Abstract

Setiap musim durian sepanjang jalan banyak terdapat limbah kulit durian yang dibuang begitu saja yang akan berdampak buruk bagi lingkungan danmenyebabkan bau busuk serta mendatangkan banyak sumber penyakit. Selain masalah kulit durian petani juga sering mengalami permasalahan hama tanaman khususnya tanaman cabai. Ditinjau dari kandungan kimia kulit durian seperti minyak atsiri, flavonoid, fenolik, saponin,tanin ini yang bersifat sitotoksit terhadap terhadap hama tanaman,  limbah kulit durian dapat diolah menjadi biopestisida alami yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas biopestisida alami berbahan limbah kulit durian dan daun sirsak terhadap hama tanaman cabai kutu daun persik. Aktivitas biopestisida ini dilakukan secara in vitro terhadap hama kutu daun persik tanaman cabai dan secara in vivo pada tanaman cabai. Rancangan penelitian adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan enam perlakuan yaitu: K1= tanpa pestisida (air), K2= biopestisida dosis 25%, K3= biopestisida dosis 50%, K4= biopestisida dosis 75%, K5= biopestisida dosis 100% K6= Pestisida sintetik, yang dilakukan terhadap hama kutu daun persik tanaman cabai dan terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman cabai. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap mortalitas hama kutu daun persik dan tanaman cabai dan pertumbuhan tanaman cabai. Pemberian perlakuan diberi ulangan tiga kali. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan biopestisida alami berbahan limbah kulit durian dan daun sirsak dengan dosis 50% mempunyai aktivitas yang paling efektif membunuh hama kutu daun persik secara in vitro maupun pada pertumbuhan tanaman cabai secara in vivo.

Abstract

ABSTRAKEksplorasi antimikroba berbasis tanaman sangat diperlukan saat ini sebagai upaya pengembangan penyediaan bahan baku alternative obat infeksi bakteri alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis ekstrak daun tumbuhan local sarang banua (Clerodendrum fragrans Vent Willd) yang berpotensi sebagai antibakteri terhadap Salmonella enterica. Sampel daun C. Fragrans diperoleh dari desa Raya Usang, Kecamatan Dolok Masagal, Kabupaten Simalungun, Sumatera Utara. Serbuk daun C. Fragrans dimaserasi dengan pelarut bertingkat kepolarannya sehingga diperoleh ekstrak etanol (polar), etil asetat (semi-polar) dan n-heksana (non-polar). Masing-masing jenis ekstrak diuji dengan variasi konsentrasi 10%, 5%, 2,5%, dan 1,25%. Kloramfenikol digunakan sebagai kontrol positif dan DMSO sebagai kontrol negative. Metode uji antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi cakram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas antibakteri (diameter zona hambat) terbesar terhadap Salmonella enterica secara berurutan adalah ekstrak etanol 5% (polar) sebesar 14,0 mm, ekstrak n-heksan 10% (non-polar) sebesar 11,6 mm, dan ekstrak etilasetat 10% (semi-polar) sebesar 10,5 mm. Ekstrak etanol daun C. fragrans Vent Willd  memiliki potensi antibakteri yang sangat baik terhadap Salmonella enterica. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan pemilihan jenis ekstrak pelarut dalam penyediaan daun C. fragrans sebagai bahan baku obat antibakteri alami.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) To know the effect of using modules in project-based chemistry learning on student learning outcomes in class XI semester 1 on thermochemical material. (2) To know the effectiveness of using the module in project-based chemistry learning in the learning process of class XI semester 1 students on thermochemical material. (3) To find out the response of class XI semester 1 students to learning by using project-based modules on thermochemical material. The population of this research is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Medan T.A 2021/2022. The sample in this study was taken using the purposive sampling technique, then took 2 sample classes as the experimental class and the control class. Class XI MIPA 4 is used as an experimental class which is taught through the use of project-based modules while class XI MIPA 2 is a control class with conventional learning. The instrument used in this study was a test of thermochemical material chemistry learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice as many as 25 valid and reliable questions (0.8570). The data analysis technique for hypothesis testing is a one-sample t-test (right side). The data obtained from student learning outcomes in the experimental class is 82.59 and in the experimental class is 68.00. From hypothesis testing with a significance level of 0.05, it was obtained t value > critical t value (6.441 > 1.997), so that in this study H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it is found that there is a significant effect of using modules in project-based chemistry learning on the learning outcomes of class XI semester 1 students on thermochemical material.

