Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a disease with progressive and irreversible reduction in kidney function. Patient with CKD Stage 5D requires hemodialysis to support their life. Hemodialysis should be conducted for their long life which can be a stressor lead to depression. Therefore, family support is necessary to treat depression in CKD patients. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of family support on depression level of patient with CKD stage 5D undergoing hemodialysis. This was a correlation analytical study design with cross sectional approach involving 30 correspondents. Data were collected by using HDRS questionnaire to measure patient's depression level and Family Support questionnaire to measure family's support level. Data were analyzed by using Spearman correlation test. The results showed that 50% of respondents had mild depression and 50% of respondents got good family support. Spearman correlation test showed significance (p) of 0.010 with correlation coefficient (r) of -0.462. Thus, we can conclude that there was an influence of family support on depression level of patient with CKD stage 5D undergoing hemodialysis at dr. Soebandi Hospital Jember. Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is secondary disease with irreversible process of progressive reduction in kidney function, one of the therapy is hemodialysis which can cause psychological disorders. The most frequently occured is depression that can reduce quality of life of CKD patients. The aim of this research was to analyze the correlation between level of depression and quality of life of CKD patients during hemodialysis therapy. This research used Cross Sectional Design with 30 respondents. The data were collected from hemodialysis policlynic at dr. Soebandi hospital Jember. The level of depression was measured using HDRS questionnair, and quality of life was measured using WHOQOLBREF questionnair. The result showed that 50% respondents had mild depression (23,3% respondents had good quality of life and 26,7% respondents had bad quality of life), 23,3% respondents were moderate depression (3,3% respondents had good quality of life and 20% respondents had bad quality of life), while 26,7% respondents were severe depression who had bad quality of life. The Spearman correlation test showed that the significance (p) of this test was 0.010 with -0.464 correlation coefficient (r). It can be concluded that there were correlation between level of depression and quality of life of CKD patients during hemodialysis therapy at dr. Soebandi regional hospital Jember. Abstract

Schizophrenia is one of the health problems in developing countries and developed countries. Risk factors that may affect the reccurrence of schizophrenia consist of internal and eksternal factors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors which affect the recurrence of schizophrenia. This study was a quantitative research with cross sectional approach. Sample in this study was obtained by total sampling from family of schizophrenia patients who visited Polyclinic Psychiatry dr. Soebandi Public Hospital of Jember. The factors studied were age, gender, education, occupation, economic condition, schizophrenia onset, type of schizophrenia, family's knowledge, character of family, character of paramedic, physic factor, disobedience medication, and type of medication . Data analysis was performed by chi square test and logistic regression. Chi square test found a significant factor that was age (p=0.029), schizophrenia onset (p=0.037), physical factor (p=0,022), and disobedience medication (p=0.021) while other factors did not significant. Results of logistic regression test results obtained for age was (p=0.019, OR=0.279), schizophrenia onset (p=0.068, OR=0.224), character of family (p=0.035, OR=0,214) and to disobedience medication (p=0.013, OR=4,064). It can be concluded that the most factor that affect the recurrence of schizophrenia was disobedience medication.   Keywords: recurrence, schizophrenia
