Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media gambar berseri terhadap kemampuan menulis berita oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP PGRI 9 Percut Sei Tuan Tahun Pembelajaran 2015/2016. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 140 siswa SMP PGRI 9 Percut Sei Tuan. Sampel diambil secara random sampling (acak kelas), yaitu sebanyak 35 siswa kelas VIII-1. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest design. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menjaring data adalah tes essay dalam bentuk penugasan yaitu menulis puisi. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji “t”. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen yang dilaksanakan pada satu kelompok saja tanpa kelompok pembanding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis berita sebelum menggunakan media gambar berseri termasuk dalam kategori cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 61,6 sedangkan sesudah menggunakan media gambar berseri termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 81,9. Selanjutnya pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan thitung > ttabel atau 15,38 > 2,03 pada taraf signifikan  = 0,05. Dengan demikian, telah terbukti bahwa hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima yaitu ada pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap media gambar berseri dalam menulis teks berita. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media gambar berseri berpengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP PGRI 9 Percut Sei Tuan tahun pembelajaran 2015/2016.   Kata Kunci: Media Gambar Berseri, Kemampuan Menulis Berita.

Abstract

This research is to analyze the effect of audit complexity, client’s profitability, firm size, independency of the board commissioner and audit firm size to audit fee in manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2012-2015. This research used secondary data that is audited financial report which can be accessible through the website of Indonesia Stock Exchange www.idx.co.id. The population for this research is 135 manufacturing companies. The sampling method is purposive sampling. Based on this method, 45 companies are acquired as a sample, with 4 years of observation period. Thus, the sum of this research is 180 analysis unit. Then audit complexity, client’s profitability, firm size, independency of the board commissioner, audit firm size and audit fee are tested using multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 21.0. Before being conducted the regression test, it is examined by using the classical assumption tests.The results of this research indicate that audit complexity, client’s profitability, firm size, independency of the board commissioner and audit firm size have a positive and significant effect on audit fee.Keywords : audit fee, audit complexity, client’s profitability, firm size, independency of the board commissioner, audit firm size

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research aimed to find out whether or not there is a significant effect of Numbered Head Together technique on the first year students’ ability in comprehending narrative texts at SMAN 2 Tambang. The research design was one group pre-test post-test design. The population was the first year students in academic year 2019/2020. The selected sample was X Bahasa students which consisted of 35 students. The instrument used to collect the data was a reading test. The tests consisted of 40 items. The obtained data was analyzed by using SPSS version 23.0. The finding of the research showed that the mean score of post-test was higher than pre-test (80.5>65.6). The value of t-test was higher than t-table (13.616>2.06) at 5% of significance level. Therefore, alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This means that Numbered Head Together Technique was effective for teaching reading comprehension concerning narrative text. There is a significant effect of Numbered Head Together technique on the first year students’ ability in comprehending narrative texts at SMAN 2 Tambang. There are some suggestions that can be given in relation to the writer’s conclusion. One of them is Number Head together can be alternative strategy in teaching English.