Abstract

Abstract: Ranti hitam plant (Solanum blumei Nees ex Blume), Solanaceae family is found in Karo and Dairi, traditionally used as a medicinal plant. The results of phytochemical analysis of extract of S. blumei Nees ex Blume shows that secondary metabolites alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and saponin are more numerous in the ethanol extract of the leaves than the ethanol extract of the fruit. Quinone is only found in the ethanol extract of the leaves. Phenol is widely available on the ethyl acetate extracts of leaves and fruit.Steroids and triterpenoids are abundant in n-hexane extract and ethyl acetate leaves and fruit as well as the ethanol extract of the leaves. The yield of extract n-hexane, ethyl acetate and ethanol blumei leaves S. Nees ex Blume respectively are 1.76%; 3.17% and 9.95% (w/w). The yield of extract n-hexane, ethyl acetate and ethanol fruit S. blumei Nees ex Blume respectively are 1.21%; 2.50% and 4.09% (w/w). Abstract

The high price of chemical fish feed is a serious problem for “Tani Manise" group partners in Sari Rejo village, Medan Polonia sub-district. The reality in the field shows that the presence of golden snail (Pomace sp) in partner locations has not been utilized properly as raw material for organic feed for gurame fish (Osphronemus gouramy). The purpose of this community partnership program (PKM) activity is to assist partners in problems solving faced with the use of the golden snail as organic feed for gurame fish which has economic value and contains good nutrition. To solve the problems faced by partners, an approach is used with planning methods, training and mentoring. The results of PKM activities show that giving organic feed made from golden snail flour can accelerate the growth of gurame fish from the previous 25.0 g / month to 33.3 g / month. There is an increase in growth of about 8.3 grams per month. The high cost of feed can be reduced to 9,000 / kg using organic feed, while the chemical based fish feed is in the range of 13,000 / kg. The implementation of PKM activities can reduce high production costs, accelerate the growth of gurame fish, and the ability of partner human resources in processing raw material for golden snail pests into organic feed containing good nutrition.

Abstract

Assistance to Anugrah Farmers Group Utilizing Water Hyacinth as a Raw Material for Carp Feed Water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) is not only harmful but also beneficial because it can be used as animal fodder, fish fodder, organic fertilizer, and biogas production and water purification. Water hyacinth like other plants contains protein needed by carp (Osphronemus gouramy Lac). The purpose of this community service activity is to provide assistance to partners in utilizing water hyacinth as a raw material for carp feed. The approach taken is the methods namely planning, training and mentoring. The results of the community service activity show that partners already have knowledge in processing water hyacinth as a raw material for fish feed, which can reduce high production costs. Comparison of the price of commercial animal feed and animal feed made from water hyacinth is 12,000 IDR compared to 6,058 IDR and can accelerate the growth of carp.

Abstract

Mata Kuliah kimia dasar merupakan mata kuliah dasar yang menjadi pengantar dan syarat mata kuliah Farmasi. Setiap mata kuliah di Universitas harus disusun Rencana pembelajaran semester (RPS) dan bahan ajar. RPS disusun sesuai dengan kurikulum KKNI dan untuk bahan ajar sesuai dengan BSNP dan prinsip KKNI. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hasil analisis terhadap RPS dan bahan ajar pada mata kuliah kimia dasar Universitas Sains Cut Nyak Dhien Langsa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa Prodi Farmasi Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan sudah menggunakan kurikulum KKNI tetapi belum maksimal, hal ini ditandai dari tugas yang diberikan ke Mahasiswa belum sesuai dengan KKNI, kemudian RPS yang disusun oleh prodi memiliki skor mutu dua, berada pada kategori baik dan perlu dilakukan revisi pada beberapa hal agar sesuai dengan kurikulum KKNI. Bahan ajar kimia dasar yang digunakan adalah buku referensi kimia dasar konsep-konsep inti karangan Raymond Chang Edisi ketiga jilid dua dan hasil validasinya sesuai standar BSNP berada pada skor rata-rata 3,6. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa buku referensi yang digunakan sudah valid dan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dan sesuai dengan KKNI.
