Abstract

Rabies or hydrophobia which can be transmitted from animals to humans through the bite incident. Prevention and control of infectious Rabies diseases in animals and humans needs to be done. Cases of dog bites in humans often occurs in Central Kalimantan is no exception in Kabupaten Barito Selatan, and more specifically on Kecamatan Dusun Selatan. This descriptive study using a questionnaire which was distributed to 50 respondents in Kelurahan Hilir Sper. Data analysis with multiple linear regression statistical tests to see the impact of knowledge on prevention participation. Results obtained both categories of knowledge and participation of both categories. Analysis of the results of that knowledge does not affect the level of participation of rabies prevention.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the effect of additives EM4 and palm sugar on the characteristics of elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) silage. This research was designed using a 2 x 2 factorial experiment with completely randomized design. Results showed that the additives EM4 and palm sugar give a good influence in the characteristics of elephant grass silage include; smell, taste, color, and texture. There is no interaction between the use of additives EM4 and palm sugar in making of elephant grass silage. Key words : Elephant grass, silage, palm sugar , additives

Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical characteristics of silage at different mixture levels of cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta) and kumpai grass (Hymenachine ampleexicaulis). The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with treatment A (Without a mixture of cassava leaves), B (Mixture of 10% Cassava Leaves and 90% Kumpai Grass), C (Mixture of 20% Cassava Leaves and 80% Kumpai Grass), D (Mixture of 30% Cassava leaves and 70% Kumpai Grass). The results showed mixture of cassava leaves and kumpai grass silage were influence the characteristic fragrance and no effect on the characteristics of flavor, color and texture of silage. A mixture of 20% cassava leaves and 80% kumpai grass showed the best fragrance with score 24.60 approached a perfect score (25). Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of price, age and income of consumers towards pork demand on the Traditional Market Kuala Kurun, districts Gunung Mas. The research data were analyzed using descriptive and correlational method. Results of this study, variable Pricing, Age and Income Consumer simultaneously significantly affect demand for pork in the Traditional Market Kuala Kurun, while partially variable pricing and variable age did not significantly affect demand for pork and variable income impact on the pork demand on Traditional Market Kuala Kurun Key words : Pork, price, consumption, income

Abstract

The study aims to determine socio economic full inkind Bali cattle rancher to high development Gumba livestock after 2(two) years to receiving assistance. The study was conducted by surveying,interview by made spreading a structured questionnaire. Socio economic variabels are progress of goat livestock, age, education, revenue, and knowledge of farming. Sample 16 respondents who received Bali cattle in 2010 in the Village Hamlet South lake District Ganting South Barito Regency. Analysis of data by multiple linear regression statistical test with the level test(a)=0,05. Statistical data processing using a computer program SPSS version 17. The result was most of the respondent in the category of medium knowledge about cattle raising system. Socio economic variables such as variable breeder age, education, revenue, and knowledge does not effect on the development of high Gumba Bali Cattle.
