Village with 37.99, whereas in Palelon Village with 22.79, and the lowest is in rural Lineleyan Village with 14,49.Keywords: Population, Pest, Potato

Abstract

ABSTRAKThe research aims to find out: (1). The population of walang sangit pest in several rice varieties inTolotoyon village, Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency; (2). pest attack wit sangit on severalvarieties of rice in the village Tolotoyon Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The study was carried outin a rice-growing area owned by farmers in Tolotoyon Village, Bolaang Mongondow SelatanRegency. The duration of the study is 3 (three) months, from December 2019 to February 2020.Bandage using Random Group Design (RAK) with the treatment of rice plant varieties, namelyCiherang, Inpari 9, and Situ bagendiT and repeated three times. The research was conducted atthree locations, each measuring approximately one (1) hectare. Each location planted one variety.Sampling was conducted three (3) times. Sampling is carried out on plants that are ten weeks oldwith a retrieval interval of one (1) week. Parameter the number of nymphs and image caught.Observation of the intensity of pest attacks is carried out visually based on the symptoms ofWalang Sangit attack on the malaise of rice crops. Observations are made on generative phase riceplants. Parameter the number of malaises affected. The results showed that the highest walangsangit pest population was found in the Ciherang variety of 6.8 Walang Sangits, followed by Inpari9 which is 5.6 Walang Sangits and the lowest in Situ bagendit which is 3.1 The yield on walangsangit pest attacks on inpari varieties was 7.0 percent, followed by Ciherang 6.1 percent, whileSitu Bagendit 3.1 percent. The difference in population and intensity of Walang Sangit pest attackson some varieties of rice crops, caused by the character of rice crops, such as the number of shootsand the color of grain. Keywords : Rice varieties,Leptocorisa Oratorius, population, and intensity
