Abstract

In the university management, in addition to resources infrastructure, facilities and people, information systems is one of the resources that can be utilized to enhance the competitive advantage and provide accurate data for the benefit of policy makers, for example, information about the test scores SNMPTN, region of origin students, GPA student, students study duration. Yogyakarta State University to accept new students with an average of approximately 6,000 people annually, through the National Selection of State Universities Student (SNMPTN), SBMPTN (Joint Student Selection State University) and the Independent Selection exam (SM). With the increasing number of prospective students through SBMPTN, then increasingly also the basic data in a database of prospective students annually. By utilizing basic data on SBMPTN students and grade point average (GPA), the study aims to apply data mining techniques using the association rule Apriori algorithm to look for patterns of association between baseline SBMPTN and UNY students GPA. Basic data to be processed SBMPTN mining student data origin include school, home school district data, earnings data parent, parental education level data, the average value data UAN, and data values academic potential test (TPA). The results obtained are no data in the data base SNMPTN that significantly affect the acquisition of GPA. This is evident from the association rules derived from the 50 best asosoasi rules not seen the emergence of itemset GPA accompanied by the emergence of other itemset. Keywords: Data Mining, Association Rule, Algoritma Apriori, SNMPTN

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed  to develop e-comic learning based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on mathematics learning arithmetic socials materials for junior high school grade VII, and to evaluate the products quality in terms of their validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This was a developmental  research  based  on  ADDIE  model  consisting  of  analysis,  design,  development, implementation, and evaluation. The developed were tried out to 32 students of grade VII-8 at SMP N  8 Yogyakarta.  The  instrument  that  used  to  evaluate  the  e-comic  qualities  consisted  of  e-comic assessment  sheet  for  material  and  media  experts,  lesson  plan  assessment  sheet,  response questionnaire  (for  students  and  teacher),  and  student  achievement  test.  The  quality  of  e-comic learning in terms of validity was very good, according to the collected data that the e-comic obtained average score 8,23 and lesson plan obtained average score 8,32. In terms of practicality, they were good, according to the student response to the questionnaire obtained average score  4,00 and the teacher response to the questionnaire obtained average score 4,09. In terms of effectiveness, they were very good, according to the student achievement test, which was at percentage level 87,50%. Keywords: e-comic learning, CTL, arithmetic socials

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian  ini  bertujuan  mengembangkan  media  pembelajaran  matematika  berbasis  multimedia interaktif menggunakan  pendekatan kontekstual pada materi aritmetika sosial untuk siswa SMP kelas VII serta mengetahui kualitas media dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Pengembangan media mengacu pada  model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Subjek penelitian  terdiri  dari  27  siswa  kelas  VIID  SMP  N  1  Yogyakarta.  Instrumen   penelitian  berupa  angket evaluasi media, angket respon, lembar observasi penggunaan media dan tes hasil belajar. Pengembangan media menggunakan perangkat lunak bantu  Macromedia Flash 8 Professional. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa multimedia interaktif. Implementasi berupa ujicoba sebanyak dua kali pada subyek penelitian. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) penilaian media oleh dosen ahli dan guru matematika dengan klasifikasi sangat  baik  sehingga media dinyatakan valid. (2) angket guru dan siswa serta observasi penggunaan media dengan klasifikasi sangat baik sehingga media dinyatakan praktis; (3) tes hasil belajar siswa, didapatkan persentase ketuntasan 92,59 % dan nilai rata-rata kelas 90,54 sehingga media yang dikembangkan  efektifdengan klasifikasi sangat baik.Kata kunci: multimedia interaktif, kontekstual, aritmetika sosialAbstractThe purposes  of this research  were to  develop mathematics learning media based on interactive multimedia with contextual approach on social arithmetic material for the seventh grade of SMP students and  to  determine  the  quality  of  the  media  developed  in  terms  of  validity,  practicablelity,  effectivenessaspects.  Product  development  referenced  to  the  ADDIE  model  (Analysis,  Design,   Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subject of this research was  27  students in the seventh grade of  SMP N 1 Yogyakarta. The instruments  included  the  media evaluation questionnaires,  the  questionnaires  responses, the  usage  of  media  evaluation  sheets,  and  the  examination.  Developing  media   used  software  of Macromedia Flash 8 Professional.  The  Implementation  was  in the form of  twice  try out  to subject of research. The results were: (1) judgement media from expert lectures and mathematics teacher with a very good classification so media declared valid; (2) teacher and student questionnares and the usage of media evaluation  sheets  with  a  very  good  classification  so  media  declared  practicable;  (3)  examination,  the percentage of completeness is 92,59% and class average score is 90,54 so media declared effective with avery good classification.Keywords:interactive multimedia, contextual, social arithmetic
