Abstract

Today, Information Technology (IT) becomes an integral part of human life. IT boosts every sector, such as infrastructure, economics, agriculture, social, organization, and politics. The institutional systems are developed according to the specific business requirements, processes, flows, and security. Pos Lintas Batas Negara ‘integrated cross-border post’ (PLBN) is a designated authority consisting of the Custom, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ). Each section has a different Standard Operation Procedure (SOP). This research aims to develop a secure information system based on Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) concepts. The CIA is embedded in the ISO 27001 and McCumber Cube approach. The research focuses on the Secure Immigration Information System (SIIS). This research is conducted in the Wini immigration office. The researchers observe the immigration activities on the location, interview the immigration officers, and collect information. The researchers produce an effective, efficient, and security application prototype system.

Abstract

Pada dasarnya, banyak perusahaan dan organisasi yang terjebak pada fitur aplikasi perangkat lunak, demo aplikasi, dan iklan. Informasi yang jauh lebih tidak lengkap yang didapatkan dari penyedia perangkat lunak hanya didasarkan pada keterampilan pemasar. Institusi, organisasi, perusahaan, dan entitas pemerintah lainnya tidak berpikir lebih jauh serta segera memiliki dan mengimplementasikan aplikasi tersebut di lingkungan bisnisnya hanya karena biasanya menjawab beberapa kebutuhan pada saat itu. Tugas staf dalam perencanaan sistem masih di bawah standar atau masih minimnya jam terbang dalam mengembangkan aplikasi; kurangnya master Teknologi Informasi (TI) juga berkontribusi pada kegagalan implementasi aplikasi dan sistem web dalam suatu organisasi. Oleh karena itu, lembaga, perusahaan, dan organisasi perlu melibatkan bantuan dari para ahli yang telah memiliki reputasi dan pengalaman dalam mengembangkan aplikasi perangkat lunak. Faktanya, sebagian besar perencana teknologi informasi tidak memiliki soft skill yang memadai seperti analisis kebutuhan bisnis, kepemimpinan, manajemen risiko, kontrol perubahan, dan lain-lain. Soft skill ini dapat membantu memitigasi risiko untuk mengintegrasikan sistem di masa depan, dan tentunya memiliki pengembalian investasi. Selain itu, organisasi, perusahaan besar, dan lembaga pemerintah yang lebih tinggi cenderung membeli dan beradaptasi dengan perusahaan yang menjual perangkat lunak untuk memenuhi kebutuhan bisnis. Perusahaan perangkat lunak kecil lebih cenderung membeli dari perusahaan perangkat lunak besar. Sementara yang lain mungkin menggunakan beberapa sumber perangkat lunak perusahaan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mereka. Pakar dapat memberikan keputusan strategis, penilaian, dan langkah-langkah efektif.

Abstract

The administrative process that had previously applied to the cross border Post or ‘Pos Lintas Batas Negara (PLBN)’ is integrated with the way of manuscript the passport data information or ‘Pas Lintas Batas (PLB)’-special card for habitants whereas living a long site of the both coutries border (Indonesia and Timor-Leste), information on a card and then do a recapitulation. This manuscript administration gave unfavourable result such as not have proper archiving in the filing cabinet and difficulty of the search data for the report purpose. To solve these problems, then it has been developed and implemented an application which called ‘Sistem Informasi Pelintas Batas Wilayah Negara (SINTASWIN).’ This Sintaswin application is applied to the immigration authorities in order to record and control the border crosser (traveler). This system will support the national policies and strategies of the Government in managing boarder region. However, the implementation of any application system has it constraints; therefore it needs to be evaluated such as to evaluate end user satisfaction. This study aims to evaluate the satisfaction of users by applying End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) methods in order to produce recommendations for the improvement and system development in the future.
