Abstract

This research aims to: (1) find out the differences in mathematical literacy skills of students using the DLPS learning model and those using conventional learning models, (2) find out the differences in students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of verbal skills of students, (3) to find out the interaction of the DLPS learning model in terms of students' verbal skills on mathematical literacy skills of students. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experimental research and design of Factorial design 3 x 2. The population in this study is all eighth grade students of MTs Muhammadiyah Kampung Baru with the total is 48 people. The sample in this study is the eight-grade A  as a control class while the eight grade B is  as an experimental class. The instrument used in this study is a test of students 'mathematical literacy skills in the form of pretest and posttest and questionnaires to measure students' verbal skills. The data analysis technique used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The result shows that: (1) there is a difference between the application of the DLPS learning model and the conventional model on the mathematical literacy skills of students, (2) there is a difference in students' mathematical literacy skill in terms of vebal skill of students, and (3) there is no interaction effect between the DLPS learning model in terms of verbal skill to mathematical literacy skills of students

Abstract

This study aims to describe the first semester and second semester competency test questions contained in the revised 2017 edition of the junior high school mathematics textbook based on the cognitive dimensions of TIMSS 2019. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The data source in this study is the first semester competency test questions and the second semester competency test contained in the 2017 revised edition of the SMP/MTs grade VIII mathematics textbook written by Abdur Rahman As'ari, Mohammad Tohir, Erik Valentino, Zainul Imron and Ibnu Taufiq entitled "Mathematics" SMP/MTs grade VIII. The data collection technique used in this study is to use the documentation method. The results of data analysis show that questions with the cognitive dimension of knowledge (knowing) dominate the number material which is characterized by the explicit presentation of the problem so that in the process of solving the problem without doing the analysis first. Then the problem with the cognitive dimension of applying dominates the geometry material which is characterized by the presentation of problems in the form of routine problems with the cognitive process of solving problems using concepts and presenting mathematical information into mathematical models, and problems with the cognitive dimension of reasoning dominate algebraic material which is the highest cognitive level and the presentation of the problem is in the form of non-routine problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang efektivitas pembelajaran teknik jarimatika dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berhitung matematika siswa kelas III SDIT Fatahillah. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui tingkat keterampilan berhitung matematika siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan teknik jarimatika. (2) mengetahui tingkat keterampilan berhitung matematika siswa  yang diajar menggunakan teknik jarimatika. (3) mengetahui keefektifan penerapan pembelajaran teknik jarimatika dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berhitung matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDIT Fatahillah. Jumlah sampel 30 siswa, dimana 15 siswa kelas kontrol dan 15 siswa kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) tingkat keterampilan berhitung matematika siswa pada kelas tanpa mengguakan teknik jarimatika termasuk dalam kategori rendah. 2) tingkat keterampilan berhitung matematika siswa termasuk dalam ketegori baik. 3) penggunaan pembelajaran teknik jarimatika efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berhitung matematika siswa.This study discusses the effectiveness of learning the jarimatics technique in improving the math skills of third grade students at SDIT Fatahillah. This study aims (1) to determine the level of students' mathematical numeracy skills who are taught without using the jarimatics technique. (2) knowing the level of students' math skills taught using the jarimatics technique. (3) find out the effectiveness of the application of learning techniques jarimatika in improving students' math skills. This type of research is experimental research with a descriptive quantitative approach. The population of this study were third grade students at SDIT Fatahillah. The number of samples is 30 students, of which 15 students are in the control class and 15 are in the experimental class. The results of the study show that 1) the level of students' math skills in the class without using the jarimatics technique is in the low category. 2) the level of students' math skills is included in the good category. 3) the use of learning effective learning techniques in improving students' mathematical numeracy skills.

Abstract

Augmented reality (AR) merupakan trend saat ini, yaitu teknologi yang menggabungkan dunia maya dua dimensi/tiga dimensi ke lingkungan nyata dengan sualisasi tiga dimensi secara realtime. Sehingga Tim penulis mengembangkan AR sebagai media Geometri. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mendesiminasikan media AR Geometri yang telah dikembangkan dan melalui uji kelayakan kepada guru matematika serta siswa-siswa tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) se-kota Palopo. Metode pelaksanaan program pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), dengan Subjek pengabdian ini adalah 22 guru matematika tingkat SMP sederajat Palopo dan subjek pendampingan sekolah Mitra 13 siswa Kelas VIII SMPN 8 Palopo dan 31 siswa Kelas VIII MTsN Palopo. Instrumen dalam pengabdian ini adalah angket respon terhadap media geometri AR terintegrasi kearifan lokal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif persentasi rata-rata data respon. Implementasi diseminasi dilaksanakan pada tanggal 5 Juni 2022 dengan memberikan materi pengenalan AR kemudian demonstrasi media AR geometri terintegrasi kearifan lokal dengan peserta pengabdi adalah guru-guru matematika. Kegiatan PKM selanjutnya pada tanggal 8 dan 9 Juni melaksanakan pendampingan guru untuk mengimplementasikan media AR geometri kepada siswa-siswa kelas VIII di sekolah mitra. Hasil PKM menunjukkan respon dari guru-guru matematika rata-rata sebesar 84 merespon sangat baik dan respon dari siswa SMP menunjukkan rata-rata sebesar 75 merespon baik.
