Abstract

This research was conducted to determine and identify the wisdom of the organic farming environment in Karang Anyar Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency. As for the matters being discussed are the background of an environmentally friendly (organic) farming system, the form of environmental wisdom of organic agriculture, and the strategy of strengthening organic farming in Karang Anyar Village. The research method used is the type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach through data collection techniques such as observation and interviews. The data analysis technique uses Miles & Huberman which starts with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study described that organic farming in Karang Anyar Village began in 1992 and was initiated by a farmer named Sukardi. He has pioneered organic agriculture to date by forming a farmer group called Karang Anyar Farmer Group since 2008. This group produces organic rice called organic pandanus fragrant rice. The environmental wisdom found in agriculture in this village is to develop artificial fertilizers naturally by utilizing fruits such as pineapple for fermentation, starch water, neem leaves, planting colorful flowers on the edge of rice fields to divert plant pests. Product marketing is done manually and the majority of buyers are institutions/families who have autism. The farmers realize the importance of contributing to the development of the quality of life of human beings and the environment in a constant and sustainable way.

Abstract

This study aims to inventory various forms of Karo ethnic local wisdom in the use of various types of local plants, medical processing, food, cosmetics, rituals, and boards. Another goal is to analyze the potential of micro and macroeconomic elements in the marketing of processed plants. The cornerstone of thinking in this study is the concept of ethnobotany, ethnoecology, and local wisdom. This study uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, document studies, and documentation. The results of the study revealed that there were at least 218 local Karo ethnic plants that grew and were known to be Karo ethnicity and their usefulness. Local plants for medical are 183 species, for culinary ingredients a total of 53 types, for cosmetics a total of 32 types, for magical number of 27 types, and for the cancellation of households (boards) of 7 types. Local plants / plants that function ethnobotany are those that have multiple functions, so that the total number of plants can exceed the number of local plants / plants used by the people. As for some of the Karo Ethnic local knowledge related to its processing, it was produced in the form of making karo oil, yellow/param, injecting betel nut, enough, spraying beltek, my erpangir rituals and others

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengenai peran dan standar pelayanan pegawai Front Desk dalam peningkatan pelayanan prima, kendala yang muncul dalam melaksanakan pelayanan prima yang sesuai dengan SOP, apa saja jenis keluhan  customer  dan solusi yang diberikan dan saran serta harapan customer dalam rangka peningkatan kualitas UPBJJ-UT Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Layanan baru yakni pengangkatan TKT front desk diperlukan dalam rangka pengoptimalan kinerja yang sesuai dengan visi, misi, tujuan, dan sasaran Universitas Terbuka. Peran pegawai front desk di UPBJJ-UT Medan sangat penting karena sepanjang masa 2016.1, setidaknya ada 1.005 orang mahasiswa yang terbantu dalam penyelesaian masalah studinya. Melalui penempatan front desk di tiap UPBJJ, telah membantu kelancaran berbagai permasalahan yang dialami mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian studinya.
