Abstract

This studyaimed to develop pantomime textbooks as an alternative source of learning performing arts for children in elementary schools and to determine its feasibility. The research method was R&D referring to Borg and Gall’s theory which was modified into 7 steps. The product of the study was a text book entitled “Pantomim Asyik ala Kak Prop”. The score of validity test from material experts was 56, with an average of 3,5 and a percentage of 88% in very good category. Then, the score of validity test from a linguist was 27, with an average of 3,4 and a percentage of 84% in very good category. Moreover, the results of limited product trials through the teachers’ response questionnaire found a score of 572,with  an average of 3,6 and a percentage of 89,4% in very feasible category. Meanwhile, the students’ response questionnaire found a score of 565, with an average of 3,5 and a percentage of 88,3% in very feasible category. It was concluded that the pantomime textbook was very suitable to b used as an alternative source of learning performing arts for children in elementary schools.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students' writing skills were the main reason this research was conducted. It happens because the learning model that applied is less effective so it has not been able to optimally hone students writing skills. This study aims to determine the application of smart ludo media to improve poem writing skills in elementary students. This type of research is a classroom action research subject. This research lasted for two cycles, where each cycle consisted of four stages including planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques used tests, interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in students’ skills in writing poems through smart ludo media. The improvement of writing poetry skills in the first cycle obtained a classical completeness value of 73.91% and the second cycle obtained a classical completeness value of 91.30%. based on the results of classroom action research that has been carried out on fourth-grade elementary school students, it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of the application of smart ludo media on improving student learning outcomes in poem writing skills. The results of this study can be used by the teacher as a tool in conveying learning to students and it can be a reference for research using similar research objects.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the needs of teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning, especially at grade VI SD Negeri Sukoharjo 01. The expected result was to support the design of teaching materials in order to improve students’ learning outcomes. This research was a research and development that implemented ten steps including potentials and problems, data collections, product designs, design validations, design revisions, product testings, product revisions, trial uses, product revisions, and dissemination. The needs of teaching material were analyzed based on teachers’ and students’ perceptions which was conducted on 50 students at grade 6 in the experimental class, and 40 students in the control class. The data were collected through a questionnaire for teaching material needs and a test of students’ learning outcomes. Based on the teachers’ and students’ perceptions, there were  four aspects found in this research: (1) book content (88.5%), (2) language (92.25%), (3) presentation (96.25%), and (4) graphics (94.4%). Gain test indicated  an increase on students’ learning outcomes for as much as 0.49 with moderate criteria from the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. Then, t-test resulted 12.836> 0.05 which meant that the hypothesis H1was accepted. There was a difference on the learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that based on the needs analysis, materials based on problem-based learning can improve students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Artikel ini melaporkan bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi KPK dan FPB dalam pembelajaran daring kelas IV SDN 3 Undaan Lor Kudus. Penelitian pada artikel ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskripsi. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 5 siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Undaan Lor yang terdiri dari 3 laki-laki dan 2 perempuan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis berupa soal uraian dan teknik non tes (observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi KPK dan FPB menunjukkan rentang nilai rata-rata 68 dengan kriteria kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang. (2) Dimasa pandemi COVID-19 kegiatan belajar mengajar melalui tatap muka beralih ke pembelajaran daring sehingga siswa sulit untuk memahami materi atau tugas dan mengakibatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menurun. Banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami pelajaran matematika khususnya pada materi KPK dan FPB. Materi KPK dan FPB harus dijelaskan secara langsung karena banyak siswa yang masih kebingungan cara menentukan KPK dan FPB serta banyak siswa yang mengerjakan tugas tanpa memperhatikan proses penyelesaian dengan benar.
